I was lucky enough to get an ARC for this book. I have read this author before so I knew I was probably going to enjoy this. Let me tell you I didn’t know how much I was going to enjoy this. Logan, and Pete's chemistry was off the charts. This book has no spice. Which was fine because the banter between these two MC, is just so good.. I can’t even explain it. Also can we talk about the elevator scenes?!?!? I feel like I need to re-read the last one because it was that good! I enjoyed the family dynamics, and that Parker had never been kissed. The way that Emma did it felt real. I gave this all the star’s, and I am so thankful for my eARC. I would honestly read @ grocery’s list if you gave it to me at this point. Her books always leave me feeling good, and wanting more. It comes out today Aug 31st, so go get a copy of this feel good romance.

I left a five star review on my Goodreads Chuck Touchet, and on my book review instagram Chuckreadsbooks

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC! I think this is my favorite romance novel ever. The characters, the banter, the romantic gestures, the slow burn…SO. GOOD. I adored this story. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made my heart melt. I highly recommend this book! And it’s perfect for a cozy fall read!

Fabulous. That's the best word I have to describe this book. Now don't shoot me, but I think this may be my first Emma St. Clair book, and let me say that I am HOOKED!

I started this book yesterday evening, but wasn't able to finish it last night (I know; my dedication is lacking!). You know that delicious anticipation you have when you know you're going back to a fantastic read? I had that the entire time at the gym, while getting groceries, and putting them away. Then when I was FINALLY able to get back to it? Bliss. Pure bliss. I can't even talk about the book, the characters themselves without just being blissfully happy.

If you also would like the delicious anticipation leading to the bliss, get the book. Just get it.

~I was given a complimentary copy of this book. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.~

7 authors, 7 love stories, 1 small town, endless cozy fall vibes, and I adore it all!! Just Don't Fall is the first story from Harvest Hollow and written by one of my favorites for feel-good sweet romance, Emma St. Clair.

Parker is a hometown girl working in social media marketing for the local AHL hockey team, and Logan is her brother's (former) best friend who returns to the small town after getting bumped down from his NHL team. Combine a little fake dating with a lot of chemistry and you've got yourself a delightful small town rom-com!

As with all of Emma St. Clair's books, I adored the characters. Parker radiates with pink, sparkly, girl boss energy, and Logan is a cinnamon roll in a hockey player's body. The humor and heart in the book were absolutely perfect. The fact that Fancy Chair was pretty much a major character was divine. This book was such a delight to read, and I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series! 5 stars for the mushy gushy, hot chocolate, fuzzy blanket, never been kissed girl meets Taylor Swift dancing hockey players vibes!

Thank you to the author via NetGalley for gifting me with an ARC to review! I loved it!

This was the perfect read to usher in the fall season. I wanted to jump into that little town so badly and experience all there is to experience in autumn. I loved the story and the fake dating trope and I think for being a cleaner read, there was still so much heat and sexual tension between the characters that I’m surprised the pages didn’t catch fire. The team dynamic was so sweet and adorable, and Parker’s relationship with them made my heart warm. Overall, I loved this sweet sweater weather read and I need more to all grace my bookshelves. This book is pumpkin spice in book form.

Did I have important things to do today? Yes, yes, I did. Did I drop my productivity when I saw the ARC for Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair waiting for me this morning? Also yes. I regret nothing.

Just Don’t Fall has all the good things and feels. Fake Dating? Yes. Brother’s best friend? Yep. Closed-off athlete? You got it. Throw in all the reminders of the smells and tastes of autumn, small-town charm, and closed-door romance, and you get this beautiful HEA.

I love the pull between Logan and Parker that is almost palpable right from the first page. The humor, slight angst, and witty banter between the two left me turning page after page, barely setting the story down while making lunch. Logan and Parker have past hurts to work through, and fear holds them back from being completely open in their communication, but the care they display for one another in both the small and grand gestures leap off the page. Plus, that chemistry is off-the-charts good. Like fan your face off from an *almost* kiss good. Ultimately, you are left with exactly what you are promised- a happily ever after that feels like a warm hug for your heart. Be sure to grab a copy when it releases on August 31, 2023!

*I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really loved this book and hope the men of the Appies all get their own book but this particular series is focused around the small town and is written by various authors. I enjoyed the premise of the novel mainly because it is a Hockey romance but also loved the brother's best friend aspect as well. The ending of the book was so swoonworthily sweet and apt for all readers.

OMG, I simply love Just Don't Fall, by Emma St. Clair. I'm not going to post a lengthily review, because there are already a bunch of those already posted. Just know that you are going to find a new book boyfriend in Logan and totally relate to our heroine, Parker. Their love story is a totally wonderful slow burn and you are going to fall in love along with Parker. I liked this book so much I already went to Amazon to see when I can expect the rest of the books in the series to release and I'm happy to report they will release over the next couple of months. And I was THRILLED to see that Felix will be the final book in the series, YAY. Thank you NetGalley and Emma St. Clair for an advanced copy. Strong 5 stars!

