This sweet romcom follows Parker the head of social media for the Appies (a minor league hockey team) and her quest for a date for her father’s birthday gala.

Which is where Logan, Parker’s brother’s ex best friend comes in clad in hockey gear and coming back from an injury. He’s been sent from the NHL to play for the Appies while he “gets his head right”.

Over all I really enjoyed the sweet no spice romcom. I really wish we could have gotten more time with the team as they all seemed really close to Parker. What we did get was fantastic though.

Rating: 4.5 stars
Spice: Sweet, kisses only
Language: Clean

I loved how we jumped straight into the book, there was no dribble just straight into the world of the Appies hockey team and Harvest Hollow . Logan our MMC treated Parker our FMC fabulously and like the light of his world. I felt that the main characters were very relatable and human. I had a great laugh when Parker was explaining all her attempted first kiss disasters. Oooooo boy when I say there was chemistry even in their "no kiss" end to their first date man it was soooo good.

Overheard conversations that lead to one character jumping to the wrong conclusion to create conflict is not my favourite plot device but I'm glad to say that it really did not last long. On the other hand I did love to see Logans character growth where he really began to open up and start to form connections.

I wish we got a bit more of the story. I personally felt that it was a bit cut off at the end (don't know what else to say about this without giving to much away). Over all I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series especially Felixs story. Honestly if Emma wanted to give each of the hockey boys a story I would totally read them. Bring on more clean and sweet hockey books.

This was a cute, sweet fake dating romance book. I loved the romance, I loved the hockey, and I loved all the characters (especially the teammates!). And I binged this book pretty much in one sitting! I wish there were fewer TikTok references/dances, as that probably won't age too well, but other than that it was a fun read and exactly what I was hoping for when I picked it up.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing the ebook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book sadly did not work for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters and felt the story to be very surface level

I loved this so much! This tension in this was everything. Love the never been kissed story. I could not put this one down. I just loved Parker. I cannot wait to read more in this series. Thank you to Netgalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair is the perfect Fall book as we head into the colder months. Set in the quaint town of Harvest Hollow, two childhood friends who haven’t spoken to each other in years are thrust into each others lives, whether they want to or not. Logan, a professional hockey player is sent down to play for a local farm team, while his ex-friend’s sister, Parker works as the social media manager. Sparks fly as the two get reacquainted. This book had just the right amount of spiciness and right up my hockey-loving alley. This book also tastefully touches on anxiety. You’ll want to pick this one up and get your cozy on this season.

Such a sweet story. I’m normally not a closed door romance person, but this didn’t feel me lacking at all. The epilogue had me so emotional.
I did feel that it was a bit too “meta” for me with all the TikTok references.

The characterization was incredible and the humor was endless! Such great tension between the leads. It's only been out 2 weeks and I've read it 3 times already. I can't get enough!

This was a very sweet small town hockey romance! I thought the grumpy-sunshine trope was done so well and I absolutely loved the camaraderie of the guys on the hockey team!

I have posted a review post on my Bookstagram which is linked below and is copy/pasted as well. I didn’t like that the archive date was changed from the email when I was accepted, so I had to get Kindle Unlimited to read it.

Sometimes a book surprises you in a great way or ends up disappointing you. Sometimes a book turns out exactly the way you expected it to. That’s what Just Don’t Fall was like for me. It was a cute, easy breezy and nice read. It wasn’t life changing or spectacular but don’t have any negative things to say as well. I found the main character Parker relatable. I’m a big fan of all the fall small town vibes. Fake dating isn’t one of my favorite tropes as it is so predictable and repetitive to me, but it still fun to read about.

Just Don’t Fall is the first book in a new series of standalone closed door rom com books set in the small town of Harvest Hollow. It is dual pov, so we follow the main characters Logan and Parker. Logan is a hockey player who recovering from an injury demoted to the minor league team Appies located in Harvest Hollow. Parker works for social media for the Appies. It turns out Logan is the former best friend of Parker’s brother Brandon. They were childhood friends but never romantically involved, although Parker always had a crush on Logan. A fake dating arrangement comes into play when Parker needs a date to her father’s party. Logan and Parker have to deal with feelings that complicate their “fake relationship” and the fact that it may be real.

I would recommend Just Don’t Fall if you’re looking for a no spice fall themed rom com. It’s out now and free to read on Kindle Unlimited. It is a nice feel good book.

This book. Ohmylanta! Swoon me over. This title is perfectly ironic because by the end of the first page you will just fall in love with this story. It’s flirty and laugh out loud funny with so many little tidbits that attests to the greatness of @kikimojo

Logan has that hot broody hockey player thing going for him and yet his vulnerability got to me. We meet all his sides and I need a fan. I mean I am a fan.

Parker has an awesome name and the personality to go with it. She’s the social media guru for the hockey team and I adored the way the players treated her.

I’m trying not to gush, but it’s super hard. Basically picture the time you were in high school and your crush walked by and you turn to your bestie and jump up and down speaking in whispered high voices that are usually only understood by dolphins. Yep. Like that. So many things to love.

