This author only goes back to 1954 Gardener- which now is basically a cult to have sex with everyone’s partners, there are more older beliefs that don’t lead to cultish behavior. And yes I was a child raised in this cult. So I have very much the right to claim this.
I do not recommend this book - the first two pages told me it wasn’t worth finishing.
This book didn't age well as the historical part is quite dated and we know things were different.
The magical part are interesting and will surely help someone who's knew on the path

WOW, Very Informative
Raven Grimassi provides some background information on wiccan magick, stating that it first came to public attention through the writings of Gerald Gardner in 1954, and he called it “The Old Religion.” She states that Folk Magick is the belief in supernatural forces inherent in natural objects, as well as a belief in various types of spirits, and that the relationship between our ancestors and nature is a legacy handed down in the Folk Magick tradition.
I, in particular, found the section on herbs of witchcraft, to be a very good reference source. The author provides a list of herbs known for their mystical and magickal associations, and states thattheseherbs are known for their attributes and will provide users with a good arsenal of powerful herbs. For purification, she lists the following herbs:
For Purification:
• Dragon’s Blood
• Myrrh
• Mint
• Pennyroyal
• Vervain
For Protection:
• Cinquefoil
• Dragon’s Blood
• Fennel
• Rue
• St. John’s Wort
For General Blessing:
• Acacia
• Rosemary
• Orris Root
• Hyssop
• Moonflower
Additionally, she list many other herbs and their magickal properties.
The author discusses all aspects of Wiccan magick, to include tools, lunar and solar influences, wiccan rites, initiations, their codes of ethics, and many other wiccan practices.
This is a great book with a lot of resourceful information. I feel anyone can benefit from the knowledge contained within this book, and I highly recommend it.
Thanks to the author for sharing such well-written and valuable knowledge.
Wiccan Magic by Raven Grimassi gives a quick but thorough deep dive into ancient magicks. I found it very interesting. I have been practicing for over thirty years, and I found this book helpful because it has a lot of information in one place. I think this would be a great book for any person wanting to know the why's and the how's of ancient magicks.
I enjoy reading about others practices and while I am not Wiccan, there is much in here that we have in common, It had a great introduction and overview as well as information that will help not only a novice, but anyone wishing to learn more. A great read!
I absolutely loved how informative this book was! Raven Grimassi has written a quick and detailed book to guide you on your journey, as you discover the power within the world around you. I will definitely be purchasing this for my own bookshelf.

Wiccan Magick: Inner Teachings of the Craft by Raven Grimassi offers a comprehensive guide on harnessing the boundless power and potential of magick. This invaluable resource equips individuals with the necessary tools to embark on a transformative journey of the spirit, enabling them to unlock their true potential.
This is a good foundational approach to learning about this path. There is a vast collection of knowledge within the book.
I think this book would be a valuable resource for seekers without a teacher to guide them in the mechanics of magical energy.
Great starting point.
