Greta is preparing for the fall festival in her small town of Larkspur, Wisconsin. Everything must go right as the festival has attracted the attention of a reporter from Midwest News. However, the reporter arrives to a crime scene and one of the town's residents has been murdered. Could the murder be related to the acts of vandalism that have been occurring around town? Determined to defend the town, Greta and her friends set out to find the culprit and save the town's reputation.

This series is the perfect cozy mystery for Fall. The atmosphere of Larkspur is the perfect town for a cozy mystery series. I loved Death Checked Out and immediately started Mayhem in Circulation. Greta is such a strong character, and I loved the growing chemistry between Greta and the Detective. I am excited to see what is next for Greta and her friends in the next book. Luckily, I won't have to wait long as I was approved for A Killer Hold set to release on December 8th (review to come soon).

Thank you to NetGalley and Level Best Books for the opportunity to review Mayhem in Circulation. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was approved for this book late and thus haven’t gotten a chance to read. When I do, I will post the review.

This was such a cosy autumn read. I loved the drama, and the craziness. Greta Plank is a brilliant character. Would definitely recommend to my bookish girlies.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audiobook through my local library. If you want to read a cozy murder mystery type book you will like this. It is a bit cheesy, very Hallmark type plot. But all in all it was good and I would read from this author again.

Picking up very shortly after book 1, this book also continues to pull back the layers and reveal these characters to us in new ways. I loved how Greta was apt to ask for help in her sleuthing this time around and I loved seeing the relationship between her and the detective grow. The reveal was well earned and I am looking forward to book 3!

Thanks to the author for a digital copy. All opinions are my own.

Greta, and the rest of Larkspur are getting readyfor the annual Fall Festival. There’s more pressure than normal to have the festivities go off without a hitch because the town is to be featured in a travel magazine.

When tragedy strikes and bizarre events keep occurring putting the festival and townspeople in danger, Greta can’t help but try to get to the bottom of things. Her sleuthing brings her closer to handsome Detective McHenry
Mayhem in Circulation was a charming read perfect for an autumn day.

4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to Net Galley for my copy of book two of the Larkspur Library Mystery series! I read the first in the series last year and really enjoyed it and this one was just as good! It’s a great sequel and such an easy and cosy read, which is just what I needed!

Similar to the first book, I loved all the bookish references and the main characters working in a library I just loved. The book has a real sense of community and this is displayed throughout, which is always a nice thing in a book!

I enjoyed watching Greta’s relationship with the Detective blossom a little more in this book but hopefully in book three that I believe is due out this year will reveal more! Desperate for them to get together!!! I also admire her determination in all that she does. The book does well to keep you guessing right up until the end with the murder mystery element of it too!

I would say you don’t have to read the first book in the series to understand this one but you’d be missing out on just another good read if you don’t read it!

This was so fun! I didn't realize it was a series, so I went back and ordered book 1. I do think this works as a stand-alone, I was just invested and wanted to know more! Mysteries and libraries are my sweet spot. I enjoyed all the characters and the plot was very solid. I didn't figure it out until the end.

I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

I love Greta Plank. Before reading Mayhem in Circulation, I read book one.

Greta, Josie, and Iris are the cutest group of friends. The way they work together to figure out what happened and why was well written. The chemistry between Greta and Mark has a lot of chemistry.

I love a good cozy mystery and Mayhem in Circulation did not disappoint. Look forward to book three.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest, personal review. I found this one such an adorable cozy mystery, with the small town feel and of course a librarian leading the investigation. I didn't realize there was a book before this but I am ready to read that one next!

Can I call a murder mystery adorable? Well, I’m going to. This is such a cute cozy mystery. I really loved it and was happy to find something i could recommend to family members and friends. The characters are excellent and engaging, and the small-town setting of Larkspur is the perfect backdrop…almost a character in its own right. Any story with librarians as characters has a bit of my heart. Greta is wonderful and relatable as the librarian and amateur sleuth. “She wasn’t trying to stick her nose where it didn’t belong. Really she wasn’t. But if there was anything she hated it was when things didn’t make sense. And a murder in Larkspur…did not make sense to her.” The touch of romance is sweet and well-balanced with the mystery. The mystery had several layers and was intriguing. I often find that I figure out cozy mysteries too early, but this one had many different possible paths and I felt like it kept me uncertain for a satisfying length of time. And the writing was lovely. “At this point, the whole thing was like reading the end of a book and then having to guess how the author got to the final scene. Greta longed to figure out the order of the chapters - to piece together the plot line and make the story make sense.” As a cozy mystery, this toed a perfect line for me with keeping the mystery from anything too gruesome or scary, but maintained suspense and interest. This is a clean story with no harsh language. This is the second book in the series and I’d recommend reading the series in order for all the carryover and background, but it can also be enjoyed as a standalone.

This was a good read! I did not realize when I requested it that it was part of a series, and it was not quite stand alone, so it was a bit difficult to understand. I love the cover!

Through no fault of the publisher or the author, I totally spaced that this was booked two in the series when I picked it up. Lucky for me, it didn’t prevent me from enjoying book 2. I am sure that I missed some details, but I was able to follow the story pretty easily. I still plan on going back and reading book 1.

This was such a cute and cozy little mystery. The small town vibes were immaculate. The mystery portion of the book was really interesting. I really enjoyed this book and all the good vibes that it gave off.

A nice installment to the series! I don’t know if I liked this one as much as book 1, but I still enjoyed this cozy. Loved the fall vibes! Greta is a great (& strong!) female lead. I enjoyed getting to know her more and see that romance blossom with the detective. I’ll keep my eye out for book 3!

Mayhem in Circulation by Leah Dobrinska is the second book in the series. I had not read the first book, and maybe I would have connected with this book more if I had. This is your typical cozy mystery. Readers of that genre might enjoy this book. However, I found this book hard to get through because it did not capture my attention. The small town setting was nice. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.

As someone who has read the first book in the series it feels as if Mayhem in Circulation didn’t have much action. We ramped up the relationship between Greta and Detective McHenry, but that’s as far as it goes.

The big reveal at the end fell flat. Glad to check back in with the librarians of Larkspur.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read the ARC. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you Level Best Books and NetGalley for the eARC of Mayhem in Circulation! All opinions in this review are my own.

Mayhem in Circulation is the second book in the Larkspur Library Mysteries series. While I liked the first book, Death Checked Out, this sequel has so much happen in it and has so many twists that you have to check it out! I ended up reading this one in three days because I couldn't put it down!

Set in the small town of Larkspur, the local librarian Greta is preparing for the Fall Festival when a disaster strikes. Greta must find who is behind all of the recent crimes in Larkspur before the town's name is tarnished!

I like that the author writes slightly shocking cozies and each book in the Larkspur Library Mysteries series has been great!
