The note says that this may have been one of Austen's first pieces of literature that she wrote when she was a teenager. It does not disappoint and Austen proves she has a way with words.
Lady Susan and her BFF Alicia are THE WORST. I wasn't sold on a novella made up entirely of letters, but it works and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Northanger Abbey is still my favorite Austen, but this one is up there.
