I immediately wanted to implement tactics after reading this book! I’m new to marketing, but not new enough that I can’t recognize when something rings true, and boy does this! You ever see a marketing courses and books that are just regurgitations? This is NOT that.

This book makes marketing seem like a natural extension of your business, which is exactly what marketing should be. It’s not about being pushy; it’s about caring for your customers! This feels like a duh but also a mic drop since they actually show examples of how to do that.

It’s people first. Business (and marketing that pushes it) flows from that.

Check this book out to get out of the noise of marketing and into the heart of it!

I was intrigued by the title of this one. Anyone who is looking for an entirely new concept of marketing should read and implement this book.

This seems like a simplistic book on marketing strategy based on pain points and “underpromise and overdeliver” but it’s much more than that! It’s really effective, simple way to look at any marketing plan to get back to the basics of customer satisfaction and resetting expectations so both parties can “win” by benefitting from the marketing efforts. Its terminology is based around love but, really, it’s just the same as marketing a wanted product or solution to the customer who needs and/or wants it.

I was drawn to this book because I self-publish my books and always look for ways to have more sales- and one key thing I struggled with was marketing, how to constantly keep talking about my books, and also how to keep readers engaged and convert that to sales. The author takes his time to provide details on The four vital components every foundational marketing plan needs- and it was new to me, the simple things we do to connect with people, make friends and keep connections could ideally serve as great marketing tools.
I also loved the top takeaways section at the end of each chapter-which refreshed my memory of key insights from the chapter.
This book would be a great companion and encouragement (because the tone of writing is warm and vibrant), to anyone interested in marketing and looking to build great relationships while at it.

Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of this book in exchange for a review. I found this marketing book refreshing from other ones I’ve read in the past, and after shortly earning my MBA focusing in marketing. The premise makes sense, and I agreed with a lot of what was said and pulled a few good nuggets out I can use in my job. I think whenever you read a nonfiction book if you can pull a couple things from it and apply it, the book is a win.
