Livy Hart has now written two of my favorite books of the year. I cannot think of a single thing I didn’t like about this book.

Mia and Alex’s first meeting is an app-made date meet-disaster. Both assume it will be their first and last, but life and fate have other plans for the two of them. To add insult to already bad first impressions, Alex is Mia’s father’s boss who got hired for the job her father wanted and has brought his morale down both at work and home. As the two keep finding themselves thrown together, their chemistry becomes more and more undeniable. To borrow a lyric from Taylor Swift, with these two “it’s gonna be forever, or it’s gonna go down in flames…”

Livy Hart is phenomenal at writing tension of all kinds. Sexual, friendship, family tension, sometimes all rolled into one. It shines in this book. Even after Mia and Alex have given in to their chemistry, they’re still operating under tension thanks to the challenge of her father. Their chemistry is off the charts and the banter is top notch. The two characters personalities seem so opposite but at their core they align and balance each other out. The side characters are fun and add value to the story as well. This book overall was just so much fun and heartwarming.

I have previously said Livy Hart is my Christina Lauren and I one hundred percent stand by that statement after reading Some Kind of Blunderful.

Mia, a preschool teacher, hasn't had the best luck with men. Alex, her latest online dating match, seems to be a date that has gone better than any other in the past few months. That is, until she realizes that he's the CONROY that her dad can't stop complaining about. He's her dad's boss, which makes him totally off limits.

Alex is a new corporate leader to Peachtree Tech. He's been climbing up the corporate ladder in different businesses lately and now has settled in Avondale. Alex is trying to stay away from Mia. Her dad cannot stand to have meetings with him. Yet their chemistry is off the charts. Tension sizzling, in a some kind of blunderful way.

I devoured Some Kind of Blunderful in less than twenty four hours. The pacing felt right and I loved that Livy Hart intertwined dual points of view to tell Alex and Mia's tale. The found family aspects and overall plot structure had me continuously flipping the kindle pages! I do think this may be Hart's spiciest book yet, which isn't a bad thing by far because if you read this book, you'll know that it had to happen when it did. I CANNOT wait to read whatever this fabulous author puts out next.

I loved this book so much! I found myself telling my daughter about it and laughing over the dating mishaps that Mia encountered like she was a friend. It feels that way. Readers will laugh with her, be frustrated, sad at times and rally for her future. It is the kind of book that gets into your heart and makes you happy.

Dislike to love+ secret romance+ dads boss+ small town+ the most hilarious meet cute + no 3rd act breakup

Let me start by saying I laughed so hard during their meet cute/awkward first date that I had tears in my eyes. The secondhand embarrassment was real and I’m here for it. There was so much humor but also this really organic romance that Livy built. These two are thrown together over and over again and each time is funny, but you will feel the sexual tension through the page and be screaming at them to kiss already! Then the spice hits and things get really spicy! These two are like kindling waiting for a tiny spark to turn into a raging fire. I love how Mia has to come to this realization that Alex is not then man she’s built up as a bad guy in her head and how while she’s getting to know him she learns to trust not only herself but another person romantically again. There is a quote from the book “When you love the right person, they make it safe to need them.” I feel like this really summarizes their relationship. Okay so while there’s some miscommunication between the MCs it’s resolved really quickly, the main point of contention is them hiding their relationship from her dad. OF course this blows up in their face as it often does when there is a secret relationship in books. However, this book handles it so well even when hurtful things are said in the moment the resolution to them happens fairly quickly and I dare you not to tear up when it does. Mia has the most beautiful relationship with her dad and sisters while Alex has never known family dynamics like hers. The ending is of course spectacular and very sweet. There are lots of little references to The office and I loved them! I highly recommend giving Some Kind of blunderful a read especially if you like a classic romcom.

Three books under her belt, and already an auto-buy author. Livy Hart writes such gorgeous stories, and Some Kind of Blunderful is another one of them. Full of banter (not only between Mia and Alex, but also with secondary characters), heartfelt moments, tiny bouts of wisdom, all that with characters that, while vulnerable, show how absolutely strong they are.

I really enjoyed every second of this book. I loved Mia and her personality, and I loved how protective she was of her father. The Mia-Alex interactions were so, so good! Every blunderful moment, every vulnerable one. And Alex: once he's in this, he's completely in this.

I knew that starting to read Some Kind of Blunderful late in the evening would end up in reading all night, and this is exactly what happened. Absolutely no regrets. Can't wait to add a physical copy to my shelf!

Thank you to the wonderful folks, especially Nola, at Entangled Publishing for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Wow! What can I say? The romance between Mia and Alex was just superbly written!

I loved how the author was able to spin it perfectly. Just can not say enough good about this book!

I loved the banter, the Georgia setting and most if all the hot steamy romance!

Incredible, fantastic. A must read!!

Y'all get ready for another Livy Hart masterpiece! And this one takes place in Georgia! All of us Georgia peaches can exclaim in utter glee for all this peachy goodness.

