I am officially a Livy Hart fan girl. This book was an absolute delight! From a disastrous first date, sneaking around shenanigans, and some super spicy scenes this book has it all.
Mia and Alex are complete opposites. After their crazy and completely messed up first date they realize they are way more connected than either of them want to be. From their best friends dating to Mia’s father being passed over of the job Alex now has-their relationship is complicated. It’s even more complicated when they start unexpectedly getting thrown together and they actually get to know each other. Adorable interactions, witty dialogue, great friendships and steamy scenes make this book so hard to put down! I loved every second of Mia and Alex’s relationship journey. Read this book now!

The title of this book is quite literally spot on. I couldn’t think of a more accurate and fitting title if I tried 😆!

I haven’t laughed that much while reading a book in a LONG time!!! This book was packed to the brim with witty one liners and gibes that will make you giggle! When I say I enjoyed reading this, I truly mean it- it put me in a lighter & better mood every time I picked up. The author clearly has a knack with words, and proves it chapter after chapter by enveloping you in a cocoon of family, drama, laughter & romance.

Mia, the kind-hearted FMC that doesn’t 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 a man && loves family gatherings. Alex, the MMC that doesn’t know what true family feels like && has been steadily climbing the corporate ladder… will one bad date ruin their chances at love?! Read to find out 😏👀!!

Tv show “Parenthood” mixed with In Good Company, add in drama, puppies, escape rooms & of course my absolute favorite- SPICE, and you get the recipe vibe of Some Kind of Blunderful!

Add to your TBR if you like:
-Slow Burn (but so worth it)

-Forbidden Love (dad’s boss)

3.5🌶️🌶️🌶️ on my spicy scale (don’t forget, I rate on amount/explicitness, where a 6 is kinky AF). It was detailed & hot 🥵!

Thank you so much to the author, Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for my ARC of Some Kind of Blunderful 🖤 all opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed "Some Kind of Blunderful" and I'm really looking forward to reading Livy Hart's other books. I loved the emotional pull of these two characters and reading about them going from their first awkward encounter to falling in love.

I also loved the wide cast of supporting characters and appreciated that in addition to providing support to the protagonists they also sometimes caused some of the conflicts. Additionally, I liked that the conflict in the book did not come from the protagonists making rash and illogical decisions (or, when they did make rash/illogical decisions they were able to quickly think critically about their own actions and where they went wrong).

My one criticism Some Kind of Blunderful is that I thought the ending was a little rushed. While I appreciated that there was no true third act breakup, the conflict at the end of the book emerged very quickly and then basically resolved itself on its own. Additionally, I thought there were a few emotional aspects of the book that could have been explored a little more (ex. Alex's toxic relationship with his cousin).

4 stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the eARC. All opinions are my own.

Mia gets stood up on a date or so she though. When Alex finally arrived, the date is off to a bad start. They quickly part ways once Alex realizes that she is the daughter of one of his employees. The one who was gunning for Alex’s job before Alex got that job. Talk about messy. Alex is literally the most swoon worthy guy who didn’t have the best upbringing. Mia is a ray of sunshine. Her and Alex keep running into each other and the more they talk, the more they like each other. I loved this book so much. Go buy immediately.

Thank you Entangled for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Some Kind of Blunderful was is enemies to lovers between Mia and Alex.
A disastrous first date via a dating and multiple future run ins.
Mia was a sweet teacher who meets Alex via a dating app. After disastrous first date and finding out he is her father's boss she has completely written him off. Then she was set up on a blind date by her best friend and her current boyfriend, only to find out the blind date is Alex. They try to fight their attraction the numerous encounters to follow.
While wonderfully written, I feel like the ending to this book felt kind of rushed, but always happy with a HEA.

Thanks netgalley and publisher for a copy of this E-arc. All thoughts of this review are my own.

