Was not able to read this book before it expired. I believe I would have liked it based on the synopsis.

The Siren's Secret
by Heather Ostler

Julia's world is about to change again....

The Siren's Secret takes up where The Shapeshifter's Secret left off. Julia Levesque has spent the summer in New York and will soon return to school at Lockham. But when a Siren's appearance cuts short Summer vacation, Julia is left to wonder what message she was about to hear when Terrence whisked her away.

But Julia is having trouble this year. She can't concentrate in class, her shapeshifting abilities are fading, and Caleb is in her dreams. Why is this happening and even more worrisome what is wrong with her reflection when she is near water?

As the Soldier Union continues its campaign against Alexis and the Guild, Julia goes through a crisis that may change her present and her future. Who is Julia and how can she figure it out before it is too late? Does she listen to the prophecy or the curse? Do either have any bearing upon who she is and who she can become?

As Julia finds herself caught between two worlds, she struggles to discover her place in Ossai. Having discovered, the previous year, that she was a Shapeshifter was hard enough for Julia, but what she is about to discover about both herself and her mother may bring instability to Ossai. The future of she life and her world is about to land in Julia's life, if she can find it within herself to meet the challenge.

The Siren's Secret is a fabulous sequel to The Shapeshifter's Secret. This is a YA title that won't offend the sensibilities of parents who are looking for a clean fantasy for their teens to read. There is a touch of romance, a bit of fighting, and plenty of entertainment - so didn't miss out on this exciting sequel!

I was provided a digital copy of this title in exchange for my honest review.
