I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was sweet & the forbidden romance trope was executed really well. I liked how philosophical and insightful the dialogue about life esp relationships were, mainly towards the near end when Josie and Mia had that chat.
Alex + Mia = super cute. I liked both of them as a whole and even as a single unit, they shined well.
The side characters were involved nicely and had their own strong + fun personalities.
The fact that Alex was first introduced as this corporate invested guy and then soon showed his actual sweet self, basically I went from "ugh this guy" to really liking him. The fact that he was so whipped and into Mia made it everything!
Lastly that epilogue which was so wholesome and gave me a few feelsss! Overall, a general cool read with some nice moments and cool characters.

#somekindofblunderful
Some Kind of Blunderful is my favorite book that Livy Hart has written so far! Alex and Mia’s story had me hooked from the first chapter and I couldn’t stop reading. Their relationship was hilariously awkward from the start and they just kept getting thrown together in every kind of situation. With an undeniable attraction to each other, how long can they resist what’s bubbling between them?
If you love a good romcom and a slightly forbidden romance trope, then this book is a must read!
REVIEW
cw: grief, mention of childhood neglect, bereavement
When Mia meets new to-town Alex via an app, their date gets off to a rocky start. Things deteriorate even more when he discovers she's the daughter of the man whom he beat to the managerial position at his new workplace. Both agree that it would be unwise to take things any further. No matter their mutual attraction or the fact that their best friends are dating and keep throwing them together.
Livy Hart is quickly becoming a favourite author. She writes THE best awkward situations, mixed with perfect snarky banter and swoon-worthy moments. Their first date was SO adorably awkward. Like, it gave me second-hand cringes in the best possible way. I loved the slow-burn in this story, and I always enjoy it when the guy realises he's fallen first. I ADORED Alex. He was such a cinnamon roll, and he made me swoon so many times, but most memorably at the animal shelter. The little moments with Andi, as well as KC, were so adorable. My heart broke for him whenever he referred to his childhood, but I loved how supportive Mia was. Mia was such a caregiver, and the absolute perfect match for Alex. I really loved it when she let her walls down, but also enjoyed her friendship with Josie, as well as her sassy banter with Alex. Their chemistry was sublime, but more than that, they were SO stinking cute together. There were so many interesting supporting characters, but my favourites were Christos, Josie, Ezra, and Max*. The themes of growing older in the workplace and bereavement were dealt with sensitively, and I really felt for Mia's father at times, even though he often gave Alex too hard a time. But I really loved how Alex stood his ground, and his grand gestures were adorable. The final chapters and epilogue had me swooning all over again.
Another truly delightful romance from Livy Hart.

Favourite Quotes:
“Don’t sell yourself short, Mia. Look at you. Your bar for men needs to be in f*cking space.”
I wish I’d known the very first time I looked at her that it’d become a hard habit to break. Maybe I would’ve been smart enough not to start.
I think about what he told me on the boat, his gaze cast down. I’ve never been anything to anyone, let alone everything to someone.
“You’re something to me, Alex.”
“Perfect isn’t real, but this is. And every day with you gets better and better.”
This was an enjoyable, lighthearted slow-burn-ish romance that hits all those notes you may be looking for in a rom-com. There's a lot of topical references, some miscommunication and misunderstandings (which are helped by getting dual POV), some mild family drama and lots of sweet happy moments. The story in particular doesn't feel memorable to me, but I enjoyed MIa and Alex's story as I was reading it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

