An Inconvenient Letter by Julie Wright.
I could not put this one down! Julie wrote two lovable characters falling for each other so beautifully! The parallels of the same thing happening with other characters but the same thing meaning something else with the mains person of interested was so poetic. This was a light read full of happy moments. I highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this book, the chemistry between them and the story was really interesting.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for my book

Julie Wright has delivered a delightful novel that will linger in readers’ hearts long after they’ve turned the last page.
Loved, loved, loved the premise for this one, though this wasn't my favorite from Julie Wright.
Lost love letters, found by the wrong man. A bargain that turns into more. Love found in unexpected places.
There are some darling moments, the characters were fun, and this was a quick, entertaining read, but it wasn't super gripping.
An Inconvenient Letter by Julie Wright had well-developed characters and a plot that was entertaining. This book was a wonderful read. I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this sweet clean historical romance. After a letter that was never supposed to be sent ends up in the hands of a cousin, they make an agreement to help each other get the attention of their love interests. I would definitely recommend this one
I love this author's previous books, but really struggled to get invested in this one. There was lots of frustrating communication - or lack of communication and I wish the conflict had been resolved sooner.
1828, London. Marietta writes a letter to her crush but doesn't send it however she does address it, why-why would you address it??? Well a servant sees it and sends it and the recipient's cousin gets the letter and pretty much blackmails her into helping her get her sister. To me this book was meh, there were some entertaining parts but it didn't grab me and really want me to root for these two characters. I do think others will like this book so take my review with a grain of salt.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a cute story! While frustrating to see the main characters focus on their own selfish gains, the amount of growth and funny interactions 100% made up for it!
The back and forth between the two main characters got a little tiresome after awhile but overall I enjoyed the novel.
I mean where to start??? an incredible story with amazing characters!! Etta and Gerald are perfectly paired together and their story is just incredible!! it is very much like bridgerton meets to all the boys i’ve loved before!!
The characters in this novel are fantastic. I love Etta’s Fiery temperament. Cute, funny and totally delightful story!
This was a cute, easy read with a touch YA regency romance. I was excited to read this thinking it would be a regency take on “To All The Boys I Loved Before” with written letters that aren’t meant to be sent. Which gets sent. Cue drama!

I liked Etta and Gerard together. There’s a deal, some fake dating and forced proximity with a love quad (square?😆) with a down on his luck penniless gentleman and a young woman recovering from a scandalalous season before. This book has a little bit of everything.
💌
I feel this book was light. Not fluffy and pretty lacking in high stakes chemistry. The letter at the end helps with sweet romance but the whole time Etta and Gerard were together, there was no butterflies. The fake dating could’ve been played up a lot more. It’s more like fake interest.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an arc copy. This book is available everywhere in all formats. These are my own thoughts and opinions.
Regency era Hallmark vibes with better tension and kisses! An adorable closed-door romance!
I received an ARC from Netgalley and all opinions are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed An Inconvenient Letter by Julie Wright. This was another story I read late into the night as I was totally engaged from page one. The pacing is perfect — pages flew by! I especially loved the characters in this delightful and charming story. Etta is a great heroine. She is strong, independent, and completely knows her own mind. She is also genuinely compassionate and pays attention. She sees a situation for what is truly is, and she understands why people act they way they do because of those situations. In other words, Etta is really good at seeing the heart of a matter and she cares deeply. I appreciate her use of un-sent letters for cathartic purposes. I relate to Etta because I, too, have penned many letters I didn’t send just to get my feeling about people and circumstances out. So, when her un-sent letters get sent, I really felt her pain. I can’t even imagine how I would have felt if any of my diary-like, intimate, private letters had been mailed out. I think I would have died from embarrassment. But Etta is amazing. Not even this faux pas gets her down. She makes lemonade from these unfortunate lemons. And this unlucky letter-mailing brings her back in contact with a childhood friend, Gerard Hartwell. Gerard is a good hero. He is a seriously hard worker, he has a good heart, and he wants to do right by his family, friends, employees, and tenants. But Gerard is also a bit myopic. He needs Etta to open his eyes to some of his truths. I really appreciated this aspect of the story the most — how Etta and Gerard’s relationship grows over time and allows them to become the best versions of themselves. That’s genuinely what a good romantic relationship should really be all about.
An Inconvenient Letter is a sweet Regency Romance that I genuinely enjoyed and highly recommend. If you’re a fan of well-written, engaging storytelling with a delightfully fun romance then An Inconvenient Letter is definitely the book for you!
I received a review copy of this novel in eBook form from the publisher, Shadow Mountain Publishing, via NetGalley. In no way has this influenced my review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Thank you NetGalley and Julie Wright for my copy of An Inconvenient Letter! This was my first book experience with Julie Wright, and I was NOT disappointed.
This Regency Era romance was everything a Bridgerton Fan could ask for!
Etta has a problem... she's in love with her best friend's brother, and he couldn't care less and is none the wiser. Etta finds herself writing love letters to him as a way of venting her emotions, and childishly indulging in her fantasies. One tragic day... these correspondences are discovers and mailed to him!!! What's worse... is a scandal surrounding their families have left them in a predicament to which Etta must strategically find a way to get her letters back before they fall into his hands.
Just when she thinks she's in the clear... her crushes' cousin - Gerard - finds the letters. His own circumstances have him desperate to save himself... leading to a scandalous blackmail scheme set to solve both of their problems. Etta and Gerard agree to fake court each other during the off season - so that her letters are returned to her without anyone else knowing... and Gerard to earn her sister's affections for marriage. But as always.... it's fake dating... what could go wrong?
Tropes:
-Regency Era
-Historical Romance
-Best Friend's Brother/Family
-Fake Dating/Blackmail
-Family Feuds + Scandals!
-Slow Burn + Clean Romance
Overall 4.5 stars! Will definitely be grabbing a physical copy for the shelf!
I thought this was a fun story. I loved how the whole story started off with Marietta’s love letters not suppose to be sent and one ending up in the wrong hands. I liked how Gerard and Marietta tried to not fall in love as they faked a courtship but found that they were perfect for each other. I liked how Marietta encourage Gerard and gave him good ideas. I also liked that Gerard saw Marietta when she felt unseen. I thought the author did a great job of giving us a lovely romance with great characters to love.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own
Letters written by Etta Stone to her neighbor Frederick Finch are really a young girl's infatuation, which is why they will never be mailed. But a series of unfortunate events put one of the letters in the hands of Frederick's cousin, Gerald Hartwell. Gerald sees an opportunity to win a lady and her dowry by blackmailing Etta. He needs Etta's help to encourage her sister Anne's reception to courting. Family feuding and matchmaking are interfering and making it difficult for Gerald to get Etta's sister alone. Only it turns out it's not really Etta's sister he wants, but Etta herself. Of course nothing is easy at the beginning of a romance. I enjoy reading a romance where the overlooked, unmarried lady is really the one who stands out. A clean romance from a new author for my TBR list.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley.
I loved this story; beautifully written and romantic. Gerard and Etta are good together. Both sweet and wanting to marry for love. They decide to fake a courtship, so they court indirectly court other people. However, it is during these instances that they grow to love each another. Etta is reckless and hasty, a perfect foil to Gerard's careful and frank manner. They complement each other wonderfully and make this slow burn romance well worth the read. Both have their issues to deal with; Etta had some of her own making and some created by others. All in a delightful story.
Thanks to Shadow Mountain Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC and submit my voluntary review.
This was such a good book! Letters accidentally sent, blackmail, fake courting, and falling in love with someone you didn’t expect. This was a different approach to the genre and will make it stand out!
