This was such a fun little read! Perfect for this time of year!

Full of romance and cute characters, I think I preferred this to the first book in the series!

My only reason for 4 stars is that the pace was a little slow but this is definitely a well rounded, character driven book!

There's something about this series that just has me hooked! I really enjoyed this book, so much resonated with me especially that the main characters are involved with the library. It's fun, sweet, mysterious, and just good. The characters are very relatable, and you feel like you know them as you're reading them. The story, the plots, everything works together for a great story. This is the second book in the Larkspur Library mystery series and although I don't think it's necessary to read the first one to follow the second one, you'll miss out on a lot fun. Very good book, highly recommend!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

This is a cozy mystery from start to finish. It moved a bit to slowly and quietly for me, but I enjoyed the setting of Northern Wisconsin in the fall and the librarian protagonist.

This is the perfect fall read. I’m actually so sad that it doesn’t come out until December so I can’t force all my friends to buy it. It gave me all the autumn feels through the great characters and fun plot. I highly recommend it.

The town of Larkspur is a cozy mystery lover’s dream! Mayhem in Circulation lives up to its name with a twisting mystery and go-getter sleuth that will keep readers turning pages until the very end.

Librarian Greta Plank has quite a to-do list. Larkspur, WI, is preparing for its Fall Festival and a special travel publication showcase, only to have both sidetracked by the sudden murder of the town’s mayor. To avoid Larkspur from spiraling into mayhem, Greta and her friends vow to track down a cunning killer who will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Leah Dobrinska’s writing feels like being greeted at the door by an old friend with a cup of warm tea in hand. My second visit to Larkspur proved just as charming as the first, and while it was fantastic catching up with Greta, Iris, and Josie, I must commend Dobrinska on how well she portrays her male characters. Detective McHenry and Ed Kennedy stole my heart this time around.

And then there’s the mystery: Mayhem, indeed! Just when you think Greta and her friends are safe from harm, Dobrinska surprises readers with another twist, another shock. A heart-racing mystery that I devoured.

Dobrinska continues to delight with her Larkspur Library Mystery series. I can’t wait to see what trouble Greta faces next!

This was the second in the larkspur library series. I have enjoyed both books in this series so far. This book is a good cozy mystery, main character Greta is the head librarian, and she gets thrown in the middle of yet another mystery in her town of Larkspur. She is a fun and spunky character. These books are a little cheesier than some of the cozy mysteries I usually read, and at times I found myself rolling my eyes, but overall I enjoyed it and it was good as an easy and mindless read which I needed. I think you would enjoy this book if you enjoy cozy mysteries and are looking for something easy and relaxing to read.

I received an advanced copy from the publisher through netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Okay, so at the beginning I did find it a little slow to get into, but to be fair I find that with most novels. However it shortly became an addicting read I couldn’t put down! It’s a great cozy murder mystery novel with a hint of romance which I really liked. I did wish it touched a little bit more on the romance between the main character and her love interest, but it was still great nonetheless. The characters were well written and I liked all of the side characters. I’m excited to read more!

Librarian-turned-sleuth Greta Plank is back in the second installment of the Larkspur Library Mysteries!

First of all, when I initially downloaded the eARC for Mayhem in Circulation, I didn’t realize that it was a sequel- but immediately grabbed a copy of the first book once I did! I’m very glad that I chose to read part one before proceeding. I think part two could be read by itself, but my reading of it was greatly enhanced by knowing how the story all began. I’d definitely recommend readers start there, because the first novel does a better job of establishing setting and characterization than the second!

That said- Mayhem in Circulation did not fail to deliver on the promise: a sweet, cozy, and bookish mystery set in the Northwoods of Wisconsin in autumn. The small town of Larkspur has everything a reader could possibly want: first and foremost, a welcoming library staffed by Greta and her two best friends, the ubiquitous corner cafe, a sparkling lake, a hunky police detective, and a host of friendly (and not so friendly) neighborhood characters.

In this second volume, the mayor of Larkspur has been found dead in front of city hall right before the big fall festival she had been planning. Who is responsible? The deputy mayor with political ambitions of her own? The fractious neighbor who resents the intrusion of tourism the festival may bring? Or the shady journalist with a hidden past? There’s enough misdirection and plot twists happening at every turn that the reader can never be sure which way the clues are leading.

I felt like the plotting and editing for this one could have been tighter, but overall I enjoyed the mystery and want to read more in the future. I especially look forward to discovering what will happen with the burgeoning romance between Greta and Detective McHenry! For cozy mystery fans, this series delivers on all the vibes and twisty whodunnit suspense one could hope for.

As the town of Larkspur is getting ready for their fall festival tragedy strikes and their mayor is found dead and on the day a reporter is due to arrive. Greta Plank local librarian wants to defend the small town so takes the sleuthing into her own hands. Has someone local got a vendetta against the town or is an outsider trying to sabotage them?

