Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me an ARC for this book.

Various feelings regarding this book.

Not horrible, but also not really good either. Lacking several essential elements that could have improved the story, the characters did not develop very much, and the way they interacted felt somewhat flat.

There were some amusing and endearing parts, altogether they added little to the overall appeal of the book.

It wasn't terrible, but neither was it very memorable or had much of an effect on me. Nevertheless, i would still recommend it to people though.

Match Me If You Can by Sandy Barker is cute, charming and funny, an excellent romantic comedy. Poppy Dean works for the Ever After Agency, one of London's best kept secrets. An exclusive match making agency that offers bespoke solutions to all varieties of romantic problems, Ever After prides itself on the professionalism and discretion of its staff. When a former, and now happily married client, Ravi , recommends the service to his best friend Tristan Fellows it seems like it might be the only possible answer to his very peculiar predicament. Tristan stands to inherit a vast fortune from his grandfather, but it comes with strings attached. In order to inherit Tristan must be married before he turns 35 and with this milestone birthday approaching in a matter of weeks , the clock is ticking. Enter Poppy and three potential brides, each with their own pros and cons and reasons for agreeing to a marriage of convenience. As one after another fails to meet Tristan's standards Poppy is both frustrated and a little relieved, until she is reluctantly forced to admit to herself that she has developed feelings for her client, an absolute no no at the agency. Still if she can keep herself under control and find Tristan a bride it will all be okay, its not like her feelings are reciprocated .. or are they?
This was a really fun read, Poppy is a funny and very down to earth character who felt totally believable and was easy to relate to. I loved the idea of the Ever After Agency and think it's a great idea as a setting for a potential series. The chemistry between Poppy and Tristan was not too obvious at first but it soon started fizzing and there were a couple of steamy moments , but what I really enjoyed about the pairing was their banter , I loved how easy and natural their conversations felt, especially when there was a little bit of flirting going on. The secondary characters were also really good, most notably Ravi, Tristan's friend and lawyer - I'd love a prequel story about how he met his wife via the agency.
If you like enemies to lovers or grumpy/sunshine romance this is a fun and easy read , particularly if you don't mind a slower burn.
I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own .

Match me if you can is a cute, easy romance read. Poppy works for the exclusive ever after matching agency where her new case is time sensitive. Tristan needs to get married by his 35th birthday in one months time in order to inherit a huge fortune from his grandfather.

It's slow burn and features grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers trope. The story started off quite well, however, I did start to lose interest in the second half of the book which seemed to drag a bit.

This is a short, easy little palate cleanser of a book.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publishers for providing an arc in return for an honest review.

Thank you to Boldwood Books & NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was the first book in the Ever After Agency series, and a second book is coming soon!

Usually enemies to lovers, and marriage of convenience books aren’t what I would describe as sweet, but this story was very sweet!

Tristan has less than a month to find a wife, per the terms of his Grandads will to inherit a sum of 30 million! With no time to waste, his best friend Ravi sets up him at the same agency he used to find love; Ever After Agency. Tristan’s agent Poppy works around the clock to find a potential marriage of convenience for Tristan, but these two are arguing at each step of the process. Tristan can’t stand this woman, yet he’s supposed to trust her to find him a wife in less than a month, or he loses his inheritance. Poppy loves her job as a matchmaker, but this client is driving her absolutely mad. Every potential match she sets him up with, ends in disaster. And as the clock is continuing to tick, Tristan and Poppy realize they may have feelings for each other.

This was an enjoyable, romcom, with sweet and witty banter, and a perfect HEA! I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series!

This was a quintessential rom com: a little cheesy, a lot fun, the perfect amount of light and breezy and angsty and dramatic.
I loved this!
Pick this one up when you want to just feel happy while reading.

3.75 stars. Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the e-book. Can we talk about the slllloooowwww burn between Poppy and Tristan and I ate it up like the best pie and I don't even like pie. I loved the banter between these to and the dry humor. I may or may not have screamed FINALLY more than once while reading this book. I loved the friendships they had as well. I cant wait to continue to read this series

Tristan is about to inherit a whole lot of money, but there's a catch. He has to get married by his quickly approaching 35th birthday. He enlists the help of a matchmaking service with high end clients, who are also looking for a marriage of convenience, to fulfill the requirements of the inheritance. Poppy is the matchmaking agent assigned to assist these matches. It turns out the matchmaking Tristan may be a little more than she bargains for.
This was such a delightful romcom and such a change of pace from my typical thriller. I would definitely recommend this book!