Synopsis:
After an awkward first date Mia Madden is more than happy never to see Alex Conroy again. But life has a funny sense of humour, and keeps bringing them together – from finding out their best friends are dating, to Mia learning that Alex is the new boss at her dad’s work that he keeps complaining about. They are constantly thrown together at events and can barely tolerate each other. But annoyance soon gives in to attraction and before Mia knows it, she’s falling for the guy who could ruin her dad’s career.
Thoughts:
Mia and Alex’s first date was deliciously awkward and filled with misunderstandings. I liked Mia right away as she was fun and relatable. But Alex came across as a condescending tight a**.
Hart’s writing is fun with moments of humor, and you can’t help but think the universe is conspiring to get these two together. As they keep stepping into each other’s paths you can feel the tension, but slowly these two lower their guards – sometimes unintentionally and that gives way to curiosity. We learn from these little moments the background and vulnerabilities of these two and that first impressions are not always right. Soon they both fight their attraction to one another, with her dad being a big obstacle for the couple, which leaves the reader wondering how are these two going to make it.
It was nice to see especially at the end that both the mains communicated as adults to work through the conflict. I’ll admit I didn’t like Alex at first, but by the end he became my favorite – you know an author is a good writer when they can do that.
This story has some lovely side characters and references to the tv show, The Office – which I’m a big fan of so that was a winner for me.
If you love a not so meet cute, secretly dating, slow burn and dual pov you’ll like this. There is also some very hot open door spicy time. The spa scene especially was hot!
Thank you @entangled_publishing and @netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book had me laughing, crying, blushing, swooning, gasping and cringing. All the emotions. Mia is trying to find her forever person and it's been a bit of an uphill battle. So she's decided to give dating apps a try. She matches with Alex, the super hot model type with an amazing smile, and decides to take the risk. This is where the shenanigans starts. We get to see how they navigate their past traumas, their denied feelings and attraction for each other, not to mention the plethora of obstacles in their way. I would love to read more about Mia and Alex. I will definitely read more from this author, I'm a fan!
Thank you Netgalley and the lovely folks over at Entangled Publishing. This is my second Livy Hart book this year and her books are just the best romcoms ever. It’s got the slow burn spice that makes me giddy and it was just plain fun to read.
The cutest little love story! I’m a big fan of Livy Hart’s writing. Her books have the perfect mixture of funny, romantic and spicy!
If you love:
☀️ sunshine/grump
⚔️ enemies to lovers
❌ forbidden romance
🌶️ SPICE!
Then this one is for you!!
I really did not see how these two would make it work after that horrible first date and the awkward encounters that followed! Their funny banter and entertaining dynamic made the book so much fun to read!
I really liked that both characters had struggles in their past. It gave the story depth and made you relate to them and why they were the way they were!
The spice was phenomenal! Gotta say I really liked the whole boob sex scene! I hadn’t read it in a book before today!
The storyline flowed effortlessly, it didn’t feel too long or too short and kept me entertained from start to finish!! I really hope we’ll get a Josie and Ezra story next!
This book was a delightful romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud and even shedding a few tears. The writing is fun and playful and I found myself relating to the main characters.
Alex and Mia connect on a dating app and on their first date they get off on the wrong foot due to a miscommunication and purse wine. Alex also discovers that Mia is the daughter of one of his employees and couldn’t possibly date her…right? They both think they have seen the last of each other, but life has other plans and keeps throwing them together. After several run-ins, the pair slowly realizes that maybe they have judged one another prematurely. However, Alex and Mia also have both been hurt in the past and must work through their baggage to see what could possibly be in their future.
This book is aptly named and is in fact a wonderful and hilarious blundering read. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a funny and romantic read with some spice. So many elements really resonated with me and provided a reminder that “romance doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be real.”
Loved this book!
This is pretty much everything a contemporary rom-com should be: a fine cast of both main and side characters dealing with realistic situations, a perfect combination of light-hearted and deeper emotional moments, some epic banter, and excellent build-up to plenty of steam. What I particularly liked was the exploration of our different personas. We all present different angles of ourselves depending on where we are: on a date, with our friends, at work. The way things work out, Mia discovers all those facets of Alex's personality through her own experience and others' opinions, and has to reconcile that with her growing attraction to him. Livy Hart's writing continues to elicit all the emotions in the reader, and I was utterly drawn in to Mia and Alex's world.
Mia and Alex blunder into love in this modern day romance. Mia is a kindergarten teacher in the Atlanta suburbs who was previously left at the church on her wedding day. Since then her dating life has been disastrous. Alex is a hotshot executive fixer who just happens to be Mia’s dad’s boss and the guy he furiously hates. The story provides plenty of comedic relief as the two finds themselves in one disastrous moment after another. This does not, however stop them from being attracted to each other and wanting to to tear each others clothes off.
I inhale books by Livy Hart. I love her writing style, humor, and stories, and Some Kind of Blunderful is no different.
I was concerned about these characters' compatibility initially after their disastrous first date, but they are so good together and I adore Alex. I love the family dynamic and best friends, the tension and chemistry, the tropes, the heart, the backstories, etc. Love, love, love.
I enjoyed this book so much. It is a refreshing girl meets boy on a dating app and first date disasters happen type of story. Mia is a school teacher - down to earth, family oriented and takes in places like Costco for adventures. Alex is a cut throat businessman - dresses the part, never stays in one place for too long and books trips to foreign places for adventure. They come together the first time through a dating app. Mia soon learns he is the boss at her dads work. The boss her dad has been complaining about. Even though they think they shouldn’t be together, fate keeps throwing them together.
Hart has a witty and realistic way of telling her story. I laughed in places and loved the everyday, could happen in my hometown type of feel. All her characters are memorable. There is a great deal of steamy, spicy scenes in the book. This was a nice light read that would have taken me a couple days to finish if life’s craziness would have not gotten on the way. I couldn’t wait to find time, even minutes to read bits of the story. I fully submerged myself into their lives. I can envision this as a movie. A must read for any romance readers.
Livy Hart is quickly becoming a must read author for me. Some Kind of Blunderful is filled with tension, humor and spice! Mia is a quirky PreK teacher who enjoys spending time with her family and Alex is a straight laced businessman who just so happens to be Mia’a father’s new boss. It’s a will they or won’t they situation as these two enemies are constantly being thrown together in awkward situations. I adored everything from the purse wine to The Office nods to the grand gestures. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys romcoms and is looking for a quick read with some spice!

