It was an awesome cozy read, sadly I didn´t read the first novel or I would´ve enjoyed a lot more, it has everything I like: Set in autumn, a Librarian Sleuth (actually I would settle by any sleuth but if is a librarian is amazing) and a lot of twists. The only thing is that I had a hard time trying to keep track with all the characters, it should be amazing if we have a list of characters or something like in the Agatha Christies´ books.

1 star dnf - will not be giving a rating. i did not realize that this was a part of a book series upon my initial request. from what i read, the premise was excellent though lackluster in application. it's wonderful cozy fall read, and probably even better if you've read the first novel in the series. there were a lot of characters thrown at me very quickly, and i missed a lot of the setting build up that i'm hoping was part of the previous novel. i think the cover art is gorgeous however and that with proper pre-reading, this could have been a 2-3 star read.

Mayhem in Circulation is the second book in the Larkspur Library Mystery series. I had not yet read the previous book in the series and while previous events are mentioned, I was still able to enjoy this one just fine as a standalone too.

In this book, the town of Larkspur is hard at work putting together their fall festival... until the mayor's dead body is discovered. The inquisitive librarian Greta finds herself in the middle of a mystery and trying to figure out who to trust. This had great small town, fall vibes... and I am always here for a bookish main character! The mystery was great and kept me guessing throughout... if you love a good cozy mystery, this is certainly one to check out. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to going back to read the previous book and hopefully seeing more of this town in the future.

** I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of Mayhem in Circulation. I stumbled upon a new cozy book-related mystery series that I absolutely love. Great for lovers of ACF Bookens, Alex Erickson, etc.

Small town fall festival cozy murder mystery! What more could you ask for!? This was q quick read that completely submerged me. I didn't realize it was book 2 in the series and I can't wait to read book 1 !

A fantastic little cozy! There were a few different mystery storylines, not just the primary murder. My only feedback is that there were a lot of characters. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of them all.

I am always down for a book that is set in a quaint town with an equally festive fall festival! The story fulfilled my autumn cravings and was full of all of the autumnal hits like pumpkin spice and apple cider. I also always love a main character who is a librarian who is trying to solve a mystery! This was just an average cozy mystery for me story-wise, but I did enjoy it and loved the friendship between Greta, Josie, and Iris.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book! It was an easy read that had plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing who the bad guy is! There is flirtation, but it's a clean book with no steam/spice. Overall a good book that I would recommend to a friend! Thank you Netgalley for a copy of an e-arc in exchange for my honest review!

Mayhem in Circulation is an enchanting cozy mystery with lots of intrigue and an excellent cast of characters, set in a quaint small town.

This cozy mystery has all the elements I enjoy in a good, cozy mystery. A curious, smart, and kind amateur sleuther who happens to be a librarian, a handsome police detective, who might also be a love interest for our sleuther, small town vibes, an excellent supporting cast of characters, and an interesting mystery to solve.

Mayhem in Circulation took the mystery up a notch, bordering on a bit of a thriller as our amateur sleuther and police detective work to try and solve the mystery.

Overall, this was just such an enjoyable read with some thrilling action and mystery. This is book 2 in the Larkspur Library Mystery series. You don't have to have read the first, but I definitely plan to go back and read book 1, and I am definitely hoping for more in this series! I definitely recommend for cozy mystery fans!

Another cute cozy story in this series. I was definitely surprised by the "who dunnite" reveal. I like the budding relationship between Greta and McHenry. Greta just can't seem to help herself from getting into the middle of a crime. Looking forward to seeing more in this series.

A cute cozy mystery and a quick read. We're back in the town of Larkspur. It doesn't take long before another body is found! It's on the heels of a festival and celebration for the town, and recognition from a big magazine the town's tourism could use.

I loved the characters in this one, just like the first one. Greta is feisty and fun and I like her POV. The budding romance with the new detective in town is just adorable and I loved their interactions. Cozy mysteries are so fun to just sit back and roll with the twists, so I didn't even try to solve this one and just rolled with each new suspect the MC focused in on. Even if the ending had some over-the-top moments, I loved it all the same. I think I'll read book 3, it's such a cute little group of librarians - I'd love to visit them again for another mystery!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

A lovely mystery, not words I thought I would put together. Death of the mayor, I was hooked. This story kept me so entertained that I did not want it to end. Such a fun read and totally captivating!

🫶🏽What I enjoyed
Greta’s love for her small town reminded me of Leslie Knope and her love for Pawnee—a little over the top, but endearing. I loved Greta’s group of girlfriends and the tension building between Greta and the detective, though it is most definitely a SLOOOOOW burn.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤷🏻‍♀️What I didn’t love
Though this is a short book, the slow pacing made it feel longer. I thought some parts went into an unnecessary amount of detail, like knowing exactly what they had for breakfast on more than one day. I would have loved to have seen just a little more action throughout the book. It certainly reads as a cozy though, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is a great series for you!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If this series continues, I will definitely read the next one! I’m invested in Larkspur!

I just read Mayhem in Circulation which took place near where my kids go to sleepaway camp in Wisconsin so that was fun. It was the cute cozy mystery about a murder in a small town and the folks trying to solve it and save their annual fall festival. The town had a Stars Hollow feel to it, with quirky characters and fun local traditions. This is the second in the series and now I want to go back and read the first one.

If you want to interrupt your Christmas reads for a cozy mystery this is such a cute series! Set in a small town in Wisconsin it has the coziest vibes- in spite of the murder!
I love the way @whatleahwrote writes characters and places. Her descriptions are all encompassing and make me feel like l'm a part of the story! This is book 2 in the series and it gives me Ellery Adams The Secret, Book, and Scone Society vibes!

All I have to say is oh my stars was that book good!!

The story gripped me and pulled me in from the first chapter. Each chapter had new twists and turns I wasn’t expecting I could hardly put it down.

Greta (our heroine & Larkspur’s head librarian) is just so loveable and relatable. She brings an undeniable energy to the story, keeping everyone around her on their toes, especially Detective McHenry.

Detective McHenry is so deliciously broody I can hardly stand it. And when he finally delivers those flirtatious one liners to Greta?? Oh he still my heart! It left me squealing and kicking my feet every dang time!

Writing reviews for mysteries is so hard because I don’t want to give anything anyway, so I’ll just say this: the story is fantastic and you’ll have just as much fun piecing together the clues as Greta does. It will make you feel like Nancy Drew!

Leah Dobrinska has become one of my favorite authors. Everything she writes is full of life and tells an unputdownable story.

Mayhem in Circulation is a must read for any cozy mystery lover.

📖 Thank you to the author for the advanced copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

A lovely light mystery!

Larkspur is hosting the Annual Fall Festival and using it to promote the area as a destination, benefitting all local businesses. As usual, librarian Greta Plank is fully involved. Just as the reporter is due to arrive who, it is hoped will give the area a glowing write-up. vandalism strikes and worse a body is found - that of the lady mayor, no less. Greta is warned by the new police officer not to get involved - but she just can't help herself . . .

A lovely cosy mystery from start to finish! Packed with characters, both likeable and not, some red herrings and a few minor puzzles along the way, this is a very enjoyable read and a series I would like to follow. I didn't work out 'whodunnit' before it was revealed on the page, but it was a fun journey to get there. If, like me, you are a cosy mystery fan, then this is one worth giving a whirl. 4*.

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased review.
