Poppy is a matchmaker, Tristan is about to inherit a fortune-only if he is married by his birthday in just a few months. This is a slow burn, romcom, grumpy/sunshine. Very cute read!

I really enjoyed this book and I'm so excited its part of a series. I Ioved the interaction and banter between Poppy and Tristan throughout, and it had everything you could want in a romcom, enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, forbidden love its all there.

Poppy is a matchmaker at a top secret matchmaking firm in London. They have matched celebrities and royalty, those looking for love matches and those looking for marriages of convenience. When Tristan is brought to the office by his lawyer and best friend, Poppy knows she will be dealing with a challenge. Tristan has no desire to get married, but in order to receive a 30 million pound inheritance from his grandfather, he needs to be married by 35... which is in 1 month. Despite his gruff and grumpy nature, Poppy sees beyond the Tristan most people see and begins to get to know a kind and thoughtful man. Can Poppy keep her job and find her own happily ever after?

Grumpy x Sunshine is a favorite trope of mine and this one did it perfectly. While Poppy is a romantic, she is still realistic. Seeing her battle with her feelings and her love of her job is very relatable. I loved the settings... from London to Greece back to London then Edinburgh. It was fun to have them travel around. The variety of women they find for Tristan, especially his first match, made for some hijinks. I loved Tristan's relationship with his best friend Ravi and the story behind his use of the matchmaking agency and his wife, Jass. It was a cute story and I really enjoyed it and look forward to future Ever After Agency stories

Thank you for this book in place of an honest review.
Unfortunately I didn't really enjoy this book. The story was good and my usual type, a couple falling for each other who don't realise it but everyone around them sees it. The usual romance fiction. However I felt the story was really hard to read at times. Trying to follow who was talking was difficult at times and it had too much jumping between characters with no clarity on who was saying what. The story itself was cliche, ok but very predictable. Overall, it wasn't bad but also wasn't great in my opinion.

A really cute closed-door romcom! A slow burn, like reallyyyyy slow, a bit too slow for my tastes but good nonetheless.

A quick and lighthearted read that will make you fall in love instantly. The slow burn was a bit too slow for me, but overall the read was funny and much like a typically romcom - marriage of convenience, grumpy/sunshine trope and enemies to lovers just to name a few of the tropes in this book.

This book was really good fun and I enjoyed it. It’s fairly obvious from the beginning how it will end but a really enjoyable read to get there! The characters were all pleasant which I like in a book and the two main characters were an excellent match for each other! A great book to sit and enjoy over a weekend xx

Poppy works for an elite matchmaking agency, and Tristan is in need of a match ASAP so that he doesn't forfeit his sizeable inheritance. Despite how much they annoy each other, sparks begin to fly ...

This is a quick and easy romance, but unfortunately not one that will stay with me. I didn't particularly like any of the characters and I wasn't feeling the romance, so I although I mostly enjoyed it, I won't be reading it again.

This was a quick, easy read that was perfect for a lazy Sunday! I read it in one go: following a professional matchmaker tasked with finding a wife for a banker heir, it doesn't really sound like a book I would enjoy based on the premise, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Sandy Barker is an engaging writer, even though I think the characters could have been developed a bit more and I had some issues with the premise – very insta-love, very marriage-focused, both of which I find quite off-putting in romances.

Grumpy sunshine & forbidden love is what hooked me in.
The banter between the two main characters (Poppy and Tristan) is what kept me turning the page.
This was a sweet and fun read.
I loved the idea of the matchmaking company, and some of the side characters were especially fun. I snort laughed a few times with Shaz, and I loved some of the Aussie references.
I think Tristan could have been more of the Grumpy side though, and the blogger drama with the agency just confused me, but the sweet ending more than made up for it.

It's my first book by this author, and certainly won't be my last.
Thanks Boldwood Books and Netgally for the eArc.

Grumpy sunshine trope but wow was grumpy GRUMPY!
the setting is for Tristan to find a wife before he’s 35 in order to secure his inheritance and so he uses a service, that Poppy works for. Our characters felt a little stiff and flat so the development of their relationship was lacking. I couldn’t get into the flow of this book and I was disappointed because it seemed like the premise would provide some great opportunities for mishaps and for our two main characters to bond but even their relationship seemed a little forced.
The overall book was easy enough to read and is a spice free slow burn romance that has a sweet HEA

Screaming into pillow. Ok! So you love grumpy sunshine? Now add in a marriage of connivence … oh did I mention rivals to lovers?!?
I adored the writing styles and the pace of the book was perfection.
Poppy is so hardworking and I loved her. It’s definitely a slower burn but it just adds to the fun !
Will definitely recommend to friends and look forward to reading whatever comes next!!

A very beautiful written story . Two totally different people who would have never met if not for the reason that tristan is in need to find a wife in 8 weeks just before his 35th birthday so he can get his inheritage . Poppy is working in a matchmaking agency and he is her new client . At first he seems arrongant and not well mannered . While they spent time together meeting his potential wives they seem to fall in love . What will they do ? Will she choose to match him with his perfect match on paper or herself ?
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

"Match Me If You Can" by Sandy Barker is an absolute gem of a romantic comedy, and it left me in stitches from start to finish. This book is a delightful journey through the ups and downs of modern dating, wrapped in humor, heart, and a dash of irresistible charm.

