This was a very sweet story about three sisters: Amy, Hallie and Claire. It’s predictable in its hallmark sappiness, but that said, it was sweet. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and how sisters can help each other find friendship and love.
EXCERPT: A flutter of nerves ran over her stomach as she took the next turn, knowing it would deliver them to Beachnest Cottage in about four minutes, five if she took her foot off the accelerator.
'You really that nervous about seeing your sister?' Gabe didn't miss a thing.
She glanced at him. Were her emotions that obvious?
But it wasn't just the thought of seeing Hallie. Or even Amy. It was facing this house. The past. The feelings it stirred up.
'Please. She's my sister. What's the worst she can do to me?'
ABOUT 'A WEDDING IN DRIFTWOOD COVE': With youngest sister Hallie getting married, the three Walsh sisters reunite at their family’s beach house for the big event. It’s a celebratory affair, rife with cherished traditions.
But families are complicated, and these sisters are no exception. Claire, the eldest, no longer believes in love after years working as a divorce attorney, and she resorts to taking her “work husband” as her date to convince her family otherwise. Middle sister, Amy, fears a confrontation with the man who broke her heart by announcing he was marrying someone else. And although Hallie has always lived a charmed life, she’s getting cold feet about marrying her childhood sweetheart.
As the Walsh sisters grapple with the secrets they’ve kept from one another, they must decide if Hallie’s wedding is a chance to mend mistakes of the past…even if it means confronting their feelings about love, life, and one another.
MY THOUGHTS: I do wish the publishers, or whoever writes the synopsis/blurb, wouldn't give away so much of the plot. It almost wasn't worth reading. Rant over.
A Wedding in Driftwood Cove focuses just as much on the relationships between the sisters as it does on the romance between Hallie and Josh. Which was just fine as I found their romance to be cloying and sickly sweet.
I hate to say this, but I didn't particularly like Hallie right up until nearly the end. She is focused on having the 'perfect' wedding to the exclusion of everything else. We don't really get to know Josh at all.
This was a quick, pleasant read, a sweet and cute story, but I wanted more from it. There's quite a bit of unnecessary repetition with the sisters' issues being raised often, and I would have liked a bit more depth to both the characters and the plot.
I did enjoy that, in the end, it became apparent that it isn't the wedding that's important - it's the people.

I loved The Heirloom Inn so reading her newest title A Wedding in Driftwood Cove by Olivia Miles was very exciting.
Being with the three Walsh sisters really hit home for me. It made me think and miss my two sisters and I felt so connected to them. I loved being on this journey with them.
This was the type of book that hit me right in the heart and made me feel all the feels!
I really enjoyed getting to know Hallie, Claire and Amy and I loved how flawed they really were. They are such down to earth characters that I loved them immediately.
The author describes the setting of this book so perfectly that I felt like I was there in the story.
I loved being in Driftwood Cove it felt like I was home.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication date in return for my honest review.
This book was a big hug for me about sisters Claire, Amy, and Hallie. Each sister has a different life but when it is time to be together for Hallie’s wedding.
The book touched so many different emotions while I was reading it. The story was intertwined to make it feel like I have known these sisters my entire life. Reading about each sister and how their lives had so much going on and to be together for the wedding was like looking into a window and watching them interact together.
The author has given us a story that is so well written. Thank you for giving me this family and being part of their lives while I was reading.
Thank you NetGalley, Olivia Miles and Montlake for the ARC of A Wedding in Driftwood Cove.

(3.5 Stars) Hallie Walsh is marrying the man she has dated since she was 15. But when her venue is overbooked she can be married in two weeks or wait until the following year. With short notice she calls her two sisters home to Driftwood Cove. Lucky for her middle sister is a professional event planner. She doesn’t love planning weddings but will do anything to help Hallie. Oldest sister Clare is a divorce attorney. She and Hallie haven’t talked in almost a year because Claire said Hallie was too young to get married while at their engagement dinner. She no longer believes in HEA’s. Her work husband Gabe suggests a lot of pressure will be taken off her if she goes home with a boyfriend on hand and volunteers for the task.
The story is about the sisters reconnecting and remembering the bond they once shared. There is also a lot of romance in the air. This is the kind of story that at the 25 percent point I knew how it would all turn out. But the enjoyment was the author getting me to that ending. I was perplexed at the mothers lack of engagement in the wedding process although she does do some matchmaking. I would have liked the reconnection to have included her more.
I’ve only read two books by the author and by coincidence they both had three sisters and a house on the cover. I connected more with these characters making this one a better fit for me. This is easily readable general (women’s) fiction. The story is clean with only a few kisses. Thank you to Montlake for the ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review.