♥ ARC NetGalley REVIEW ♥

A FIVE-STAR ROMCOM Y'ALL!!!

This is some excellent stuff right here, also pretty clean stuff which is something that sometimes we need you know?

"Just Don't Fall" is a sweet af romantic comedy + sports romance, with a grumpy hero and a sunshine heroine who's never been kissed... also he's her brother's childhood best friend and long-time crush. ADD IT TO THE MIX I'M SO HERE FOR THIS.

This book was such a fun read, with a HUGE tension between them but with no smut. And you'll be shocked when I say that It was the right call to make because it makes this story a hundred times better.

What's about? Parker's the social media manager for her hockey town team, and has to face her childhood crush and former NHL superstar, Logan, when he becomes the rookie for the team. And yeah... feelings are here to stay, from both sides.

Fun, light, romantic, and a binge-read for sure. I loved it!! ♥

This book was fantastic! Logan and Parker are so cute. I loved everything about their relationship. There was not a single red flag from either of them. The pining was perfection! The fake dating was done so well! I’ve never read a book with a “never been kissed” trope, but the author crushed it! She never disappoints!

Being a huge fan of her Sheet Cake, Texas series, it came as no surprise that I absolutely loved Emma St. Clair’s latest book: Just Don’t Fall. Emma has a way of crafting irresistible characters and heart warming romances. And Parker and Logan are indeed irresistible characters. Logan Barnes has been sent down to minors and all he wants is to get back to the NHL. Parker handles the social media for said minor league team. Parker and Logan have history. She’s had a crush on him forever. He was best friends with her older brother until he ghosted them both when he went pro. When Logan is transferred to her team she realizes her old feelings are still alive and well. As for Logan, he’s having feelings of his own…and those feelings only grow in intensity when Parker accidentally makes him her fake boyfriend. Just Don’t Fall is the first in the Sweater Weather series, a seven book, multi-author series of loosely linked rom-coms. And I’d say the series is definitely off to a strong start. I’d like to thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an eARC of Just Don’t Fall.

This book deserves all the stars! I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. I ended up reading it in one day. This story has the cutest romance that is packed with humor. I was laughing out loud at certain parts. Just Don't Fall has brother's best friend, small town, fake dating, Hockey, childhood crush, and all of the fall vibes. Do I need to say anything more?

This story follows Parker who is the team's social content creator, and Logan who is Parker's brother's former best friend. Parker ends up getting demoted from the NHL and placed into the AHL team that Parker works for. Logan had left their small town when he was placed into the NHL without saying goodbye to Parker or her brother (his best friend) even though they were like family. Now that he has returned, he can't believe Parker is the teams media manager. She couldn't possibly still have a crush on him. However, a situation occurs where she needs him to be her fake boyfriend. While their relationship is fake, their chemistry is intense right off the bat. I absolutely loved the banter between them. The side characters in this story added to the charm and humor. I could read so much more about them and still love it. I loved everything about this book, and the ending made my heart so happy.

This book is book 1 of the Sweater Weather series, and I am so excited for the rest of them!

Sweet romance novel by Ms. St. Clair. The novel is perfect for fans of sports romance and old friends to lovers. Quick and easy read. I am longer forward to see more novels in the series.

Logan was thrilled to leave what passed for his family to join the NHL, and an overheard conversation left him equally eager to leave his best friend Brendan and Brendan's younger sister Parker. But now he's been forced back, at least temporarily - and worse, he's going to have to work with Parker, who's grown up to be more attractive than ever. He has his sights set on getting back into the NHL, and that means he can't afford to fall for Parker - however enticing that might seem. But the more he sees of her, the harder it is to keep his distance, until he starts to wonder whether maybe falling might be the best idea after all...

A delightful clean romantic comedy, beautifully written and providing all the romance without any of the smut. I loved being able to relax and enjoy the story rather than feeling uneasy that objectionable content might be coming. Better still, Parker and Logan grabbed my interest from the start and I watched eagerly as they gradually found their way to each other - and reconciled with his past. And it's more than just fluff. While still a light read with plenty of humour (I loved Fancy Chair), there's depth to it. I'm not much of a one for specific sports romance, but this definitely hit the spot and made me want to read the rest of the series. All in all, a good read, clean, really well written, with characters I really cared about, great humour and an interesting setting. Recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Thank you so much to Netgalley for sending me an arc of Just Don't Fall by Emma St. Clair!

I loved everything about it, especially the fact that there was no third act breakup! This was such a wholesome small town ice hockey romance with great characters and an adorable cat.

