This book was so adorable. The pen pal connection was a first for me and I loved it. So many close calls of it coming out. The friendship Calla and Nathan form is one to be rivalled. I also loved the continuation of Luke and Layla’s story.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Ahhh I am obsessed with this book and this series!

The first book in the Wells Family series followed Luke and Layla, and in this second book, we follow Luke's sister Calla, and our favourite co-worker, Nathan.

Calla and Nathan are literally the couple of my dreams. They have such cute conversations, he is obsessed in an adorable way, and they have the bets chemistry ever.

Similar to the first book, Juliana uses a secondary form of communication which adds an intriguing layer to the story. At the start of the book, we meet two young kids, Lily and Shiny, penpals that become fast (anonymous) friends. These emails are woven throughout the story and add to the plot in the book.

This book has some of my favourite things:
Roommates / forced proximity
Brother's best friend
Best friend's sister
Slow burn
Penpals

It's not at all spicy, but it's fricken cute and I loved it. I finished it quickly, and I'm already very keen for whatever Juliana Smith writes next!

This book was utterly charming! I loved the pen pal concept! I also loved the slight twist I didn’t see coming! It was closed door romance with plenty of heat. The chemistry of the characters was tangible. The characters were well established and so endearing. This book was like a warm hug!

Summary: Nathan Huxley is living life with two rules: Always say yes, and never go near his best friend's sister. Trouble brews when his best friend asks him to rent a room to said sister, Calla. Sparks fly as they bond over small moments and shared interests, leading to a forbidden romance. Seeking advice from their online penpals, they discover the world is surprisingly small.

Okay, another super cute and sweet book by Juliana Smith!! I was instantly drawn into this book. I love that we got to revisit our favorite characters from Per My Last Email. Nathan’s such an adorable goober. I can’t even stand it. And Calla is so relatable with her comfy clothes and Philly cheesesteak obsession. I love the penpal emails at the beginning of the chapters. They kept me hooked because I wanted to get to the next chapter so I could read them! This was a very well done slow burn, serendipitous romance because we get so much of Calla and Nathan doing things together without actually dating. It was super sweet and silly and perfect and had me squealing! I recommend it to literally anyone.

Special thanks to NetGalley for the ebook in exchange for my honest review!

Okay, so Nathan is the best. He’s funny (like I actually LOL’d), he’s kind, and he’s got a squishy spot for kids. Calla is fierce and loves wholeheartedly. I didn’t feel like I was reading a novel because all of their interactions felt like real people to me. The plot moved naturally and the love story development was so smooth. Nathan and Calla have been exchanging anonymous emails for ten years and it’s such a fun little additive into their minds.

I read this book right after the first Wells Family book and there were SO many Easter eggs planted in the first book that just made me love this one even more. It was so fun to see the overarching series story.

I read signed, sealed, and delivered in one sitting after receiving an ARC of it. I adore it so much. Oh my God, I'm at a loss for words to express how wonderful Nathan and Calla's relationship was. Luke and Layla’s cameos were everything i love that couple so much. I've read three books by Juliana, and this is without a doubt my favorite. If you enjoy the Brothers-Bestfriend trope, head to the nearest bookstore as soon as it's available. I need to get a tattoo of Nathan and Calla right now ON MY FORHEAD because I love them so much. They are genuinely engraved on my heart. This book is the second in a series, however you can read it alone or after Per My Last Email.

This book was precious—the epitome of a feel good romance! My first time reading work by Juliana Smith, and I will definitely be adding more of her books to my TBR.

If you enjoy or are in the mood for a closed door romance, I highly recommend! Calla and Nathan are adorable together—their banter was possibly my favorite part of this book. I loved the anonymous penpal aspect, as well!

Synopsis:
As a broke college graduate, Calla is ready to enter the workforce. Unfortunately, that is proving harder than she anticipated. After accepting a job working for her brother, Luke, Calla just needs to secure temporary housing. Luke offers up his best friend, Nathan’s, second bedroom.