Mia Madden doesn’t love the idea of the constantly bad love life, but she’s trying. She always seems to see the same type of hot guy profile. The guys might be hot, but when they bring the boardroom to the streets, she just isn’t interested. Queue up, Alex Conroy who fits that entire description and after one terrible date, she knows he isn’t worth her time or her purse wine. She thought she would never hear of Alex again, let alone see him. However, she quickly discovers that Alex is the Conroy her dad continually complains about as his new boss. To make matter worse, their respective best friends are dating and they are constantly finding themselves now in each others company. As their lives continue to intertwine, she finds herself falling into bed with him and Mia doesn’t know if Alex still has the chance to ruin her’s dad career or her love life. Either way, she might be falling in love.

This was another winner from Livy Hart! This one had my laughing almost the entire time. Mia is a character that puts her values out there and I love that she sticks up for her family no matter what. The banter between Alex and Mia is relatable at times and true enemies to lovers timeline. So far, Hart’s romances are must reads for me and I hope that she continues down that path! This one comes out next week on the 25th, so make sure you add this to your TBR now.

Thank you @netgalley, @entangled_publishing and @livyhartromance for the advanced copy for my honest review. This is coming out in the US next week, so you don’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this one.

Love, love, loved this book. It was actually pretty funny and I had such a good time. They had such a bad first date but they kept getting thrown together and it was adorable. Alex wanted to impress Mia's dad so bad. He just wanted to be able to be a part of a family. Mia was so sweet and she loved Alex a ton. They are just perfect for each other.

I received an arc through netgalley.

Mia and Alex are the definition of opposites attract. She’s a preschool teacher who’s family oriented and he’s a corporate hot shot focused on his career. When their lives come together unexpectedly after their blunder of a first date, they have to navigate their relationships with not only their friends and family, but also with each other. A lot of the things that happen are common occurrences when dating. We make assumptions about people’s motives and there’s a lot of miscommunication as you get to know someone. The ending of this book proves that it is possible for two very different people to find a way to compromise and combine their lives in a positive way.

Mia and Alex have the cutest meet-disaster in the history of meet-disasters. It starts with a wild assumption which leads to an overheard phone call, purse wine, and the level of second-hand embarrassment usually saved for trips to the park with small children.

Things escalate from there.

Not only does Alex work with Mia's dad, but he's the new boss who's been reeking havoc on dear old dad's life and confidence levels. Alex is also best friend's with the boyfriend of MIA's best friend. There is literally no escaping each other after their disaster of a date, and the pair start to wonder if maybe Fate doesn't have something special in store for them...

Some Kind of Blunderful was awkward, hilarious, and endearing. I loved the banter between Mia and Alex. I have five pages of highlights from this book on my Kindle because each interaction was ripe with quips and adorable monologues. Mia's concern for her dad plays a huge role in her relationship - or lack thereof - with Alex, and Alex's lack of a relationship with his family plays a huge role in how dedicated he is to Mia.

"I don't know how to be a partner. I've never been anything to anyone, let alone everything to someone."

It's so much fun watching the character who's never had a solid relationship fall first. It's like watching a baby learn to walk - there's lots of laughter AND tears. Alex was a fish out of water trying to figure out how to balance these new feelings with not wanting to over do things with Mia. He was never once condescending or rude and always tried to be the best version of himself. He was my favorite kind of hero!

Fans of enemies-to-lovers, dad's boss, and found family tropes will devour Some Kind of Blunderful!

I read Planes, Trains, and All the Feels, enjoyed it, and decided to give Some Kind of Blunderful a shot. I found it difficult to like either Mia or Alex. Even as the book progressed and you find out more about them, I couldn't get passed my initial "meh" of both characters. I also struggled with the secondary characters. It just wasn't the book for me.

Thank you to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, and Livy Hart for the eARC.

SOME KIND OF BLUNDERFUL is bursting with Livy Hart's usual trademarks -- fun but flawed characters, sharp and snappy dialogue, and just the right amount of laugh out loud hijinks on every page. I really enjoyed Mia's character in particular and found her relationship with her family (another Livy staple) to be a strong bright spot and her chemistry with Alex sparked off the page in all the best ways.

