I want to start this by saying I am OBSESSED with Baggage Claim and I did like Per My Last Email. Unfortunately, I got about 30% through this book and I had to put it away for another time.

I found that the first 30% of the book was extremely corny and a bit too much. I love a cheesy romance, however this one took it a bit too far and I felt as thought the corniness overpowered the romance and the character development too much so I was unable to enjoy the main aspects of the book.

One day I will pick this book up again and I am really sad I didn't love it as much as the other 2 Juliana Smith books.

This was seriously the cutest book! I loved the first book in the Wells Family series, so I knew I would probably love this one too! This story follows Calla and Nathan. You don’t need to read the first in the series to read this one, but it’s much better if you do!

I loved the characters in this book and their chemistry. Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down! I ended up finishing it in two sittings, I had to know what was going to happen. If you’re a fan of closed door romance, brothers best friend, and forced proximity, you will love this one! I highly recommend checking it out!

Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5
Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Juliana Smith

This book was ADORABLE. It had me kicking my feet and smiling at my e-reader multiple times! I loved the two main characters and their chemistry. I loved the added dialogue over emails, I thought it was so sweet and special and it was also very unique!

This book is a standalone, although it is the second book in the “Wells family” series! I’d recommend reading the first one, Per My Last Email, before this one, as I found myself getting confused over some of the family members! I didn’t find out until after I was done reading Signed, Sealed, Delivered that there was a book that came before it!

The only reason this sweet and funny romance novel wasn’t a 5 star for me was because it was a closed door romance, and I personally prefer open door, but that is totally just preference! I’d recommend this to anyone who loves a passion and chemistry filled romance book!

If I were to dedicate a Taylor Swift lyric to this book it would be, “When you hold me, it holds me together and you kiss me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever” AHH that KISS! Okay, we will bump it to a 4.75 star because of ✨that✨ kiss.

I’m looking forward to reading superstar Juliana Smith’s other books ASAP!

I love Juliana Smith. Her writing style is so fun and easy to read. I adored the first Wells Family book and this one was no exception. It’s funny, sweet, laugh out loud moments and some of my favorite tropes. I LOVED the email exchanges and seeing their relationship develop both IRL and over emails. Calla is so relatable, hitting curbs, late night fast food runs and more throw blankets than any one person should need she sounds just like me. Nathan is incredibly kind and I just love him 😍.

“To the people pleasers. It’s okay to say no sometimes”

This was a cute, fun romance. Calla moves to a marketing position at her brother Luke’s bar but doesn’t want to live with him, and his fiancé. They suggest that she lives with his best friend Nathan which she is unsure of as Nathan is usually awkward around her. They quickly fall into an easy routine finding that they have many things in common. Nathan is a sweetheart who is taken advantage of at work because he can’t say no. Calla helps him stand up for himself while he supports her in her applications for marketing positions, encouraging her when she is nervous at an almost dream job interview

Pick this up if you are a fan of:
- Anonymous penpals
- Forced close proximity
- Friends to lovers
- Sweet romance
I loved that Nathan isn’t the typical self-assured male MC and Calla is a sweetheart. A cute romance perfect for an easy, uncomplicated read

Really very sweet read.

Calla has just graduated and needs a place to stay. She doesn't want to stay with her parents (awkward times). Her brother just moved and mentions his good friend Nathan might have some room.

Nathan. Every time Calla has met him, he has said or done something really weird. And why is he that he can interact with everyone else normally but with Calla... it's mistakes?

Nathan is a sweetheart. He's got a hard time at work, but he's also a musician who gives lessons to kids! (So sweet)

Intertwined into this novel is Calla and Nathan's pen pal emails for years. Years!

I hope to read more about the Wells. Each one is totally different.

I actually DNF’d this book because I felt like, at the time, I just wasn’t connecting with the characters or the plot in the way I would’ve liked. I’m also a mood reader and it could’ve simply been my mood at the time.

What I have read so far was moving at a very nice pace for a romance which I enjoy. I do hope to pick it back up again and finish it, but I don’t see that happening in the near future.

I still thank Netgalley, publisher, author, and anyone else involved in deciding who gets an e-ARC because it was a wonderful opportunity, I just don’t think it’s for me ❤️

*3.75!!

Well this was super cute and super fun!
I’ve never read a Juliana Smith book before. I don’t know why I started with book 2 in the series. I mean, they are technically interconnected standalones, but I do usually like to read in order! So excited to read Per My Last Email which is Layla and Luke’s story!