Nathan, being the people pleaser he is, can’t turn down his best friend or his best friend’s sister. The only thing is—Calla has always short circuited him. He gets tongued tied and nervous around her. He’s definitely not been crushing on his best friend’s sister since the moment he met her.

How bad can two months living together really be? Read to find out!

“how do you do that?”
“what?”
“make everyone fall in love with you”

this was such a sweet book!!! i loved calla and nathan with my whole heart and was so excited to follow their journey. brothers best friend, forced proximity, roommates, penpals to lovers? what more could you want. this was so exciting and i read 80% in one sitting before work, itching to finish it when i was home. nathan was such a sweetheart and to have someone think of me the same way nathan thought of calla? it would be a dream.

i loved the luke and layla cameos and can’t wait to see more of the wells family in the third book!! this was fun of such witty banter and strong emotions that i felt so vividly!

everything worked out perfectly, there was no third act breakup, no miscommunication (which i desperately hate), and just mutual pining for one another which i adore. i highly recommend this book, there is another before following luke and layla that was also such a fun read so definitely read that one before this one to understand the story a lot more!

thank you to the publisher and to NetGallery for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review!

4.5 stars ⭐️. This book was so cute! I liked it even more than the first one. Nathan was an amazing book boyfriend and I loved how the relationship between him and Calla developed. Forced proximity is always a hit for me as a trope, so I loved the roommate aspect. Calla is so sweet and I loved the female friendships too! I also felt like the characters were so real. Endlessly searching for a job after college or being stuck in a job you hate - sooo relatable which was really nice to see. I’m also a sucker for the “everyone’s eyes are on him, but he only has eyes for her” microtrope! And none of that even mentions the secret pen pals! I thought that was so cute and I just loved their online friendship. It was so sweet to see them grow up through the emails and how deep their (platonic) relationship was.

Definitely read this if you like roommates to friends to lovers, forced proximity, hidden identity, brother’s best friend, or sunshine x sunshine.

There were tons of scenes with Luke and Layla, and it was great to see their relationship progress through the book as they prepared for their wedding. I’m excited for the next book as well (Liam and Marigold for sure!) and the rest of the stories about the other siblings. I’ll always be a lover of the interconnected stand-alones. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and would definitely recommend! Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the ARC!

I was lucky enough to get approved for an early copy of this book for an honest review. Thank you to Net Galley, Victory Editing, and Juliana Smith!

I read Baggage Claim at the end of last year and when I saw this on NetGalley I knew I had to read it, and then I realised it was the second book in a series so I detoured to (and devoured) book one first!

When Calla finishes college without a plan for her future, she heads back to her home town to visit her family while she hunts for a full time job. Enter Nathan, the best friend of Luke and Layla (from the first book), who has a spare room available.

I really loved their relationship development, the romance was on the slower burn side but it really worked for the story. Calla’s family is great and I loved seeing more of Luke and Layla. I can’t wait to read more of Juliana’s books in the future!

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4/5 stars

Signed, Sealed, Delivered is the adorable second book in the Wells Family series. It follows Nathan and Calla as their forced proximity and You’ve Got Mail vibes lead to all the swoons and banter.

I just adore this cast of characters and want all the books about them. Luke and Layla from the previous book are back and being the cutest. Nathan and Calla were hilarious together and I enjoyed reading their letters to each other through the years. I already know the next book is going to become my entire personality.

ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book! The characters were all so enjoyable! I loved that the FMC and MMC had been pen palling for 10 years and had no idea! I loved that Calla was a romance reader and all the comments about books and tropes. I can not wait to read more! The banter was🤌🏻🤌🏻

Queen Juliana Smith has done it again!!! An absolute banger of a book! She could've given us a book with forced proximity-roommates, brother's best friend, OR childhood penpals to lovers BUT NO! She gave us ALL THREE in one book! I mean all of those wonderful tropes wrapped together PLUS the quirky, and wildly relatable characters means this book is full of butterfly inducing, swooning, adorable moments!
The chemistry between Calla and Nathan is SO adorable because even though you haven't seen the proof of it yet, they've been talking to each other FOR YEARS and didn't know it! You get to see how their friendship evolves through emails while in real life, they are struggling to not run into a relationship because of 1)Luke (Calla's brother and Nathan's best friend) and 2) Nathan doesn't want to get rejected by Calla and ruin their friend/roommate dynamic!
Also, as someone who LOVED Per My Last Email, getting to see Luke and Layla (the MMC and FMC of Per My Last Email) BACK and better than ever made my heart so happy!
I cannot wait for the next books in the Wells Family series!💞👀

