This is a very cute Hockey Romance and has every trope you would love in a rom com, like a forced proximity situation with your ex best friends sister, fake dating and even practice dating.
And believe me I was in it to win in, I really don't mind if there is no seggsy scenes as long as we have a meaningful connection between our main characters, but I seemed to have lost it somewhere. I feel like I wanted more background on this, but I never got it.
Still I recommend this t people who love those tropes and want to have a good laugh, because it is quite funny.

This book was so cute! It was nice to have a hockey romance without half the "plot" being spice. The "TikTok" job was honestly kind of cute and not too dated or cringy. It had just enough references to be fun without that being the whole story. Also I normally don't love a friends to lovers plot, but this had some lingering animosity between the two that I feel like made it a bit less of that.
Seeing the two MCs rekindle their friendship, as well as watching the male MC heal and make friendships with the others on the team was nice! And the constant rotating POV was nice to always know what they both were thinking.
Overall this was a fast, cute read that I enjoyed.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book.

Things in Harvest Hollows get a whole lot more interesting when hockey star, Logan Barnes, comes to town. An incident with a fan (and injury) has sent the NHL player back to his roots to play in the minor league team. Parker, the team’s social media manager, knew Logan before all the fame, back when he was just a boy who had her heart… and then crushed it when he left all those years ago. After a little lie, the two end up in a fate dating situation where the line between fake and real becomes blurred as feelings of the past rise to the surface.
This was such a heart-warming, fluffy read! The characters were so cute, and their intimate moments together were written with such tenderness and passion. Emma St. Clair was able to build fiery heat without any explicit spice which I thought was very well done. They really had me swooning. I loved the hockey teams 'Savannah Bananas' vibe and how playful the members of the Appie’s team were (they were also so supportive and protective of the main character which I thought was sweet). I did get a little bit lost in the plot throughout the novel and I wasn’t entirely sure where things were headed, I also think it would have been nice to learn a bit more about the characters and their life in general. Just Don't Fall was a fun, refreshing read and a take on hockey romance that I haven’t read before.

So delightful! I don't know how else to describe the witty, clever, fun,swoonworthy joy of this book. I feel in love with Logan right along with Parker, and I laughed my tush off along the way. It's such a refreshing change to have a well written, non fluff book that doesn't venture into the lewd category. Keep it clean and wholesome, but keep it fun and readworthy! Ms. St. Clair does it masterfully. This is my first book by her and I'm now desperately hunting down all of her other delights!!!

Just Don’t Fall is the first book in the new and innovative Sweater Weather series- standalone closed-door romances by different authors, all located in the autumn-tastic Harvest Hollow. It tells the story of Parker and Logan, former childhood friends who fell out of each other’s lives and have suddenly been reunited when Logan arrives to play for the local hockey team whose pr is handled by Parker. It somehow manages to be squeaky-clean yet filled with chemistry, and it’s absolutely lovely and one you’ll no doubt find yourself flying through.
Featured tropes:
-Closed Door
-Fake Dating
-Hockey Romance
-Brother’s Best Friend
-Never Been Kissed
-Workplace Romance
-Sunny vs Grumpy
-Hometown Return/ Reunion
Excited to return to Harvest Hollow for the rest of this sweet series.
Thank you Emma St. Clair, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was such a cute read and I absolutely loved it! The characters were relatable and I did feel connected to them, I loved watching them grow and discover each other.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for a eARC. I found this book to be adorable with lovable witty characters. This is a face pace hockey romcom with no spice. We follow Parker and Logan who you childhood friends but grow apart after Logan ghost her to play in the NHL. After an unfortunate injury and a mishap with a fan Logan finds himself playing semi pro for his hometown team where (shocker) Parker works as a contest creator! The romance was clean and very cute and I found it to be entertaining! This is a perfect book to read for the fall time!

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I call this type of book the comfort food book. You just feel cozy and happy reading it. I it's a fun read that you don't want to put down, and you fall in love with Logan as much as Spencer does. I did indeed sign up to read about the honeymoon because I didn't want the relaxation to end .