I love Calla and Nathan. They were so cute and clearly meant to be. The emails they’d been sending each other for TEN YEARS and they had no idea! So adorable. I thought this was such a cute and unique idea, or at least I’ve personally not seen it done before.
I do wish there was maybe a little more to them? I didn’t feel overly connected to the characters the way I’d usually like. Almost like I didn’t know them enough.
I loved Layla and Luke’s presence in this story and I’m excited to read theirs next!
Is book 3 about the brother!?

Random hits:
This was written well, in my opinion.
Nathan calling Calla ‘baby’ and ‘sweet girl’ made me heart WEEP! JULIANA!
The scene at the end with Bessie had me audibly gasp and I did not see that coming.
I found it strange that these two were oddly comfortable around each other having only met once and they moved in together as roommates. Like, Calla was raising his underwear drawer at one point, AND when his old college T shirt (even if it was super cute!)
I’d have loved to have seen them get married in the epilogue!

Generally very cute, I had fun. I think I just wished for a bit more depth.

I could not put this down, much like every other book Juliana Smith has written. Calla and Nathan’s chemistry is just amazing. Nathan is the most perfect cinnamon roll golden retriever mmc that you’ve ever met. I was swooning the whole time.

I am a sucker when books contain texts or emails between characters, so I ate that ish up in this book. I LOVED per my last email, so my hopes going into this were high(I loved Nathan). I was not disappointed. The banter, the romance, the chemistry, the side characters. READ THIS BOOK!!

Cute, sweet, quick read with ALL THE TROPES! You want brother's best-friend? We got you. You want forced proximity? We got you. You want fake relationship? We got you (a little). You want relationship coach? We got you (a little) You want secret identity pen pals? We got you. The only thing it doesn't have is someone teaching the FMC to drive properly. Shout out to the IPB reference.

Note: No on page sex (not even implied). No 3rd act breakup.

I didn’t know that this was the 2nd story in a book series when I first started reading it, but that didn’t matter as the book reads well as a stand-alone.
The two characters Calla and Nathan, are nice enough and the book moves at a nice pace. There are no shocks and twists, but makes for a pleasant read.

Friends to lovers with brothers best friend and a roommate situation? Count me in.
This was a really cute rom-com. I loved Nathan and Calla and how well suited they were for each other. They were relatable, especially with Nathan’s people pleasing personality. Calla was a sweetheart. Overall the found family aspect was so wholesome and endearing. I found the pen pals part to be a little cliche but I really enjoyed the book overall. A really cute, light and heartwarming book that everyone needs to pick up this fall😍

Nathan and Calla was so cute and refreshing. This roomate, friends to lovers, brothers bestfriend tropes are to live for.
Friends to lovers is a top favorite trope because it shows how 2 people can come together with love. What great leaps they can do for each other and no matter what they want each other in their lives and i feel Calla and Nathan did just that.
Nathan golden retriever boy!!!!!! He is a typical guitar playing cutie! This can definitely be read in a standalone read.

I loved this damn book! The chemistry between Calla and Nathan is through the roof and I absolutely loved the way this closed door romance developed. I can't wait to read more of Juliana's writing!

Thank you to Juliana Smith and NetGalley for the ARC!
This book was cute, perfectly paced, and with a great amount of tension and fun! I hate third act breakups and I love HEAs so this was the perfect quick read for me. As someone who went to school in Philly, I loved all of the local references and could really picture myself in this story. I can’t wait for the next one!

Friends to lovers becoming one of my favorite tropes because of this.
This book proves that being yourself allows you to create the most special connections with people.
After moving into an apartament and having a crush on her roommate, Calla discovers he is the same person as her secret pen pal she has since childhood.
Did I mention it’s a brother’s best friend romance?

A good book but I didn't love it. It lacked plot, tension och character depth for me.
It was a very easy and simple read with some great tropes as brother's best friends, forced proximity and pen pals. Even though it wasn't the book for me, I think a lot of you will love it. Especially if you want a low stakes rom com.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Such loveable characters and a wholesome read. It’s very easy to follow and read and I cannot wait for more Nathan and Calla.

This was such a cute and wholesome rom com!! I loved the Nathan and Calla relationship and how well they matched with each other! Nathan was such a sweetheart and I could heavily relate to his struggle with people pleasing. I will say the pen pals portion of this was a bit cheesy, so if you’re sensitive to that then this may not be your absolute favorite. I loved the found family aspect of this and I’m so excited to see what else Juliana Smith puts out based on the little snippets we got of some of the other characters!! Overall, I had a fun time with this and if you’re in the mood for a sweet, light hearted, romcom then I would definitely recommend!!

Thank you NetGalley & Julianna Smith for sending me an ARC!!