This is a fun, cheesy romcom with a grumpy sunshine forbidden romance. It is a very predictable story but an easy, relaxing read.

Poppy is part of a secretive dating agency and is searching for a wife for Tristan as it is a stipulation to receive his inheritance.

The romance was very slow build and I felt could have had more build up.

Overall a pleasing story that could easily be a cheesy film.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

With this storyline, you know the person looking to be matched is going to fall for the person tasked with finding the match. It's just a question of how that's going to happen. Tristan wasn't looking for a bride but needed to marry before his 35th birthday in order to collect an inheritance. Poppy knows she can't mix business with pleasure as she is the person in charge of finding Tristan's match. Cute story, might have been a little longer that needed but I'll be looking forward to the next story.

Poppy is an agent at an exclusive matchmaking agency in London when she meets Tristan, a "wanker banker" who is need of a wife to satisfy a clause in his grandfather's will. If he doesn't marry before his 35th birthday only a few weeks away, the £30 million fortune his grandfather has left to him will be donated to an avian charity. His best friend Ravi introduces him to the "Happily Ever After" agency and Poppy.

While Poppy tries to find him a wife in such a short time she's also trying not to fall for Tristan herself. Tristan is not a typical wanker banker from high-society London - he's much the opposite. Though he works hard, he's fairly insecure and often struggles to get his words out without putting his foot in it and ruining the entire situation.

I like the twist on the forced proximity/forbidden romance/marriage of convenience trope with this one and it was very sweet watching the two of them fall for each other, while trying to tell themselves that isn't what is happening. The story was funny, light-hearted and enjoyable. I liked that Tristan didn't live up to his "wanker banker" status and was instead a normal human who was dealing with a stressful situation.

I look forward to checking out the next book in the series!

This took me so long to get through :( it was a slow read for me, and it was hard for me to connect to the characters.

An absolute joy! I loved this book SO much! The cover, the title, the main characters, the plot - I loved it all. This grumpy v sunshine, forbidden love, forced proximity, closed door romance gave me all the feels. Wish I could read it again for the first time! I can't wait for the next one in this new series and I will for sure be reading more by this author. A massive five stars from me!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I think I must be the wrong target market for this book. I could not engage with any of the characters, least of all the hero and heroine. I have enjoyed several other books written by this author, but I couldn’t get into this one and DNF at 25%.

Match me if you can is a slow burn, forbidden workplace romance that will have you rooting for the characters from the first page. Tristan is a grumpy and pessimistic guy who lives to work and Poppy is an outgoing independent woman who loves her job. On paper these two should not work, but they do say opposites attract for a reason.
This book is such a sweet and heartwarming read
The only reason it didn’t rate higher for me was, whilst the whole slow burn romance between Tristan and Poppy was fleshed out the rest of the storyline fell flat in places and could have done with some expansion.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for the ARC of this book

This was SUCH a fun read. The banter was top tier + the Britishisms made me smile. If you loved “Fixer Upper” by Lauren Forsythe you will adore this as well

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC OF “Match Me if you Can” by Sandy Barker.

The trope was something I hadn’t had a lot of experience with and sounded interesting, but 34% into the book I put it on my DNF shelf.

I think the premise was good, a man has to meet and marry a woman in 30 days to inherit his grandfather’s millions. The woman works at a secretive matchmaking corporation and it’s her job to find him a match. My guess is they were going to fall in love and get married. But I didn’t finish it because it was so slow and the man, Tristan, felt pathetic to me. He whines a lot about how this is so unfair. 30% in I still hadn’t noticed any fire between them. There just wasn’t enough tension of any kind to sustain my attention.

Match Me If You Can by Sandy Barker just wasn't for me. I can only say that we lacked chemistry. I am sure that other readers will respond well to it however.