Thank you to Emma St. Clair, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for giving me an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
A cosy romance with likeable characters. Parker is an interesting heroine and Logan is ... Logan. He's a somewhat mysterious, withdrawn athlete who only loves Parker.
They fell into each other's arms quite quickly, despite not having seen each other for ten years, but the author had said there would be very little angst, so I expected that. In fact, I was a little annoyed when Parker started jumping to conclusions without talking to Logan about it. The monologues where she assumes Logan's feelings weren't really necessary.
I found that the story moved quite quickly despite being 330 pages long. The fake dating and brother's best friend tropes were engaging. The plot doesn't really focus on hockey and I thought it was a shame that we didn't get to see more of the other team members because we don't get attached to them and their overprotective behaviour is a bit of a turn-off, as we don't really understand why.
It's still a lovely, cosy autumn romance, with no real drama.

First thought: Sweet feel good second chance hockey romance that is binge worthy. It has fun canter, goofy ticktoks, fake dating, childhood crush and grand gestures that everyone will love!
Parker is the daughter of a tech mogul who wants to control her life, but she left the world of comfort to forge her own path and works as a social media manger for the local hockey team. But this new season is going to be rough as they are getting a new player sent down from the NHL and he happens to be her childhood crush and brothers ex best friend.
Logan signed into the NHL at 18, leaving everything behind without a goodbye. He has had trouble being a team player and after his last injury and a fight with a fan he landed himself in the minor leagues back in his home town. His agent also left out his contract includes social media which he doesn’t do, first day he meets the team social manger and to his surprise it’s his ex best friends little sister who he has always had a soft spot for. But man she’s grown up and is no longer his little Pete.
This is a fun story that throws Logan and Parker into a fake dating situation to get her out of a setup by her intrusive father. However fake dating leads to both wanting more but afraid to ask for it. This is a clean closed door romance that everyone will fall in love with.
Tropes you’ll find:
* Hockey
* Fake Dating
* Best Friends Brother
* Childhood Crush
* Closed Door

Logan Barnes gets knocked down from the NHL and is stuck playing for the Harvest Hollow minor league team. At his first meeting, he realizes that the teams social media manager is his ex-best friends little sister who he left with no words when he went to the NHL. Parker and Logan will have to work together a lot and with some pressure from her dad, Parker admits that Logan will be her date to his birthday party and they end up fake dating. Will the be able to keep it as a fake relationship or will it turn to more?
This was a cute hockey romance that also had a brothers best friend trope. Parker and Logan had lots of chemistry and I loved the involvement from the rest of the hockey team as well. This is a closed door romance, but the building chemistry is still 100% there! Such a sweet story.

What a treat! So many things to love about this book. From Logan's attentiveness to Parker's feisty nature, it was all such a treat.
He was so sweet to her. The Fancy Chair in Parker Pink colour 😂 a date including a visit to the bookstore, roping in his teammates for sweet gesture of his love for her, all so she could know that they're so good together it doesn't make sense that they're faking it.
I loved that even though the higher-ups didn't value her, the players themselves held her in high regard. I mean, the hazing that Logan fell victim to when they discovered there was something between Logan and Parker? Hilarious 😂 I wonder how he looked in a crop top and biker shorts 🤭
She had never been kissed before, and so I loved how Logan wanted to do right by her. The almost-kisses were to die for. The chemistry and all the tension was superb!
Logan came to the team with all his grumpiness and apprehension since he was back in the town he had left over a decade before without notice to his two closest friends, Parker and her brother Brandon. I loved seeing him come into his own with the Appies players. Parker definitely made it a little bit easier for him 😄
I loved the Easter eggs hinting at the books to come in this series. I'm ever so excited to read the rest! We don't have fall in my country, but I'm definitely in Sweater Weather mode 🍂
Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Just Don't Fall is available now!

This was my first book by @kikimojo, and I almost finished it in one night. I stayed up until after midnight reading it! I didn’t want to put it down—but I have 3 kids to homeschool. So I did the grown up thing and slept, but trust me-it was under protest!
This first book in the Sweater Weather series was the perfect introduction to Harvest Hollow.
Logan has been labeled hockey’s “bad boy,” and Parker is everyone’s favorite social media content creator. And they have a past together. Not a romantic past-at least not on Logan’s side. But one conversation with Parker’s dad changes things.
There’s fake dating, brother’s (former) best friend, hockey, a gala, sweet gifts (hello, Fancy Chair!), a never been kissed storyline, nicknames (I loved these!), grand gestures, and the best protective hockey team that feels like family.
Logan was so thoughtful and kind, but not at all a pushover. I loved the scene at the gala. It showed that he respected Parker and her decisions without making them for her, but also let the other guy know that he wouldn’t be backing down (or away from Parker). 😍
I enjoyed that we got to see different sides of Parker. The “Boss”—in command and so sure of herself. Then the vulnerable side-the one not so sure that Logan would want her. Parker was a great character!
The chemistry between the two main characters was everything you want in a romance. The banter. The amusement. The tension. The almost kisses. Everything.
I’m so glad this was my first introduction to Emma St. Clair. I will be reading more!
Content warning: Sweet closed door romance. One pretty descriptive almost kiss. Parental neglect.