This was a very quick one day read for me, i honestly couldn't put it down once i started it and desperately want to read all of emma's other books, her story was amazing. The guys on the team were so cute, the way they always looked out for Parker and grew to love Logan very quickly was perfect, as well as Mia being the bestest friend anyone could ask for knowing what's best for Parker and pushing her in that direction no matter what.

There were so many cute moments in this book and i look forward to reading this again, i just can't get enough of the characters.

Happy release day!

First of all, let me start this with thanking NetGalley and obviously Emma St. Clair for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC.

Just Don't Fall was everything I wanted for a hockey romance and more. This one might easily be my favorite of the genre so far.

Logan and Parker will forever live rent free in my head and I just know this book is my new comfort read! We have a romcom with amazing characters. Some of them who struggle with real and relatable issues, some amazing grinworthy moments and the best found family one could ever wish for. Just add brother's best friend to the mix and voila, recipe for greatness. The Appies are a bunch of straight up lovable guys who will always protect the Boss even if it means threatening their new teammate not to hurt her ... Or else.

This heartwarming, grin enticing, squeal inducing read has easily took up a spot in my favorite reads of the year! I will defenitly look out for more from this author.

This is a wonderful light sports romance, Logan is the perfect patient and attentive love interest and is ideal for Parker.
The writing is exceptional, enough descriptions and detail so you can easily picture the scenes without being bogged down with too much information.
I really liked the pace of their relationship development, it was refreshing to not have them jump into bed after 2mins of meeting, the tension and attraction built throughout the story - and with Parker's history - gave her plenty of time to adjust into a relationship.
I loved the team comradery, how they had Parker's back and welcomed Logan into the fold.
Definitely one to read if you're into clean sports romances with brothers ex-best friend and childhood friend themes.

A very cute and easy breezy little romance for the days when you just want a little respite from life for a moment. There was nothing wild or heart wrenching here, just a story about a hockey player who found light in a girl he grew up with after leaving his hometown to play in the NHL. Parker runs social media for a small hockey team and has helped boost their viewership significantly. She is content with her life until in walks Logan Barnes, childhood crush, and former hockey star who was kicked off his team for poor conduct. Of course he gets signed to the same team Parker works for. How will the two reconnect after so many years apart? Parker is harboring a major crush still, and Logan can’t believe this woman is the same kid he grew up with. This book was very simple; a lighthearted, feel good romance. While there was not a lot of depth in the characters, nor much storyline development, I still think it was adorable and accessible to all kinds of readers. It was advertised as no smut which I believe has a bigger audience than some might think. It’s a pretty short book as well, which makes it a great book for when you don’t want to think too much, and just want to read a cute story. Overall I would give it a 3.5. I wish there was more character development rather than just a snapshot of their lives. I never felt totally immersed in the story to where I couldn’t put it down in anticipation for what was next, however I don’t think that was the intent. Very cute. Very easy to read. I enjoyed it!

Love, love, loved! This author is one of the best in the closed door rom-com genre. She infuses so much humour into her books. I love it…and a hockey romance from her? A match made in heaven! This book was a joy to read from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. Logan gets sent down from the NHL to the AHL team in his hometown, the Appies. Parker, the younger sister of his former best friend works as the social media manager for the team. Unbeknownst to Logan, Parker had a huge crush on him, and maybe still does. Okay, not maybe. Definitely. Definitely still does. “I am the hottest of hot messes. Ghost pepper level hot. Landfill level mess.” And Parker has never been kissed, which adds a lot of weight to several moments. As they spend more time together feelings grow on both sides. They get tangled up in a fake dating arrangement and things, and especially feelings, get complicated. As they do.

This story was so much fun. Such great and entertaining interactions between all the characters, but especially the teammates. The secondary characters added so much to the story. And great banter all-around. Parker and Logan were fantastic main characters. I really enjoyed them and all their funny, sweet, and swoony interactions. Who knew that office chairs (I will never forget Fancy Chair), chopsticks, skating, and verbally describing kissing could be so swoony? Given the extra importance to a kiss for Parker, the burn is slow and the wait is long, but it is totally worth it. That epilogue. THAT EPILOGUE. Seriously, one of my favourites ever.

This book is the first in a multi-author series (Sweater Weather) set in the same town. As I understand it, the books will only be loosely related, but I’m super excited to have been introduced to a few characters from the other books, and especially that Felix, one of the other Appies, gets a book. I’d love to see the author write some stories for other players from the team and even Brandon, Parker’s brother. There are some lightly touched on themes of anxiety, parental neglect, and abandonment. This is a closed door story with very mild innuendo and no harsh language.
P.S. I promise to do my part to make fetch happen.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for a complimentary copy of the book. This review was written and shared voluntarily, and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
