This book has potential and I can understand why someone would enjoy it. It's set in a small town, alternating POVs with Jade, single mom and owner of the new bookstore/coffee shop, and Levi, temporarily returning to his hometown from the city. Unfortunately, this was not the book for me and I DNF at 36%.

Jade is a single mom opening a business in her beloved small town. She's putting everything into this business yet seems to be completely oblivious to how to run a business. That's where Levi comes in. Levi is a marketing genius recently fired from his big city job, due to some unfortunate circumstances. We're to believe that he can't get hired anywhere else and has no savings account so he has to stay with his family in his small hometown until he gets back on his feet. He and Jade end up working together to come up with a marketing plan for her business.

I may go back to finish it in between books, but I'm having difficulty buying into the characters. The writing style just isn't for me and I haven't been too invested in the storyline.

Loving You is book one in The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge series by the amazing Samantha Chase.
I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to read some of her previous titles. And I’m here to say she doesn’t disappoint!
I’ve loved reading The Donovans series so I’m so happy to see a new series about TD.
I loved being in Sweetbriar Ridge and I can’t wait to return!
The characters are appealing, the romance sizzles and the connection between Jade and Levi is genuine.
Sweet, humorous, heartfelt, and delightful, this unforgettable story is the definition of charming!
Looking forward to the next book in the series

More Donovans, YAY!!!

Loving You is the first book in the Donovan family of Sweetbriar Ridge! I’m so excited to have more of the loud and loving Donovans! Levi is the one who decided he had to leave their small town to make something of himself, and he did. When he is suddenly without a job or any prospects, he finds himself back in his small town with his sisters and mother where he meets Jade, a single mom, and owner of the Books and Beans shop his sister works for. She needs help getting the word out about her new business and he happens to be in advertising.

The relationship build-up between Levi and Jade was just perfect! How they went from strangers to friends to lovers to something much more. I love the bookshop and café, it is something I would like to own one day.  Levi’s sisters are a hoot and I can’t wait for each of their stories. This is a wonderful beginning to a new series! I received an arc of this book, and this is my honest review.

4 1/2 stars. This was a great addition to the Donovans. I’m not sure if this is considered a spinoff or continuation of the original series. I enjoyed that it was fairly low on the angst scale. I liked that it was a change with the hero having employment issues. Single parent books are always a favorite for me. This one checked a lot of my boxes. Sweetbriar Ridge is another wonderful small town that I can’t wait to see more of.

Oh, how I love and adore Samantha Chase and everything I’ve read from her! The Donovans series in Laurel Bay is incredible, and now this new spin-off series for their cousins, The Donovans of Sweetbriar Ridge - I’m in heaven! I wasn’t ready to leave the characters when the previous one ended, so coming back and getting a visit with the previous family, even if it was brief, was just amazing!

I loved this story just as much as the previous series - Samantha Chase is such a spectacular author and anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity yet to read her many books is really missing out!! It’s incredible, with fantastic characters, great story development, depth, just the right drama, previous character overlap and steam vs romance. I can’t get enough of her books!

Levi Donovan returns to Sweetbriar Ridge after a career glitch in the big city, figuring it’ll be short-term. He runs into Jade, someone he knew in high school. She’s now a single mom… just opening a book store. Her son is very special, and he and Levi strike up a friendship. He starts helping out the local businesses with advertising while he’s trying to find another big-city position, while getting closer to Jade - all the while trying to remember why he didn’t want to remain in the small town, and also reconnecting with his father in Briar Ridge and figuring out why he left.

I absolutely recommend everyone grabs this book - it’s the start of a new series so a great place to discover a fantastic author (though there are crossover characters so better to know the cousins first).

I received an advance read and listen copy from NetGalley and Valentine PR & Literary Management, and this is my honest feedback.

Samantha Chase is one of my go to writers when looking for a great romance. And, she delivered on Loving You! Levi and Jade are adorable. Love just kind of snuck in while they were not watching for it. There is definitely a bit of trouble along the way, but they just belong together. They have so much going for them and so many friends and family rooting for them. This is one I did not want to put down. Yes, we know they are going to find their way to each other, but it is the love and trust found along the way. Cannot wait for the rest of the family to find love!

Jade and Levi have a great story. However, the families of both add a lot to the mix. Never be afraid to take second or third chances.

I loved the Donovans in Laurel Bay. I am SO excited for this branch of the family in Sweetbriar. While this is a spin off series, this is definitely an amazing series beginner/ stand alone book!

Levi is so patient and amazing, Jade is a hard working single mother. This story is just pure bliss. The character development is amazing, the town is perfect.

A must read romance book!

This was my first book by Samantha Chase. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Levi's life took a turn, so he returned to a small town where Jade quite literally fell into his arms. I am not usually a huge fan of love at first sight, but this one was just so sweet. The chemistry between the two is so real and heartwarming.

Jade is a single mom starting a new business and really is just a great person all around. Being from a small town comes with so much judgment and push back when certain people dont know the full story.

I can't wait to now go back and read some of her other books because this one sucked me in.

Wonderfully narrated audio by Carly Robins!

Thank you @samanthachaseromance @netgalley & @valentine_pr_ & @dreamscape_media for the ebook arc and ALC.

Single mom...

I really liked Jade, single mom, bookstore/coffee shop owner....She's very sweet and spunky.
I didn't like Levi...He slept with a client, married (of course) and got fired and rightly so. Hello. Never sleep with the client. He was kind of a jerk (he acted like a victim, but he chose to sleep with her, that was his decision, he only got caught) and didn't plan to stay in his small town. I thought Jade deserved a better man. At least Levi had an arc towards being a better person, but I'm not sure if he ever really got there.
Writing is engaging.