Fun, sassy, sexy and full of pink post it notes. This was just such a good read. Fully of extroverted hockey players, a psychotic cat and a sizzling romance that bumps up and down all the way to a very cute epilogue.

To start this review out, this is very much a closed door romance. If you are looking for a very spicy hockey romance you are not going to get that experience here. While I normally go for a spicier book, I absolutely loved how wholesome this book was. Throughout the entire read I never felt that I was missing something and I loved every moment while reading this story. The main characters are so lovable and the entire time you are rooting for their love story to come through. I felt the extra characters around the story, the hockey team, did not take away from the story but made you love it even more. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sports romance but is not afraid to read something a little less spicy!
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for access to this ARC!

Love! This was such a sweet rom-com book. I loved everything from the ornery cat to the quietly supportive maintenance guy. The team of hockey players had such great personalities and I wish the Instagram account Parker ran was a real thing. I'm thrilled hockey romances are a "thing" right now and they make for fun reads.

I liked this book. Logan was so dreamy, that man was perfection, I loved him. He was so attentive, caring, funny, loving, everything. The moment he realized his feelings for Parker, he was all in, he never, for a second, thought of giving up, even if she didn't feel the same way as he did. The grand gestures, the small things, the things he said, that man was swoon worthy, I want one for myself. Parker, well I didn't like her very much for one simple reason, she didn't communicate with him. While the man is trying to see if she feels the same way as him, she tries as hard as she can to hide what she feels. And she couldn't stop with the fake talk, like it was getting on my nerves. That man deserved everything in this world after what his family and other people put him through, and here she is, not doing much better. I just wanted her to talk to him instead of jumping to conclusions all the time, I think he deserved that at least. But overall, ot was a lovely book and I loved this couple

Ok so first of all I LOVED this book, it was amazing! It’s a five stars book, I wasn’t expecting my self to like it THAT much. One of my favorite reads of this year THATS for sure!! I am really glad I got to read it. Logan and Parker were everything, and the character’s growth and development was amazing. The plot line was just WOW! I live sport romance and I know for sure I will be recommending this book on my socials! I am writing this review on the 3rd of September and my review will be posted on the 4th of September, the author will be tagged too!

I am such a sucker for a sports romance Just don't fall is a super cute no spice hockey romance. Perfect for people who want all of the romance but none of the smut. I would say I wouldn't have minded a little bit of spice - we only get kissing and fade to black. But the story itself was super cute and I loved it

Just Don't Fall is a closed-door, never-been-kissed, old-friends reuniting hockey romance,
Parker and Logan go way back; all the way back to their childhood. When Logan left abruptly, not even telling Parker or her brother, Brandon, goodbye, Parker was heartbroken. Years later, Parker is sitting in the same minor league hockey team meeting with Logan, although he doesn't know it yet. Logan was recently downgraded from his NHL team, is recovering from an injury and an incident with a fan, and is back in his hometown as part of the Appies organization. But he didn't expect Parker to be part of the Appies organization or his recovery. Logan and Parker quickly reconnect and begin a 'fake' dating/relationship to help Parker with her family. The longer the 'fake' relationship goes, the more they both secretly want to remove the 'fake' title. Will Logan and Parker be able to open up and share how they feel? Will Logan's hockey career be a deal breaker? Will Parker get a goodbye or a heartbreak if Logan leaves again?
This was the sweetest rom-com I've read in a while. Closed-door isn't my usual pick-up, but this one still gives all of the feels without the open-door scenes. The 'tell me how you would kiss me' scene after her father's gala was everything!! Who knew an almost kiss could bring goosebumps? I also love how the team truly felt like a family and how Logan recognized the team was a big part of Parker's life. The way Logan involves his teammates in his grand gestures and in social media-worthy ways fits so well in this story.
I can't wait to pick up the next book in the Sweater Weather series and to check out more by Emma St. Clair!