It's official. I want to be friends with Livy Hart. Her writing is so effing funny, and the little references she makes like "calm yourself, Iago" just make me feel like we would get along so well 😂

Some Kind of Blunderful is a wonderful romantic comedy where Mia and Alex have a truly cringeworthy first date, and it just gets more awkward from there when they find themselves running in the same circles. Because Alex is Mia's dad's boss. The one he's always complaining about. And their best friends are also dating, so there's that. They can't escape each other, so they just have to blunder their way through it.

I loved that Mia is a teacher! While i dont teach the really little ones, i related to her feelings about the profession so much. I adored Mia and Alex together even when they were super antagonistic, and Josie and Ezra were also the perfect besties. I'm picturing a double wedding, lol. And I loved the growth that our two lovers had after their hilariously combative beginning. I will continue to read anything that Livy writes. She is terrific!

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review that is totally my own thoughts and opinions.

Mia and Alex have an embarrassing and awkward date (yet another dating app fail for Mia) and both are confident they won’t have to see each other again. He’s a corporate hotshot too good looking to be real, and she carries purse wine and has very graphic phone conversations with her best friend. Which means of course, now they can’t stop running into each other. As it turns out, their best friends are dating AND Alex is the new boss Mia’s dad can’t stop hating on. In between all the run-ins when they’d rather be avoiding each other, there is a spark of attraction that keeps flaming and Mia and Alex begin to see more in each other than they initially thought. Staying away from each other is harder than it should be. There is a lot going against them- including the fact that Mia loves her predictable job, small town and close-knit family, while Alex is content with bouncing around the country restructuring businesses with no close family he connects with. Paired with the reality of Mia’s dad despising Alex, this is a relationship that will never work. Right? Or maybe…they could give it a try and see if something wonderful happens.

This was my first Livy Hart book and will NOT be my last. Oh my goodness. I think I happy-danced and giggled and maybe even squealed in glee a few times reading this. WHAT a lovely story. On paper this seemed like a pretty straightforward romance. Boy and Girl initially dislike each other, then reluctantly like each other, then fall in love only to have an obstacle add chaos to the story, but it resolves happily in the end. For me, sometimes the simple stories are just what I need. There wasn’t a whole lot of drama or high stakes or flash in this book, and that’s what made it perfect. A good ol’ love story. Two people finding their way in life, wanting different things, with outside forces making it difficult to be together, only to come together and work hard for their happily ever after. There was enough humor and fun forced proximity events that kept it light and not boring. Both main characters were relatable and likable, with good friends there to cheer them on and encourage them. I loved that the chemistry between them was so awkward and choppy at first, then as they got to know each other, you could feel them falling in love in real time across the pages. Enough backstory was given on each character for it to feel like all of their motivations and feelings were very honest. Nothing felt particularly forced- especially the spicy parts. The sexual tension was fantastic in this book and the payoff was great!

I can't wait to read more by this author!

The build up throughout this was *chefs kiss*. I devoured this book! I caught myself laughing out loud quite a few times while I was reading because it was legitimately funny. I enjoyed the importance of family as well. I think the one thing I really vibed with was the online dating aspect of this. I felt for Mia...it's rough out there! Alex was just swoon worthy and turned into the perfect match. Goes to show you that sometimes giving someone a second chance could prove you wrong!

4.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this advanced copy! You can pick up Some Kind of Blunderful on September 25, 2023.

This romance was so cute! I loved both of the main characters and their POVs. They were relatable, fleshed-out characters who really popped off the page. Were some of the scenes and dialogue cheesey? Of course. But it was the kind of cheese I'd eat up all day.

The romantic and sexual tension was also off the CHARTS. I almost wish there were one or two more spicy scenes because the author executed them so well. Honesty, I could've used more time of them being in a relationship, period.

The dad storyline was super interesting to me and really added good complexity to the story. At some point, though, I was BEGGING for a scene where Alex would be vulnerable with Richard about his rough childhood. I wanted him to make a comment about wishing he had a dad like Rich growing up, and Rich softening toward him as he realizes why Alex struggles to open up to people. That scene would have made this book an immediate 5 stars.

But overall, it was well worth the read! Great side characters, a fun plot, and a cute romance that has you rooting for the main couple. 10/10 would recommend!

