An absolute gem. A very sweet story about two otters who do everything together. Suddenly there’s only one left. This book would help children coping with grief. The illustrations are gorgeous and the writing easy. Definitely a book I want my library to get.

The illustrations in Always Together are stunning. Our family recently lost our dog, I can imagine this would be such a comforting and validating read for a little one who is experiencing that kind of loss and grief especially for the first time.

Otters are my favorite animal, so when I saw them on the cover I knew I had to pick this up. The illustrations are adorable (and I’m not just staying that because it’s otters, that fact only adds to the preexisting cuteness). Now it may have been partially the pregnancy hormones but I shed a few tears with this book. But it’s such a great introductory to a child for coping with death which is such a hard and heavy topic for everyone.

Always Together is the story of two otters who spend many of their lives creating memories together until one disappears and the other is left alone. During a grief period, the lone otter shares the importance of happiness and remembering the good times. This book would be A great addition to any child's library to help deal with losses in the child's life.
I loved the simplicity of the prose in this book it is very clear the message of this story while the illustrations are absolutely beautiful.

What a precious book! The watercolor images are gorgeous & the story. It is sad but it's also good for children experiencing loss. Whether from death, or separated from family in foster care. It let's kids know that no matter what they always have their memories of their loved ones!

A beautifully illustrated book, for those who are trying to teach their little ones about death. Death is a hard subject to deal with, but this book makes it easier, I feel, by reminding us to remember the importance of all the good times you had, even though you don’t feel good now.