I hate what happens to Levi and Jade. Both were victimized by something that is out of their control and basicly didn't even do. They were the bigger people in both situations. Jade is making the best life for her and her son even though some in her town were trying to destroy everything that she does. Levi steps in at the perfect time. Sets things in motion to make her business really thrive. I like that they don't shut down and instead take what life has given them and made it better.

First of all, my favourite character has to be our fmc Jade. She was incredibly kind and stood up for what she thought was right. And worth fighting for. And did she fight for herself👏🏼 What this story highlights is the fact that it does take a village to raise a child and she had an amazing village being a single mom. And opening an indie bookstore? Jade I’ll come work for you!
Levi was portrayed as a jerk in the beginning of the story and I agree. But due to certain circumstances, he was greatly humbled. His character arc into a great guy was nice to read about.
It wasn’t a spicy story, it was genuinely a true love story. So if you are in the mood for a romantic love story, read this one!

A new set of Donovans with visits from the original gang interspersed. I am a huge fan of any and all books by Samantha Chase and I knew that this was a must read, not just because she wrote it, but because it had to do with the Donovan family.

This story involves Levi Donovan who moves back to Sweetbriar after getting fired from his advertising job in Alexandria. Levi falls for Jade but doesn’t want to get serious because he can’t imagine staying in his rinks-dink home town.

Thank you Samantha for adding the part about Levi going to Winston-Salem to trade in his Lexus! I live in WS and could relate to this part - just wish it wasn’t a fictional plot with fictional characters!

Samantha delivers a captivating and solid plot, fabulous characters with lots of interconnected fun and so much more with the first book in her Sweetbriar Ridge series. A great standalone read or one you can dive into to discover other loveable characters finding their way.

If you love small town romance with a cinnamon roll hero, a single mom, family secrets, town gossip, and a discovery that time can play tricks with our memories. Sometimes we need to confront the past to gain clarity and peace in the future.

Get ready to meet Jade and Levi who will discover the impact of town gossip, assumptions, hardship, and challenges when we think we need to face obstacles on our own.

If they can overcome the past, face the present, and figure out what matters most, it's possible that Sweetbriar will give them all they need.

Sometimes we can't our path until we make peace with the past. It's time for Jade and Levi to see if they can. No matter how painful or uncomfortable it might be.

Be sure to check out Sweetbriar for a cuppa, a great book, and a fun place to hang out. If you're lucky maybe Levi will make you a cuppa at Books & Beans.

Small town romance, sweetly written love story with its fair share of family drama.
Jade and Silas are wholesome and I loved the parent/child relationship a lot. The romance between Jade and Levi had me rooting for them all the way! It was fuzzy and warm.

I really enjoyed this book and it's definitely made me want to read more from Samantha Chase, so I'm off to read her Montgomery series

Such a good story. Jade was getting ready to open a bookstore/coffee shop as a way to support her son. Her son's grandmother was trying to destroy her business due to the lies her son told her. It was quite volatile. Levi had a high paying marketing job and was quite successful until he slept with a client that was married (he didn't know that) and was fired. It seemed he was then blackballed in the marketing community. He came home to Sweetbriar Valley as he had no place else to go. There he found his 3 sisters did not have a great opinion of him - all of which was deserved. It was nice watching him come around to what was important in his life and start over. He met Jade his first day in town and they were attracted to each other, but since he wasn't planning on sticking around, he kept his distance - until he didn't. I loved them together and Silas (Jade's son) is a cutie.
I like everything about the story and can't wait until the next chapter in this town.

I got this book from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

Loving you is a spin off of The Donovans. The Donovan's are a large crazy family and their cousins who are the Donovan's of Sweet Brier. Levi is at a crossroads when he loses his job unexpectedly live changes forever. Jade is what Levi never expected and the story is a treat to read.

Loving You is the newest love story in the Donovan's series, but the first in the Sweetbriar Ridge subseries. Just like other Samantha Chase books it was an absolute delight of a read! This is a book about second chances at life, love and with family. Reading about Levi and Jade finding redemption in each other filled my sappy romance heart up!

Levi Donovan is a successful advertiser, and his work is his life-his entire identity is wrapped up in it. At least until scandal hits and he is fired, leading him to have to go home to Sweetbriar Ridge. A place he never wanted to return to. Where single mom, Jade, immediately falls into his arms, literally and figuratively. Can these two find a way to love each other enough to stay together?

I really enjoyed this book It had all the romance and emotional depth that I have come to love in Samantha Chase books. That said, Levi is not the most lovable character and it was hard to want him to find a HEA. Jade had some mental health/trauma that did not really get addressed. She realizes it and makes moves to fix it, but it could have been more thoroughly addressed. I liked that this was part of her backstory though and it really added another facet to the story that I appreciated.

As usual with these books I am always impressed with how much character development and plot Samantha Chase is able to fit into a relatively short novel. Her stories are always infused with so much emotion, while still bringing all the things I love about romance to the table. I can't wait to see what she writes next!

Loving You by Samantha Chase is a heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance set in the charming town of Sweetbriar Ridge. The story follows Jade Mackenzie, a single mother determined to make her new store a success, and Levi Donovan, a marketing expert who returns to his hometown after a scandal costs him his job. What makes this book stand out is the genuine and relatable characters, particularly Jade's resilience and Levi's transformation from a charming but self-centered man to a caring partner. While the romance is central, family dramas add depth to the narrative. Samantha Chase crafts a delightful tale of love, redemption, and small-town connections that is sure to captivate readers. Highly recommended for those who enjoy heartwarming, character-driven romance novels.