I think the thing that I love about Livy's books are that they take traditional tropes and make them so original. She's amazing at making something we have seen over and over again new, different, and exciting to read. This book is no exception!

Read this for:
- Enemies to lovers
- Mistaken identity
- Forbidden love
- Forced proximity
- Found family

Imagine going on a terrible blind first date. Then imagine that the terrible blind first date happens to be the best friend of your best friend's new boyfriend. But that's not all. That guy also happens to be the new young boss your Dad absolutely hates.

This is what happens to Mia. Unfortunately, the universe seems to want to keep putting Mia and Alex together and they continually find themselves in situations together. As they are constantly forced together, they start to get to know one another. The attraction has always been there, but now the real feelings begin to develop. Truths start to pour out, revealing things about one another neither could have ever thought was there.

Expect the usual hilarious lines from this one as you do in all of Livy's books. They will have you cracking up. I adored all the shout outs to Georgia that were peppered within the story. So many things around Mia and her character felt so relatable to me.

As always, family plays a big role in this book. I also adored the best friends of Mia and Alex. Josie and Ezra were so fun and added to the story. There were some emotional moments for both Mia and Alex and each having to really come to terms with things about themselves and grow in order to bet together. Also, any book with a super cute puppy is really a book for me.

The chemistry these two have is pretty much off the charts. I think this may be the spiciest book I've read from Livy and I am here for it! It all worked for me so well in the story.

I'm already ready for my next Livy Hart read, but I also can't wait to get the final copy of this one when it publishes!

Thank to Livy for providing me an advanced copy to beta read and Entangled for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Entangled and Livy Hart for the arc. However all the thoughts and opinions are my own.

At this point do I need to gush about Livy and her books or do you already know how obsessed I am with them( books and the author behind them). And so should you....

This time we are following Mia a thrifty, refurbishing teacher and Alex her dad's career focused new boss who he doesn't like...
In the true romance irony Mia and Alex end up having a bad date, get set up on another blind date with each other by their best friends Josie and Ezra who are dating, panicked shopping adventures, painting things and so much more, all the while fighting their mutual attraction to the absolute hilarity.
Throw in a cute puppy, close family dynamics, tough family history, and a bunch of steamy and spicy moments and you get this book.

Suffice to say another roaring success by Livy and as always all the starts in the universe.

Well? What are you staring at me for? Go and look at the pretty pretty books. You will not be disappointed.

Side note for Livy and Livy alone...How dare you make me cry in the acknowledgement...

From their awkward first date, to all the obstacles that stand in their way, from denying feelings to finally accept the inevitable—I was all in on Mia and Jack’s story! She radiates light and warmth; he is more serious and buttoned up (until he’s NOT); their emotions are sincere and genuine, and the heat they generate—whew!! I loved having a front row seat for this endearing romance between two people who came together hoping that their love could heal their bruised hearts.

I've been on an ARC reading spree this year, and what I love more than anything is finding an undiscovered gem. Such is the case for "Some Kind of Blunderful". This is my first story by Livy Hart, and I can guarantee that it won't be the last.

Mia is strong and independent, but alas she's had her heart broken before and also happens to be a liiiitle too concerned with her Dad's opinions about her dating life (or lack thereof).

Alex is a classic workaholic, who has a bit of a sweet side, albeit buried deep under the surface.

When Mia and Alex meet on their first date, sparks fly, but not in a good way. It's tense and awkward, but underneath it all, there's that undeniable chemistry simmering under the surface. Despite agreeing to part ways, life keeps throwing them together, and despite their efforts to keep things "strictly professional", they end up falling for each other. Hard.

Despite how heartbreaking Alex's past is and how much depth this story carries in terms of the evolution of their relationship, it really is such a "simple" story. While this is strictly an enemies-to-lovers story that includes some hilarious banter between Mia and Alex, it's pretty easy to see from the very beginning that their wisecracks are only a prelude to how deeply they're going to fall for each other.

If I have anything negative to say about the story, it is that what happened right after the third-act-almost-breakup felt a little rushed. However, considering how realistic and logical it ended up being, it didn't take away too much from the actual story.

I've never met a Livy Hart book I didn't love and Some Kind of Blunderful has the same banter, chemistry, and hilarious writing I've come to expect from one of my very favorite authors.

After a blind date gone wrong, Mia finds out Alex is the new hot-shot boss her dad can't stop complaining about. And their best friends are dating. Alex and Mia are thrown together in a romantic comedy of errors that quickly turns these enemies into lovers.

I was hooked from the very line in this story: "The road to Hades is paved with suspiciously hot online dating profiles." Livy's voice and quippy one-liners always make me smile and are some of my favorite things about her writing. The premise of this story was flawless, the friend group and close family made for a shining star supporting cast, and Mia and Alex absolutely shine in their enemies-but-pretending-to-get-along glory.

Five stars from me! Thanks to Livy Hart, NetGalley, and Entangled Publishing for the ARC!
