Great plot, brilliant story telling. Full of heart stopping moments. Another first class crime thriller which I devoured in one sitting. I finally turned the last page in the wee hours. Omg this book is that good!!!! One of my favourite author's has done it again. Absolutely loved it and highly recommended.

Another great book in the Morgan Brookes collection. To really appreciate this series you need to start with book one. The way the characters have grown over the ten stories makes it essential reading.
This book has a magical theme to it, women being killed on a stone circle wearing rose crowns. Morgan and her team once again racing against the clock to stop another murder.
This isn’t my favourite book in the series but still a great read.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read and share my thoughts.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing an advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the 10th in the Detective Morgan Brookes series. This was a quick and engrossing read, and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. What I really enjoy about this series is that you see the characters grow and change within each additional story. Despite the murders that are happening within the story, there are moments of lightheartedness between the characters, which moves the story along. The other area in which Phifer does a great job is throwing out red herrings and having more than one suspect to keep the readers guessing on whodunit. Morgan and Ben are trying to solve a murder before another one happens. Someone is killing who they believe are witches during the Ostara. They are found with flower crowns, white gowns placed within a stone circle. Morgan believes that it is a photographer tricking these women into a photo shoot and then kills them. Follow Morgan while she tries to solve these murders without getting killed herself.

A must read police procedural series!
Detective Morgan Brookes takes us on a dark, sinister journey when a body is found on a stone circle. Can she figure out what is going on before more bodies are discovered? Is there a witchy theme to what is going on?
I always enjoy the banter and friendships between Morgan and her team.
Definitely a fast paced, engrossing story.
I do encourage you to read the series in order because there is so much backstory to the characters that is important.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Stolen Darlings (Detective Morgan Brookes Book 10) by Helen Phifer is a great addition to the series.

Following her colleague Ben up to Castlerigg Stone Circle, Detective Morgan Brookes is shocked at what she finds. A young woman has been killed, left on display at the top of the hill with a crown of roses on her head. As the team race to get the popular tourist spot cordoned off, Morgan hears the heartbroken sobs of the woman who found the body as she identifies the victim as her best friend. When another body is found at another stone circle, wearing an identical flower crown, while the photographer is in custody, Morgan loses her only lead. Certain another innocent life is at risk, and with the killer already steps ahead, can Morgan find the connection between these girls before another life is stolen?

Morgan and Ben together again, and with so much action and intrigue, this book will keep you up well past your bedtime. There are definitely some great plot twists and turns that keep you guessing until the shocking ending.

I enjoyed delving deeper into the characters' relationships. The book had great atmosphere, solid, well-defined characters, and an interesting and unique plot that held my interest throughout.

A very good police procedural and one I would recommend. The author is skillful in unraveling the story with false clues, suspense, and tension.

I would highly recommend this book, this author, and this series.

How is this series still coming out with completely original and unique plot lines? The quality is as fabulous as ever, I love Sarah and that she's such a strong and compelling character. The book keeps up a good pace and is full of suspense and tension. It's everything you could want in a police proceedural/ thriller!

It is 6.30 in the morning; a woman is found dead on the ancient stone circle at Castlerigg by her friends from a Yoga group who she was supposed to meet. On her head is a crown of darling roses. Ben and Morgan are the team leading the investigation, which when another body turns up, seems to have a witchy connection.
Both have flower crowns on their head and when Morgan heads to the local florist shops in the area they found the killer paid cash for three crowns. Morgan is desperate to find the killer before they strike with a third victim.
Stolen Darlings is book 10 in the Detective Morgan Brookes series how time has flown. This is another fab episode in the series. I love the characters. especially Morgan. Not the typical Police officer with her with her black clothes and DM’s. But all the characters of the Police team are likeable and love the banter between them. Yes, again this has an interesting and unique storyline and lots of twists and turns that entertain me throughout. I just love this series. It never disappoints. 5 stars from me.

It’s never quiet for Ben and Morgan and when the discovery of a body is found on a stone circle what could this mean? A dark sinister force is targeting the Wicca community of shop owners and will Morgan stay out of harms way?
I adore this series so much. With a smaller group of main characters I am more invested in them and much easier to keep track off. My only complaint- not enough Declan!
Thank you to netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

This police procedural book is an fast paced read that is hard to put down. Over the series i have grown to love the characters, friendships banter and how they work together to solve thrilling crimes.

Morgan Brookes is dealing with the murder of a girl at a stone circle with a 2nd attenpt on a 2nd victim shortly thereafter. Morgan and the team are in a mad rush to solve the crime before the murderer strikes again.

Highly recommend the book but also the entire series.

How did we get to book 10 in the Morgan Brookes series? Set in the Lake District, the plotting is very good, the pace is fast and the characterisation is spot on. This is not my favourite book in the series, I didn't like the ending, but it's still a very good read. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

An unbelievably gripping new crime thriller in the Detective Morgan Brookes series. Book ten in the series. Pick up this novel and you will find it hard to put it down again, and when you have read it, you will find it easy to believe that you have actually been there experiencing the story yourself. Can’t wait for the next one !

Thank you so much Netgalley, Helen and Bookouture for the ARC!

Absolutely worth the wait. I can't believe how hard it must be to write hit after hit - that too within such a short period of time but Helen does it without any visible struggle. I love her and her creations so much.

Stolen Darlings, the 10th book in the Morgan Brookes series, enthralled me like the previous 9 did. I know I have been head over heels for Morgan since forever but this time, Cain is my man. He is so charming and humourous, always trying his best to uplift others, a ball of sunshine. The way he gave Amy space - whoops. I'm falling in love. No wonder Amber has an eye on him. Who wouldn't?

On the other hand, I feel so much for Amy. Grief is the deadliest emotion in the world, second to only anger. It tears you apart. I hope she receives better support from her surroundings and returns to a healthy life soon.

The writing, as usual is amazing and I was super shocked to learn the identity of the murderer. I didn't see that coming at all! Highly recommended ❤️

Another interesting visit with Morgan. I so love her and Ben together. And Cain really cracked me up in this book. I’m feeling like Amy is still not moving forward from Dex’s death. I am looking forward to the next book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

When a woman’s body is found on a stone curve, complete with flower crown. Morgan and the team make the connection to modern day witches. With another attempted murder and then a missing woman the team need to move fast to solve this.

Love the banter between Amy Cain and Morgan. This is a great team with Ben leading them. The characters are truly believable.

The story was fast paced with so many twists and red herrings. This is a great series. Can’t wait for the next one.
