Thank you Arctis and NetGalley for the electronic review copy of this book. It was a nice read, a bit confusing at times about two brothers trying to get and then play a newest video game that everyone wanted. When one of the brothers gets sick, their adventure begins and that’s when the story gets somewhat confusing. Another confusing fact is that the book is marketed as a graphic novel but its is actually a short chapter book accompanied by some illustrations.
Perhaps some readers would find this book entertaining, but for me, it was just confusing.

In this book, we follow two brothers, Ari and Joni, as they try to finish a video game called Kepler62. It's the latest craze and rumor has it that if you finish the game you'll get an invitation. To what? No one knows. But the boys are willing to try if it'll get them a better life. The boys start to play the game and think that they've finished but then, nothing happens. Until they start receiving mysterious messages. Then there is a knock on their door. What will the boys do?

This was a really fun book! I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series too.

Struggling to survive due to overpopulation, people are drawn to a video game. Kepler62 is what everyone is talking about and is nearly impossible to complete. When thirteen year old Ari and his little brother, Joni, manage to get a hold of a copy, they work together to complete it. Determined to do the impossible, the boys spend hours going through level after level. When they do the impossible and complete the game, they realize that it’s so much more than a game.

Diving into this, I was expecting a graphic novel, so I was a little shocked when this was more of a story for some early readers. Once I got over that shock, I did have an excellent time with this one!

Ari and Joni have a nice sibling relationship. Ari cares so much for Joni and it’s clear throughout the story. He really wanted his brother to be happy, healthy and well and did what he could to make it happen for him which was heartwarming.

The concept was wonderful. I love the idea of a video game being this invitation to something else, but even then it’s unclear and they have to figure out what it is for. It had me guessing and wandering what was going on right along with the kids.

When it ended, I was immediately curious when the next book was coming out. I was captivated by this story and wanted to know more about this world and the people within it.

Especially if you have someone in your life who this book is targeted towards, I recommend this. I think it’s a fun scifi adventure that a lot of people could have fun with.

I loved the storyline and how the characters grew throughout the book. This was the first book I read from this author, but I will be keeping up with the future publications from this author. The illustrations were beautiful and the panels were easy to follow.