You will just fall in love with:

🏒the players and their Boss
😆laugh out loud writing
😘the almost first kiss
🕸️how Logan calls her Pete
⛸️the ice scene
🪑the fancy chair
🔥the gala
🐈‍⬛Mr. Eds
😳the beginning
😊the middle
😍the ending
😂So everything

Logan and Parker will warm your heart and melt the ice. It’s the perfect kind of romcom and without the spice.

I enjoyed a complimentary copy through NetGalley and these are my own opinions. Clearly I’m a bit obsessed. This is the first book in the Sweater Weather Series that is sweeping bookstagram by storm. Don’t miss out on this one!!

It's all in the title, but do you think I listened? No. Absolutely not. I fell in love with this book so fast.
This closed-door, grumpy x sunshine, childhood friend romance was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you to Victory Editing and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
NHL hot shot Logan returns to his small hometown of Harvest Hollow but it's not by choice. After a not-so-nice altercation with a fan, the NHL move him to the small AHL team "Appies" in the hopes of him getting his act back together. The only catch is, he'll have to shake his little toosh for a few TikTok videos if he ever has a chance of getting back to the big leagues.
And you know who has a front-row seat as the Appies media manager, Logan's ex-best friend's little sister, Parker. Who just so happens, isn't so little anymore. In fact, the four-year age gap doesn't seem as drastic anymore.

It's been a hot minute since reading a closed-door romance (sorry mum), but this still hit all the right spots. I loved the banter and chemistry between Logan and Parker. The dual POV was great to see how both Logan and Parker think and process things. Parker was an absolute hoot with her quirky yet relatable personality.
I don't think I got even halfway through this novel before I forgot to take notes I was that wrapped up in the story. A few adulting tasks definitely got put to the wayside while reading this one.
I think Logan's backstory could have been developed slightly more but other than that I'd say this was such a great read to pick up over the weekend and I'll definitely be recommending it.
This is one of those novels you just wish were longer so you can stay in the story a little bit longer.
With all that said I'll wrap it up with this, I love Ivy. IYKYK. ;)

Logan left his hometown to be in the NHL but now he has to rebuild his reputation by going back to minor league. He plays for his hometown team and finds out that his contract includes being apart of the teams social media. He is shocked to find out Parker (his ex best friends sister)is the social media manager. Parker and Logan have not talked to or seen each other in 10 years; when Logan left without a word. Parker has always had a crush on Logan but he hurt her when he left without a word. Parker and Logan fake date for a while before they actually get the courage to be honest about their feelings.

This is my first St. Clair book and I really enjoyed it. This closed door romance between Logan and Parker was sweet and I enjoyed seeing two main characters interacting. I found myself waiting on Parker to come to her senses and notice that Logan really does feel the same about her. The only thing I had a little bit of a problem with was how often the fact that Parker had not kissed someone yet kept coming up and the ending felt rushed.

Thank you to Net Galley and for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

I started this book thinking I probably wasn't the target audience (and immediately planning to recommend it to my 20- something daughters), and ended up really enjoying it even though closed door romances aren't typically my thing. The two main characters were such a delight!

Emma is one of my favorite authors! There isn't anything she could write that I wouldn't read! Plus the never been kissed trope isn't done enough and Emma executed it beautifully!

What a fun and cute read! I always love Emma St. Clair’s book because they just leave me feeling happy and I catch myself grinning so much in them! Would definitely recommend for someone looking for something lighthearted to read this fall!

As DJ on Full House use to say “Oh mylanta.” This book has left me in a book hanger it was so good. Logan character was the type to make you swoon. And Parker was all kinds of peppy goodness. The two characters interactions together was all kinds of fun. Emma St. Clair hooked me with this one right in the beginning and although I did put the book down it wasn’t by choice. I would have read this one straight through if I could have. Tropes include brothers best friend, never been kissed, & a sports romance. Grab this book you won’t be disappointed.

This is my first Emma ST. Clair book and it will not be my last!!! This story had no true “spice” but that did not stop a 5 star review!

The emotional connection that develops between the characters is exceptional!! This story was a sister and brother’s ex-best friend. The love was felt in the writing. The past experiences were beautifully explained. The relationships were well established with a background of how the characters met one another.

This book was about empowerment and becoming the adult you want to be away from your family! I have experienced that and connected emotionally to that in this book as well.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Highly suggest reading it! I don’t want to share any spoilers! I laughed, I cried and I felt warm and gooey inside. Wonderful story!!

Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this book.

"Just Don't Fall" by Emma St. Clair is a delightful and heartfelt second-chance romance that explores the rekindling of a childhood crush. Logan Barnes, a former bad boy hockey star, returns to Harvest Hollow, reigniting old feelings for his best friend's sister, who happens to be the team's social media manager. The novel masterfully blends humour, emotional depth, and sizzling chemistry, making it a captivating read that will keep you hooked until the very end.

This was a really sweet and fast paced hockey romance. I wasn't a fan of Parker's character, in the sense that she was very inexperienced in a childlike way, however I respect that there are many women out there that can still relate to Parker's character, therefore this book is perfect for the right reader.