This was a fun small town cosy mystery. If you're a fan of the TV movie mysteries you'll love this. This was fast paced and gripping and there was always something going on. This was well written with well rounded characters and great friendship dynamics. I only wish the romances had been explored a little bit more.

Highly recommend.

This cozy mystery is perfect for fall! We follow Greta as she and the hunky detective, McHenry, work to solve a murder in the small town of Larkspur. This story included plot twists that kept me engaged without raising my pulse. The middle lagged a little for me but this was a solid 3.5 ⭐️!

Thank you to NetGalley and Best Level Books for the ARC.

What a perfect addition to the Larkspur Library Mystery series! Greta is the perfect mix of Nancy Drew and Jessica Fletcher. And the quaint town of Larkspur is on the verge of surpassing Cabot Cove's crime rate!

One of my favorite aspects of cozy mysteries is the small town and the many characters that live there. In book two we had the opportunity to see more town life, visit with some characters we met in the previous book and meet some new faces.

I LOVED seeing the relationship between Greta and McHenry slowly build and I am hopeful we will see some more romance between them in the next book.

The mysteries were SO good. I was pretty surprised up until the last few pages before the reveal!

If you are a fan of and of the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries ( Aurora Teagarden, Murder She Baked, etc.) you will definitely love this series!

Mayhem in Circulation

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“ Librarian Greta Plank is hard at work planning and preparing for Larkspur’s Fall Festival and regional tourism showcase which, if successful, will be a boon to the local economy. But disaster strikes and chances of a positive review look slimmer than a periodical’s spine when a series of pranks escalates and one of Larkspur’s own is found dead the same day the reporter is set to arrive.”

I really enjoyed kind of kicking my fall reads off with this one. The mystery had me guessing most of the book who did it which I love. The characters were written well and I can’t wait for future books to see how they develop. I will be going back and reading the first in this series now because I enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this one for a good fall cozy read.

Greta and the gang are back in this second book of the Larkspur Library Mysteries, Mayhem in Circulation.
I loved being transported back to this small Wisconsin town with all the cozy fall vibes. There is another murder in Larkspur that has Greta determined to find the one responsible. There were several characters with motive established in this mystery which made it a thrilling read. The red herrings throughout had me constantly guessing who done it. I didn’t figure out who the killer was until the very end, which is a well written book in my opinion! I could not put it down because I had to know what happened next! I love books with a strong female lead and unique or quirky side characters, and this one delivers!

Overall, this was a fabulously written cozy mystery with the perfect amount of romance sprinkled in. The author has written some of my favorite books and I’m pleased to say this one is no exception. I can’t wait to see what Greta gets into next!

The story drops you immediately into small-town intrigue and a budding romance, right on track for a cozy like this one. The writing feels a little overwrought at times, with too much focus on character body types when it's irrelevant to the story and some overused words, but it's a quick read with a cute setting and just enough mystery to keep it interesting.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Need a quick fall cozy read? This book has the good mix of mystery, whodunnit and a glimmer of romance between the main character and the town’s main detective.

Set in a small town in Wisconsin, the town of Larkspur is planning to host a huge fall festival to put themselves on the map. But when the mayor(who’s a bit bossy) is murdered… the town’s head Librarian, Greta is on the case.

With so many people coming to the town for the fall festival… who has it out for the town this fall?

Overall, this novel is book number two out of the series. So I personally struggled keeping up with all of the characters and their backstories.

I did feel at times there was too many characters just thrown into the mix to give it the whole “small town, everybody knows what’s going on” vibe.

A cute cozy mystery that takes place in a small town.

Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read a review.

Super interesting book! I wanted to read it because of the fall mystery vibes and my local library is called the Larkspur Library so I thought that was a cute connection! Now I’ll have to read the first book retrospectively since I didn’t do that beforehand.

This is the second book in Larkspur Library Mysteries Series. I think I fell even more in love with Greta, the gang, and the quirky town. You have a mystery to solve with Greta & the gang without going into graphic gory details of the incident. The story focuses on a fun town with some curious characters. There is always some kind of activity going on in this town. But I absolutely love the slow burn romance that is building up between Greta and the detective in the first book they had just met and now they are slowly getting to know one another. If you like your books with a bit of mystery, great friendships, and a slow burn romance this book is for you.

I will be honest I sully requested to arc this book due to the cover of it. The cover gave off perfect fally energy, and I needed a good fall read this year. I sadly do not wanna give a review that is off due to me not reading the first one. I immediately was hooked for sure and this author definitely has a talent to pull readers in. I feel as though I would have raised it higher had I read book 1 first for that reason I am rating this book a 4/5 stars instead of the 3 i was going to give it!
