I really like this book it was a great story of a widely loved man who we lost too soon. I received a review copy from NetGalley but the views and opinions expressed herein are my own.

I love Steve Irwin and think these books do an amazing job of bringing iconic figures to life with books. This is a wonderful way of having children learn about Steve Irwin and would be a great addition to a library collection.

Thank you so much for the reader copy NetGalley.
How could I not love this book. I'm Australian and it's an unspoken rule that Steve is our idol (even in death)
The world didn't deserve him but we are so lucky to have had him.
Love Steve, love this book, love this series.

This is another brilliant addition to this series – even as an adult I look out for the next book in the series being released. I love the images in this series and this is a delightful introduction to Steve Irwin - I used to watch him on the TV as a child and I still remember how shocked I was to hear that he had passed away leaving his wife and two young children - who thankfully have followed his legacy.
The books in this series are excellent introductions to some of the well-known, and less well-known, characters that have had a great impact in our lives through a variety of subjects such as literature, animal and human rights and science. Steve was inspirational and brought the natural world to many younger children with his different way of showcasing wildlife and his shows on TV.
5 stars from me for this one – a great read and one I will be highly recommending!!

I’m a huge fan of the Little People, Big Dreams series, and this book is no exception. It delves into the fascinating life of Steve Irwin, the beloved animal lover and wildlife conservationist. Did you know that at the age of 9, Steve captured his first crocodile to relocate it to a safer habitat? And his parents ran a wildlife refuge—talk about a family committed to animals!
Although Steve’s passing was a heartbreaking moment, his legacy endures through his TV shows, charitable efforts, and the ongoing wildlife conservation work carried on by his family. Children will be inspired by Steve and his legacy.
Thank you @netgalley and @quartokids @flcbooks for an eARC of this book, which I have read and reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
Steve Irwin is one of the newest editions to the Little People Big Dreams series and is well deserving of his spot in the series.
In this edition we learn about young Steve Irwin who grew up in a family who loved animals. When his family started a wildlife refuge and he rescued a crocodile his love and passion for saving these animals grew. When he was grown up he had become Australias best crocodile catcher and a documentary was made called 'The Crocodile Hunter' which was a hit all around the world.
I'm happy with how the book ended that it referenced his death as a tragic death and didn't go into how he died making it suitable for children and up to parents/carers whether to explain what happened to him (if they know).
The illustrations are fantastic at capturing in a fun way Steve's personality and passion for animals and really bring the book to life.

This was a fun informative read for kids about Steve Irwin. My kids and I enjoyed the pictures and prose throughout the book.

My 8 year old son loved this book. A brilliant insight into the life and work of Steve Irwin. This series is a wonderful way of teaching children about those inspirational people, especially those who are no longer with us.

Another great book in this series! This one highlights Steve Irwin a legend to many, known for his work being a champion animal rescuer. The drawings here are so cute as always and really complement the story especially with the animals and nature. This is a great introduction for kids to animal conservation!
One of the better ones they’ve done recently, definitely someone who deserves recognition for his work.

Steve Irwin walks through the life of the famous animal lover. Just like the rest of the series, the biography follows their life in an easy wife. The colorful illustrations attract to young readers. The end includes further information for older children or interested adults.

This picture book biography is written about Steve Irwin, the beloved conservationist. The story begins with his childhood and how he grew up saving animals with his parents. The book follows Irwin as he grows up and creates a career and fame for himself protecting and rescuing crocodiles. The story ends with a timeline and some pictures/biographical information about him.
Each page has beautiful, colour-filled pages with 3-4 lines of text. There is a lot of great biographical information, but it also follows a story that will hook young readers. I believe this book would be best fit for children in the 7-11 age range. As a grade 3 teacher I could definitely see this book in my classroom library in the future!

I absolutely loved! This book.
It was by far one of the best that I have seen from one of the Little People Big dreams books. But I could also be bias because Steve was a childhood hero of mine too.
I can remember watching this mna on TV as a child. And thinking he was the coolest person. And I really do think my love for wildlife spawned feom people like him and Jack Hannah.
I read this one with one of my younger nephews. As I wanted a kids point of view. And he is not nearly old enough to actually know who Steve was.
But my nephew loved the pictures, and by the time we finished. We were having to youtube old clips feom back in the day.
It was such a fun way to share this wonderful man's legacy with the younger generation. And in terms and words that makes sense to them and is easy to comprehend
I loved everything about this one

I was a big Steve Irwin fan during his early tv years so I was excited to see this addition to the Little People Big Dreams series. While his name is perhaps less familiar to modern children, his legacy is strong and the messaging is effective.

Steve Irwin was a unique individual and this children’s book does a great job of capturing his exuberance for wildlife in a short and colorful format. Would highly recommend it for all kids.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the e-arc I received. I also checked out the physical book from my library.

What a fun book to celebrate one of Australia's most committed to conservation and protecting Australia's wildlife, even after his death. It's a legacy to Steve's life and how he has done so much for Crocs and other species of animals across Australia and the world.
The illustrations are fun, and the crocodiles are cute and it is a good way to introduce children to understanding conservation and the legacy of Steve Irwin.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this was such a cute biography of Steve Irwin. He was so important towards conservation and wildlife animals. I like learning little bit of who he was and his impact.

I enjoyed reading this book. Steve Irwin was a wonderful person and this book helps the younger generation learn about all that he has done. I was happy to read it to my children and teach them about this wonderful man. I love that his family still continues his legacy.

The famous Steve Irwin was born in an animal loving family, and since youth learned to live with them. He continued his passion for crocodiles and filmed TV shows to teach people to care for animals. He taught that animals need to be protected, not hunted. And even though he passed on already, his spirit lives in his family and fans that continue his works.

A fun biography style story for young children. Great for the classroom when introducing nonfiction. Enjoyable for any animal lover.

‘Steve Irwin’ by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Sonny Ross is a kid-sized biography in the Little People Big Dreams series.
Steve Irwin’s love of wildlife started as a child in Australia at his parents’ wildlife refuge. Steve learned to care for the sick and injured animals and grew up wanting to protect crocodiles. He shared his love of animals on his own tv show and became a celebrated conservationist.
This is a great story for young readers and a poignant one for older readers. The illustrations are colorful and lively.
