I loved every minute of reading this book! I’m a huge sports romance reader especially with the sport being hockey. This was my first read from this author and I can’t wait to read more by her. I thought it was a cute and fun sports romance book. The main characters had great chemistry together and loved their banter together
This is a prequel and I liked the story and the characters of course just as I was getting into the story it ended, but it was still a good story, with moments of humor.
This was cute! Forced proximity fans the flames with these two. A novella that shows love comes whenever it wants. Rock is home for a week to do an All-Star game. Drea gets home to find a cute stranger on her couch. And so begins this adorable story.
NetGalley read.
Drea comes home late one night to find a very naked, very muscley, very handsome man sleeping on her couch. Rock Stevens plays for the Wilcox Wombats hockey team, and is in his hometown for an all star appearance at a pickle ball tournament. He is surprised to find a beautiful woman poking at him, trying to wake him, after he falls asleep watching a match.
Checking the center is a fun and quick read. I enjoyed the banter between them when they meet. The secondary characters especially Rocks aunt and the drunken psychic seem quirky and fun. This is an entertaining, easy to read romance that left me wanting more.
This short novella told the story of Rock a pro ice hockey player and Drea who works in a bakery. It was short and sharp, hot and heavy. Very little drama and HEA.
I love romance, I love hot hockey players, I loved forced proximity.
This is a really great, short and spicy read. I think the strength in a novella/ prequel is how well it sells the full series and I absolutely can't wait to get into the actual series. The romance move fast, from him being an asshat to hooking up a week later, but I guess it comes down to the length of the book.
Overall, it was a really cute story, the MCs were well written and I loved the banter between them.
Highly recommend if you're a hockey romance fan!

This was a cute little novella. Forced proximity, wacky tarot readings and small town shenanigans. It's very love at first sight feeling, which isn't much my jam, but it was fun and makes me want to pick up the rest of the series.
This quick, sexy, fun read sparked my appetite for the upcoming series. Rock's chapters were my favorite! I really enjoyed the characters and the humor. The romance was great.
Short novella...
Drea is the only Single in Singletree, so a visit to the drunken psychic is called for.
Once home, she encounters a naked man on her couch. Turns out Rock and Drea are renting the same space but Rock as a real A about it and not very nice (plus he ate all her bacon without leaving any for her). Somehow, in a space of a nanosecond, Drea forvgives him and for a week they hook up. A lot.
Short and quick.
This novella features Andrea (Drea) and Rocky. Rocky is a hockey player for the the Wilcox wombats. He comes home for a pickle ball tournament. When he gets to his house he finds new things but thinks they belong to his aunt, who he rents from and falls asleep naked in the couch. Enter Drea, who happens to rent the same house from Rocky’s aunt. Drea is shocked to find a naked man sleeping in her couch. They bicker back and forth but end up deciding to both stay the night and getting ahold of the aunt in the morning. What will happen next? Read this sweet dual pov novella to find out!!
Can someone please explain to me how this is a hockey rom-com? The only time there is any hockey at all going on in this story is when the MMC watches a game on TV. Just having a character be a hockey player does not make the story a hockey rom-com if there is not actual hockey in it. Ugh. Also, what is the point of the Zamboni driver? He literally serves no purpose to the story at all. Look, I get that is just a short prequel to the actual series, but give me a break. The romance in blah, there banter is sub-par, and to be honest I thought both MCs were trash. Hard pass on this one.
A bit of a conundrum to be honest. I'm not sure how to rate this since it seemed to be like a trailer into a new series. This was a cute read! I am intrigued by the new setting of this world and I have recently started to like small town romances. It also had an amusing element which kept me engaged and a very sweet HEA to tie it all off together!
Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing for a copy of this ARC!
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SPICE: 🔥🔥
I’ve been reading a ton of long books so this cute and sweet novella was such a palette cleanser and an easy enjoyable read! I like the quirky writing style of this and was hooked instantly!
Rock is a star hockey player for the Wilcox Wombats, and he’s playing in a pickle all tournament in his hometown. Drea works at a bakery and feels like she is the only single person in her town of Singleton. When she walks in on a naked Rock sleeping on her sofa, hilarity ensues while they figure out the mix up.
This was a great little read to get my hockey fix. I didn’t mind the Insta live between Drea and Rock because it was adorable and their banter was top notch. For a short book the side characters really shine (I’m looking at you drunken psychic) and the spice we got was well done.
This reminded me why I need to read more novellas and seems like it nicely sets up the next book. I will happily read more from this author.
Thank you NetGalley for my early copy of this book, I am happily leaving a voluntary review!
A delightful little quickie!
Taking place over just one week, Drea and Rock find themselves going from strangers to in each other's pockets literally overnight. A classic forced-proximity tale, this romance had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and just enough steam to power it through to a HFN, which is all one can expect after only a week, though the sneak peak for the next book will satisfy those looking for a HEA.
I really enjoyed the author's writing style, the well-developed characters, and the fast pace that made it easy to finish this in one sitting. I'm looking forward to reading more in this developing series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Quick read and it was fine. Since it's meant to be a novella prequel and I haven't read the rest of the series, there was a lot of relationship speed-up to get to HEA. Some interesting, colorful side characters but not enough to lead me to pick up another in this series or from the author, though, I love fun hockey romances.
A great start to a new series!
This was an entertaining novella that kicks off the Zamboni Diaries series.
After a mix-up forces Rock and Drea to live under the same roof for a week, their chemistry is off the charts, and no amount of witty banter can contain it.
I'm looking forward to the series, and hope we get to see more of this duo in the future!
This was a perfect way to introduce the Zamboni Dairies Series and I can’t wait to read more!
Drea comes home one night to find a naked man in her home, which turns out to be his home where his aunt has played match maker with the drunken psychic?!?! (doesn’t that just make you want to read more??)
Such a quick and easy read and a great way to introduce the characters!
this is a quick, fun, steamy, hockey romance.
I can’t wait to read more by Delancey if her other books are anything like this!

Have you ever read a book and immediately felt like you were watching a romcom on tv? That’s exactly how this book made me feel. Every page there was something funny happening to the MC that was pushing them closer together. Rock and Drea had instant chemistry and their banter back and forth was fantastic. I hope we see more of them in future books in the Wilcox Wombat series.
Moral of the story? Always listen to your friendly neighbor drunken psychic.

Thank you to NetGalley and Delancey Stewart for the opportunity to read the ARC for this book. This review is purely my own thoughts and opinions.
First of all, thank you Netgalley and Delancey Stewart for giving me the opportunity to Arc this book.
This book is a short Novella, prequel to the Zambini drivers series. And I gotta say it makes me ready to read the series! I can’t wait for it.
If you love hockey, cute romance and a good laugh this novella is for you! It’s duo pov. Drea ( Andrea), a baker in a local shop and Rock Stevens, a professional hockey player meet eachother in a very funny way! You can say that it is a perfect meetcute to tell the kids later! 😂 And this is there start of a steamy and cute romance!
This was a great short story. It was filled with laughs and outrageous moments. You can’t help but fall in love with this small town.