4.5 ⭐
As a big fan of the first book in this series, I couldn't wait to go back and find out more!
We got a whole lot more of Luke and Layla which I loved and a whole new relationship that was destined from the beginning.
I loved seeing the relationship between Calla and Nathan grow, he was so sweet at the beginning because of how shy he was around her. Two perfect characters that are perfect for each other 🫶🏻
I'm hoping we get a second chance lovers next between Marigold and Liam 🤞🏻👀

This is a book full of the typical tropes. Friends to lovers, forbidden love, anonymous penpals…

Calla is looking for a job so returns to live close to her brother. She is temporarily working for her brother and spending all her time with him would be too much, so lives with her brother’s best friend Nathan instead. Being roommates, they get to know each other well and their connection grows. It’s a beautiful story of friends to lovers and the penpal emails really add to the story.

Thank you for the ARC!

I think I enjoyed this book more than the first in the series. Nathan and Calla were such fun characters and I loved both the present day interactions and the correspondence. And there was just enough drama to complement the romance. It was a delight to read this book and I couldn’t put it down! Definitely recommend it to any romance lover!

💌 ARC REVIEW 💌

I was given a free ARC in exchange for an honest review!
.
"And that's when it dawned on me. 'Here I was thinking we were living the brothers best friend tope. Turns out we were fated mates,Nathan.'"
.
The story revolves around Nathan Huxley who has two rules i) Say yes to as many things as possible and ii) Don't ever even think about going near his best friend's sister. But unfortunately when Nathan meets his best friend Luke's sister Calla Wells her second rule goes in vain.
Calla has just graduated and was in deep financial crisis and was in desperate search for a job. Then her brother Luke offered her a job at his own bar and suggested sharing a room with his best friend Nathan for a few months.
.
Nathan's world was completely changed when Calla moved in and made his house a real home. Soon afterwards they started to enjoy each other's company as they realised they have a lot, yes a lot lot in common.
.
It would be unfair if I don't say this was one of my best September reads till now. I enjoyed every minute I spent with this book. I was so engrossed in the story that it took me a lot less days (2days) than I thought I would take to complete it. I absolutely loved Calla. I liked her vibes. Reading her character made me cheerful , happy and bold at the same time. On the other hand we got Nathan, oh my god a perfect example of a gentleman. At some point I felt myself reading in a bullet train speed just to find when these two pen pals would meet each other as Shiny and Lily and when that happened I was screaming, smiling and sobbing (all at once). I absolutely loved this book by the author.
.
The reason I gave a 4⭐ is I was searching for a hot romance scene in the book. Although the book included smooth and cute romanticism but I felt it would have acted like a booster for us all.
.
Also if you're a big Taylor Swift fan then this book is for you. You have to read it!🫀
.

All thanks to @author.juliana.smith , @netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for providing me the opportunity to read this sweet rom com book which was also my first ARC🫶🏻

Just as Per My Last Email, this was ridiculously sweet and wholesome. Nathan and Calla are all about each other even as friends, and the tension is just as strong as the genuine affection they have. They are both the human equivalents of the heart eyes emojis, just staring at each other completely oblivious to the fact that everyone within 300 miles of them can tell they’re both head over heels.

I love a friends-to-lovers trope, and this was no exception. I always think it’s so fun when writers include their love of books in their characters, and poke a little fun at the tropes they’re playing into. They’re successful because we love them!

Watching the two of them get closer and closer to realizing the truth, only for their plans to be foiled again and again, was truly hilarious in the cutest way. I can’t wait to see what comes next (Liam and Marigold? 👀)