I loved the character development and could imagine being in each sister's shoes. It is a lovely book. Thank you! I do not know what else to add except when you find a good book, hold on to it.
Thanks to Netgalley for introducing me to this author.
A Wedding in Driftwood Cove is such an amazing read. I loved this so much. All the highs and lows of emotions the sisters go through as Hallie's wedding day approaches just settles just so in your heart. I love seeing how the sisters grow closer as they air out all their doubts and secrets. You feel for the oldest Claire as she keeps the biggest secret of all. You start to understand her point of view comes from the more you learn. Amy is the middle child and you feel her heartache for her best friend. You understand why she pushes her wedding ideas more and more. Then there is Hallie the youngest of the sisters. She faces the most as the wedding she has dreamed of starts to fall apart. You get why her doubts start to set in. I love how the girls grow closer and work out all their differences. Love may just win for the three of them in the end. I could not put this down. Amy and Claire have come home for sister Hallie's wedding in this tale of three very different sisters who have fallen away from one another but ....This has all the feels for those who like positive family stories (not all reunions have to be dysfunctional!). There are some secrets, there is some angst, but these three find that they are more powerful together than apart. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.
This book was a really good family novel. It made me wish I had sisters. I love that they were all so different but still supported each other thru everything. I’m glad it had a happy ending while you weren’t sure the whole time how it was going to play out.
This was a fairly light hearted story of 3 very different sisters - each with their own set of issues. Hallie was getting married in 2 weeks but was suddenly having cold feet. Amy dreaded coming back to town as her lost love was also back in town. Claire was the most cold as she thought Hallie was too young to get married and she knew a secret of her parents that had colored her expections of love and marriage. It was an easy read with everyone finding the right solution for them
I got this book from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was a good book and really enjoyed it all and rooted for this couple to make it. Love it all. read it today you will not be disappointed.
While this was a slow read for me, and took me awhile to finish, it ended up being a great book. By the middle of the book, you really did become invested in the characters and want to know more about them. The three sisters were written beautifully, and I enjoyed reading about their relationships and lives. This seems like a good read for a vacation - easy, enjoyable read.
I kind of knew the ending before I read the book but wasn't sure how we would get there. This book is charged with emotion all the way through. The three main female characters complement eachother. They have a typical sister dynamic of loving but not always liking eachother. Each sister has a story of her own that is intertwined with the main story of the novel - a wedding taking place in Driftwood Cove.
Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the chance to read this book.
The story centres on the three Walsh sisters who have drifted apart since their fathers death 8 years earlier but are back together for the week leading up to the wedding of the youngest sister Hallie.
There is a lot that the sisters haven't told each other over the years, and they struggle to reconnect and communicate clearly. Claire is the oldest sister and has buried herself in work and avoids seeing her family or beginning relationships with anyone.
Amy is the middle sister who had her heart broken by her childhood best friend who has never opened herself up to loving anyone else. Hallie is the youngest sister who is set to marry her childhood sweetheart and has always had a clear path set for her life.
The story is enjoyable to read and easy to get into. The characters are relatably human and normal.
A Wedding in Driftwood Cove by Olivia Miles is an adorable story of the three Walsh sisters as they reunited to celebrate the wedding of the youngest Hallie to her childhood sweetheart Josh. Claire the oldest is a divorce attorney who is married to her job in New York and Amy is an event planner in Bosten both have not returned home to the holiday home at Driftwood Cove much since the passing of their father.
The book was a very enjoyable read that had you invested in what the three sisters were going through to find their way back to the closeness they had as children. Thank you for a wonderful story.
A brilliant story of the three sisters Hallie, Claire and Amy. I loved each of the characters and their back stories of love and disappointment. I loved how the story unfolded with secrets gradually coming out and the way each sister gradually told their stories and how circumstances changed their mind about the way they were living their lives. A real page turner leaving the reader with plenty to think about.
A pleasant meandering read - it’s a story of romance and also the associated dynamics of family and their relationship changes over time. An enjoyable book and definitely would read more by this author.
A pleasant read. I found that while this is termed a "romance", the story follows the relationship among the sisters more than the romance aspect. Seeing how the sister's come together and the way that their relationship circles back to a positive place was wonderful. Yes, it's a HEA, but not in the traditional romance way. I would recommend this.
What a gorgeous book. Set in driftwood cove following sisters Hallie, Claire and Amy. Each chapter follows each one’s story as they prepare for Hallies wedding. Highly recommend and I will look for this author again
This is one of those stories where you think you know what’s going to happen, but whilst not completely wrong, it was fair better than I’d anticipated. I found it a nice, easy read (a good one for a holiday read). It wasn’t massively exciting, but enjoyable. I could imagine Driftwood Cove and the house, I could almost smell it (the salt and the wooden buildings.