Sandy Barker's storytelling is as witty as it is engaging. The plot revolves around the classic "will-they-won't-they?" premise, but it's infused with a fresh, contemporary twist that keeps you hooked. From hilarious misadventures in online dating to unexpected encounters that will make your heart flutter, this book has it all.

The characters in this romantic escapade are wonderfully relatable and endearing. The main character's journey, as she navigates the world of matchmaking and self-discovery, is both entertaining and heartwarming. I couldn't help but root for her every step of the way.

What truly sets "Match Me If You Can" apart is its humor. Sandy Barker has a gift for crafting witty dialogue and situational comedy that had me laughing out loud. The banter between the characters is sharp and hilarious, making this a perfect read for anyone in need of a good laugh and a dose of romance.

Match Me if You Can is Sandy Barker’s newest romantic comedy featuring a high-end secret matchmaking agency in London. The hero is a broody wealthy workaholic who is relationship-challenged and in need of a helping hand. The story references classic American movies, as they inspire the heroine.

Poppy Dean is a 35-year-old single matchmaker at London’s Ever After Agency – a below-the-radar business offering solutions for clients’ romantic problems. Poppy is originally from Tasmania and relocated to London when her heart was broken seven years earlier. She was a psychologist in Tasmania, and her family back home isn’t aware of her new career. She now uses her background to help steer her clients in the direction they need to go.

Poppy’s newest client is almost-35-year-old Tristan Fellowes. He must be married on his birthday, coming up in 40 days, in order to gain his inheritance. Otherwise his grandfather’s 30 million pound estate will be given to a bird sanctuary. The money will be portioned out to Tristan over two years, so the marriage must last at least two years for Tristan receive the full bequest. Tristan’s best friend and attorney, Ravi, was matched with his beloved wife by the agency; the founder of the agency was Ravi’s mentor when she worked as an attorney. Ravi is concerned that Tristan’s cousins can challenge the marriage (and Tristan’s inheritance) if it doesn’t appear legitimate.

Poppy really enjoys sparring with Tristan, and she spends her off-time working on his case because she is fascinated by him. She travels with him to Scotland and Greece to meet with potential wives. During this process, Poppy falls in love with him, which is absolutely against her employment contract. In the meantime, there is a subplot involving an unknown person who is attempting to sabotage the Ever After Agency. So Poppy is wondering if she will even have a job if she doesn’t follow her heart.

Match Me if You Can is a truly enjoyable romantic comedy that takes place over a short time span. The characters were realistically written and very engaging. The chemistry between Poppy and Tristan was sizzling, but the story contains no sex scenes. I hope that the author writes more stories involving the Ever After Agency.

Sandy Barker is always a good idea and this book is just another example of why. It checks the boxes of some of my favorite tropes and does it fabulously! Enemies to lovers-check! Marriage of convenience-check! Grumpy & Sunshine-check! Let’s go!!!
Poppy works for the Ever After Agency, an elite matchmaking company known for working with exclusive clientele. She has nicknamed her latest client “Mr Impossible “ because the situation seems dire and he is known to not be on board with the whole idea. But as soon as Tristan “Impossible” walks in, the sparks seat to fly between him and Poppy even as she is working to set him up with his future wife and the clock is ticking as there is a very large inheritance on the line. Can Poppy and Tristan works together despite what they feel and find Tristan a match and secure his inheritance or will they give in to what they can’t deny is simmering as they spend more time together? You’ll have to read to find out, but I guarantee you’ll love the journey they go on! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Such a cute story, it even has a big romantic gesture...

Poppy loves romance and all about it. She is a psychologist and works in an elite matchmaking agency. She spends her day finding the perfect person for everyone. But her latest case could be just the toughest.

Tristan has to marry before his 35th birthday if he wants to receive the huge inheritance his grandfather set up for him.

The only problem is, firstly there is very little time to get to know anyone, secondly, he would be happy to stay a bachelor forever and third he is not the most likable person. :)

Poppy tries very hard to find him a suitable match, but there seems to be one problem after another. The biggest of them is not to fall for him herself. <3

Adorable story! Highly recommend it to rom-com fans. :)

This was a really fun, slow burn, almost spice-free romance. The writing was suitably immersive and I liked both of the main characters….and was really rooting for them to get together. I enjoyed most of the side characters as well, except for Shaz, who was super immature and needy throughout most of the story. She kind of redeems herself towards the end, but in the end I’m glad Poppy will also have Jass as a friend as well. The MMC is probably one of the grumpier I’ve read…..and although I almost always enjoy the grumpy-sunshine trope, I was almost a bit concerned at the beginning that he was too grumpy. It was interesting to see the subtle changes in him, especially towards the end. I definitely think I’d look into more books in this series.

"Match Me If You Can" by Sandy Barker is a contemporary romance novel with a promising setup. The concept of international travel and matchmaking adds a unique twist to the genre. The author's writing style is easy to follow, making it a quick and enjoyable read. However, the character development fell short for me, and some of the plot developments felt a bit predictable. While it didn't completely stand out among romance novels, it's a decent choice for a light-hearted and feel-good read if you're a fan of the genre.

I really enjoyed this, definitely a bit of a different take on matchmaking companies which was interesting. I liked all of the characters in the book and thought they were well rounded and believable. I would’ve liked the slow burn aspect to maybe be a little less slow but other than that it was great