This was my second Livy Hart book and will not be my last. I really love the banter between her characters and how real they feel. This was a unique story - two people who have a disastrously awkward first date and then are thrown together repeatedly until they realize they actually do really like each other. I'm a sucker for a hero who does-not-believe-in-that-love-crap and then falls HARD for his girl and Alex is absolutely gone for Mia. I loved it.

I loved this enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy! It brimmed with life, laughter, family, steam, and joy. Excellent banter, realistic relationships, fun side characters, and a puppy! Mia and Alex are fantastic leads with heart and humor. What more could anyone want? (Except maybe a sequel?!)

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the chance to read and review.

I might just be a Hart fangirl at this point, because she has delivered three outstanding, personality-filled romances so far... and I am happy to go along for the ride! This was SO much fun, with tons of banter and such a playful feel. These two instant enemies have some crazy chemistry from the moment they meet, whether they realize it or not. Their feuding was actually foreplay, and I loved that the concept felt so fresh. I've never read a romance with a setup quite like this one. I adored that they slowly, begrudgingly found their way together, and the initial sparks that flew between them turned into a fiery inferno. Wowza, this was one SPICY delight. The first hookup scene was absolutely phenomenal, with heat dripping from the page. It's sexy and intimate one moment and completely hysterical the next, which made it such an engaging, entertaining read. I loved it!

The story follows Mia and Alex, two people who met on a dating app and had one brief, disastrous date. When Alex discovers that he is Mia's dad's boss, he can't get out of there fast enough - and Mia isn't exactly heartbroken that things didn't work out with the infuriating workaholic. That would've been the end of it if their best friends hadn't started dating and then proceeded to set them up on a blind date. Between hangouts with their friends and work events where they pretend not to know each other, Alex and Mia find themselves spending a lot of time together against their will. As they get to know each other better, the two soon discover that they're more compatible than either realized, but there's absolutely no way that crossing any lines is a good idea. Not only does Mia's dad hate Alex, but she does too... right?

I loved Hart's first two books, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one - and it definitely did not disappoint! Alex and Mia are electric together, with the kind of banter and chemistry that leaps off the page. I loved how their initial feuding set the tone for the story, and yet it didn't take long for those feelings to morph into something else entirely. Very few books have the kind of palpable chemistry and tension that these characters have in nearly every scene, and the spicy scenes were particularly memorable. Hart does a fantastic job bringing those moments to life. And I also loved the characters themselves; not only did Mia feel one-of-a-kind and was such a firecracker, but I loved Alex more with every page. He reveals a side of himself that was devastatingly addictive, and the book transitions into "he falls first" or at the very least "he pursues relentlessly" vibes. Which I adored, by the way. Honestly, I adored a whole lot about this. It was exceedingly easy to binge and will likely leave me with quite the book hangover, but it was such a playful, sexy, swoony ride.

Another great book by Livy Hart. I adore Mia and Alex's relationship. It had some spice, a cute dog, and a little bit of enemies to lovers so it was a great book in my opinion.

Um hi, okay wow - that was just the most delightful read. I laughed, I swooned, I got choked up - all the things you want in a great read. I had some high expectations when I saw this one was dedicated to the show The Office because let’s be real that show is a masterpiece and boy did it deliver! So many fun nods to the show that I so enjoyed picking up while reading, on top of just a down right good story with top tier characters.

I felt the second hand embarrassment through the screen of my kindle reading about Mia and Alex’s first date AND THEN when they just quite literally couldn’t escape each other. Even though these characters were pushed together in the most ordinary of ways, the way Livy Hart wrote those moments made them feel extraordinary. There was some real depth to their respective stories and I loved each of their character arcs.

Also talk about one H.O.T. couple - sheesh 🥵 PLUS a cute little golden retriever puppy 🥹 any book that has a puppy is an instant winner for me!

I loved this story and these characters and cannot WAIT to read my next Livy Hart book - thank you netgalley, entangled, and Livy for an early copy in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏻 can’t wait to add this one to the trophy shelf!
