This was a great thriller about buried secrets getting revealed! There were many twists that really kept me on my toes and guessing. I didn’t predict them, so I was constantly engaged. A well-written thriller!

ALL OUR LIVES ARE TRUE is a cozy-ish British Psychological Suspense Thriller. Notice I say "cozy-ish" to distinguish from the usual example of Cozy (British Cosy) Mystery. In other words, one starts out feeling relatively comfortable and relaxed (after all, the BIG CRIME is sixteen years in the past; that's more than a decade and a half). But by the end, the twists and convolutions have so multiplied I'm kind of surprised the protagonist's head didn't simply explode.

I was not able to finish the book and therefore do not feel that I can give an unbiased review about the book, its plot, characters, or the author's work. I might revisit this book at a later time and finish it then, but not right now.

This book was good but I couldnt say I loved it. I prefer a book to be unpredictable and I picked the perpetrator.

Abby Kirkpatrick has lived with survivor’s guilt. She was only six when her twin sister, Cassie, vanished without a trace from the room where they slept, an unsolved mystery that continues to haunt her family. Now, Abby is ready for a fresh start—a new town and a promising career in child psychology. Maybe if she can save just one child, it will ease her conscience about losing Cassie.
But when Cassie’s remains are discovered, Abby’s family is thrust into a devastating “trial by media,” with her father emerging as the prime suspect. Despite her older sister’s efforts to protect the family from fresh trauma, Abby returns to the crime scene, determined to uncover the truth about that fateful night. As she unravels a web of secrets, Abby realizes the close-knit family she has always trusted might be protecting a killer.

A slow burn. The story is told by Abby as a young adult. It flashes back to when she was 6 years old and her twin sister Cassie disappeared from a cabin that they were in with their parents and older sister. There were plenty of twists and turns in the book that made you wonder who actually took Cassie and what happened all those years ago. There are plenty of family secrets to delve into.

I didn't love or hate this book. It was enjoyable and I recommend it to readers just getting into thrillers, but I was able to predict the ending about halfway through. Overall, it wasn't anything new or enthralling.

I felt this book was more suspense than a thriller.

There are plenty of family secrets that come out while Abby is trying to remember what happened all those years ago.

This offers so many twists and suspects that it will keep you guessing at every chapter. I loved the additional perspective of a person losing their twin as a child and how they managed to live through the experience. The characters are generally pretty horrible but I found that did not detract from how engaged I felt in the story. A genuine page turner!

This was a pretty quick read and one that was super easy to get through. It was hard to put this book down as you just wanted to know the truth about what really happened.

The twists this story took were pretty dramatic and I was questioning myself the whole way through. I personally thought theending was pretty surprising, I really hadn't imagined it was going to end that way.

This thriller drew me in with the cover. In All Our Lies are True we meet Abby who is now 22 years old. When she was six years old, her twin sister Cassie disappeared from their cabin and has been missing without a trace. That is until now when her body is found as a pile of bones at the lake where they were camping that Summer went missing. Abby can't quite remember what happened, just that after it happened. Her family stopped talking about Cassie and the family moved away to have a fresh start. Now the reporters are back around and focusing on Abby's Dad as the Killer. But Abby isn't quite convinced but she knows for certain her family has been keeping secrets and one of them, if not all knows exactly what happened that night Cassie vanished. Did one of them kill her? Was it her Dad when he found out that maybe Abby and Cassie weren't his children but Uncle Dave's - his brothers instead? Was it the older sister Libby who is a control freak, someone who steals passports of people who look similar to her or was it her mother who donated Cassie's things and tried to erase Cassie from their lives after she vanished? Or is it someone else entirely? All Our Lies Are True was a rollercoaster of emotions and lots of back and forth and trying to connect the dots and keep your head on straight as it made me the reader feel as if I was a ping-pong ball or pinball going from person to person. This book I found is aimed at Teens to New Adult as the plot and characters did seem younger than adults would enjoy. If you love Karen M. McManus and Riley Sager, then you will enjoy All Our Lies Are True by Lisa Manterfield this spooky October.

I found it difficult to relate to or even like the characters in this story. That made the pages turn more slowly, I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first read by this author. It was a crazy mystery and I definitely recommend it.

Abby Kirkpatrick was just six years old when her twin sister, Cassie, vanished. After the press coverage and trial by the media, Abby’s family moved away to a rural home and never talked about the events.

Abby is ready to pursue a college degree in child psychology but will her overprotective parents be able to let her go?

When Cassie’s body is discovered in a lake near the spot where she vanished, police interrogate the family again. Abby is determined to find out what happened to her twin. What she reveals will change her and her family forever.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

A child goes missing and a family closes ranks among themselves and moves through life, until a body is discovered and brings up renewed police investigations about the night they went missing and what really happened. Giving this book 4 stars - rounded up from 3.5 - overall a solid read, there are a few things that I felt could have been more fully fleshed out, more background given in some areas. I thought I had an idea of what might have happened, the story did keep my attention.

This is my second book in a row about a twinless twin, and I think the 3rd or 4th this year.
These are hard reads for me as a mom of little twins.
Abby lost her sister Cassie when they were six years old. Cassie disappeared one night when they were staying in a cabin at a resort. It is now 15 years later. Abby is trying to move out away from her parents and smothering oldest sister Right as she goes to tell her father that she is leaving for college there is a knock at the door. It is a detective and he thinks they have found her sister at the bottom of a lake.
I love the setting of this book. The family lives in a home known as a "the haunted house". They moved there after their loss because the town turned their back on them during the investigation.
The home is creepy and her dad has things hanging on all the walls and displayed all over like a museum.

Abby bestie Georgie convinces her to go back to the cabin to see if maybe she can remember anything. Georgie is pretty chill and Abby is a bunch of nerves. It felt real.
The entire book just felt real. Like people blaming the parents because people need someone to blame when something bad happens.
And this poor woman has been living in the shadow of her missing twin most of her life. She doesn't know how to be without that.
I want more books like this. This is a five star book for sure.

This is a book that can not be rated lower than 5 stars...

All Our Lies are True, is equal parts suspense as it is emotionally moving. Lisa Manterfield, did an incredible job weaving together a storyline that will have you thinking about it long after concluding.

I was completely and totally attached to Abby. She was real, multidimensional and you could feel what she was feeling the way Manterfield was able to describe everything so vividly.

This book screams bestseller, Kudos to Manterfield.