“Perfect isn’t real, but this is. And every day with you gets better and better.”
Oh Lucy Hart has MY HEART with this one. Alex is definitely swoon city, and Mia is the fiery, rainbow of passion I need in an FMC. Their chemistry is off the charts, and their love is inevitable. The process getting together? A bumpy (but spicy) road indeed. After a meet up for a dating app goes less than stellar, Alex realizes Mia is the daughter of his workplace rival. He firmly puts her off limits in his mind, as she writes him off as just not her type. Unfortunately, their best friends unknowingly set them up on a blind date. One blunder after another begins to turn blunderful when Alex and Mia stop fighting their feelings.
This one has banter, spice, and delightful characters. I highly recommend!

Thank you to Entangled for this ARC! Some Kind of Blunderful is on shelves September 25, 2023! My opinions are my own.
Honestly, I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I definitely flew through the chapters because I couldn’t put it down. The second hand embarrassment is really real with this one in a good way.
There were a few choppy scenes — like the first parking lot scene did not make any sense to me. I just couldn’t picture the FMC sitting in her car while the MMC is standing outside her open door, and they’re hugging but her ankles are locked around his back?? It was just awkward.
There were also a couple other little blips where she will explain how she’s wearing jeans and a black tank top but the MMC mentions something about her skirt. ??? You get the idea.
Other than little stuff like that I really enjoyed the story and the authors writing is really easy to read. I’d definitely recommend this one to contemporary romance readers and wouldn’t mind exploring more books written by this author.
One of my fav quotes:
“Her hair is in a tight bun, and she’s in a tracksuit, lest there be any doubt she’s ready to ransack this place”
They’re talking about going to Costco 🤣🤣
What a beautiful and tender story, it made me laugh, sigh and blush, I loved it and as always with Livy Hart's stories it warmed my heart.
After their horrible first date, Mia and Alex keep running into each other and everything goes from bad to worse, they made me laugh so much with their hilarious dialogues. But what they can't deny is their electrifying chemistry that jumps off the pages every time they're together.
Little by little they discover that what they thought about the other is totally wrong and very soon the initial attraction gives way to deeper feelings, but both are so afraid to show or that they feel because they have been hurt in the past, add to that that Mia's dad can't stand Alex and everything becomes chaos.
This story is sweet, sexy and fun, so adorable. the characters stole my heart. Definitely highly recommended for fans of

"Some Kind of Blunderful" had all my favorite Romance tropes packed into an engaging unputdownable read. I devoured this book in a few short hours and easily rated it 5⭐ stars.
Throughout the course of this book I kept thinking that this storyline would make a fantastic screen adaptation. Mia the FMC finds herself in sticky situation when she finds out that the guy she went on an awful date with also happens to be the new hot shot boss at the company her father works for. To make an uncomfortable situation even more tense he's also the best friend of her bestie's boyfriend making Alex the FMC unavoidable.
To avoid spoilers I won't go any further into the plot but I absolutely loved how the storyline started and developed between Mia and Alex. .
I definitely will be recommending this book and I think it should absolutely be on your radar!
Thank you Livy Hart, Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked this book, I thought it was the perfect rom-com book with all the right things.
I loved the main characters and I loved how Alex fell first I thought the two of them were great main characters. I also really loved Josie and Ezra! I found the characters were realistic and relatable and also found myself laughing at the things happening or what they were saying.
The spice in the book was spot on and so was the romance and relationships. I think the book flowed really well and I loved the story.
Some Kind of Blunderful reminded me of the dating version of Groundhog's Day. The two main characters just kept meeting and meeting in the worst of circumstances and eventually found their way to love.
"Just because they weren't perfect doesn't mean they don't count. Perfect isn't real, but this is. And every day with you gets better and better."
This book was fun and enjoyable, yet dealt with some heavier issues. Mia and Alex's initial interactions were so awkwardly painful and funny and I was here for all the drama. I wanted to keep reading to find out how Mia and Alex would meet again. They were so crazily connected through circumstance!
I really enjoyed Mia's character. She was accurately portrayed as a preschool teacher and all her education struggles were relatable and real. Her collection of shoes made me drool and the wine in her purse had me wanting to hang out with her at a basketball game. I loved how she's healed from the shitty situation she was dealt with her ex-fiance leaving her at the alter.
Alex was a different type of hero. While he portrayed a care-free attitude on the outside, he really had a sad side to him, especially his situation growing up, which deeply impacted his actions with Mia. While I got annoyed with how hot and cold the pair were at times, I could see the motive behind it, especially with Alex's upbringing and lack of home life. My favorite part was Alex talking with Mia's "trouble" student at the play rehearsal.
Both grew emotionally in the book and after some bumps along the way, they made a great couple. The book is steamy and had fantastic side characters that helped round out the cast.
