Mary never disappoints! Didn't see the plot twist coming at all. Kept me entertained and wondering the entire book. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Net Galley and Park Row Publishers for an ARC of this book.

I've only read one other book by the author, and it wasn't a top read for me. This one, however, kept me interested the entire time. I felt a little confused at the end, so I may need to go back and look at some things to make more sense of it. Who am I kidding...on to the next read.

This one was a solid 3.5 stars for me.

I have read all of Mary Kubica’s books and enjoyed them all. This one is no exception! I couldn’t wait to get to the end and find out how it was going to turn out. I love that all her books are set in the Chicago area (this one was Chicago specifically) because I always know the places she is referring to within the book. This book was a great story of Meghan, her daughter, and Caitlyn, a patient in the ICU that Meghan is taking care of. The book had a few plot twists that all took me by surprise. Overall, I flew through this book pretty quickly. The chapters are a good length - not too long. Mary Kubica will continue to be an auto read author for me! Thanks for the ARC!

Thank you Netgalley, Harlequin Publishers and Mary Kubica for the ARC.

SHE'S NOT SORRY is Mary Kubica's latest book . It's largely set in a hospital, following an entire cast of characters you cannot trust, Lots of twists and turns, many that I saw coming. I found that my attention wandered more often than not while I was reading. Sadly not my favorite book by this author.

Love the cover, love the hospital setting, love not knowing who to cheer for. This is one of my faves by Mary Kubica. It’s a fast paced page turner with twists upon more twists. The unreliable characters make it so so good. Go into it blind! Only one plot was very easy to guess but not the rest. Her writing style is great and the story has a good flow. There were times my jaw dropped. I will definitely recommend to my fellow readers, especially those that love thrillers!

Thank you @MaryKubica, @HarlequinTradePublushing and @NetGalley for a free e-ARC. The opinions are mine alone and not biased in any way.

She's Not Sorry is a page turner, from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and how twisted the plot was. We have a hospital setting, a single Mom, Meghan ( who is a nurse) with a teenage daughter, an X husband, a possible suicide patient on her care, and her patients parents. Things keep happening on a daily basis, that makes Meghan even more suspicious of everyone around her. Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read this book. I give it a
4 out of 5.

This book is an odd mix of binge-worthy and underwhelming for me.
Every time I picked it up, I flew through it. But a lot of the twist I saw coming. Our main character Meghan also drove me crazy for a bit.

I did enjoy the main plot of the story even though a few of the characters were kind of irritating to me. I liked reading from the perspective of an ICU nurse. This is a thriller that is easy to fly through, especially with the plot twists. It did feel like there was too much going on on the sidelines though. There was another plot happening in the book that seemed random and unnecessary that I could have done without. Overall, not my favorite by Mary Kubica.

If you are looking for a fast-paced thriller to binge, She's Not Sorry is for you.

Here, you are following a single-mom, divorcee, who works as an ICU nurse. One day, a woman who survived a suicide attempt by jumping off a bridge, comes to her ICU bed and is in a coma. While she is trying to help the parents of the patient and the patient herself, she is having to deal with an ex-husband, her teenage daughter who is, well being a teenager....and living in fear of a man who is terrorizing the area and the women who live there.

I found the first several chapters somewhat slow, as we are trying to learn more about all of the characters, but once it picked up...it did not slow down, and was able to finish it in a few hours. This book did not let up with the twists and the drama that unfolded.

This is an easy and solid five stars from me.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the early access to this book.

I really enjoyed She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica. When I wasn't reading the book, I was thinking about it. I wanted to figure out what was going on and how these storylines were going to come together. Then about halfway through the book there is a huge plot twist that made me want to go back and start the book over! Did I miss something??!!!! Towards the end, there was another twist that I had pretty much guessed was coming. The ending was gripping though! I will be recommending this title to all my patrons that ask for an exciting thriller!

Brilliant! This was by far my favorite read of 2024. I dont think much can top this one. I was guessing the whole way thru this and I still could not figure it out until the end. Even the twist had a twist!
I love this author, and I think this is her best work so far. I will be recommending this one to everyone I come into contact with. The writing style was perfect, and the story flowed together beautifully. This one is a page turner and a pretty fast paced thriller.

Caitlyn is a nurse taking care of a young comatose patient. She becomes close to the patient's parents and grows a caring relationship. However, they seem to have secrets, and so does their daughter. Everyone is talking about the recent killings in the community and whether they are linked to the unconscious girl. Who is killing young girls, and will Caitlyn be next? While she is trying to raise her daughter, deal with her ex-husband, and be a nurse. Sometimes, she forgets to watch out for herself. Could the killer be watching her? Are the parents perfect? Why does her daughter suddenly hate her, and is she safe from the killer? This is an intense mystery and keeps you guessing.
I was hooked in the first chapter. Mary Kubica has outdone herself in this book! The ending will make you question everything! I couldn't put it down.

3.75 rounded up
This book was very captivating from the early pages. Trigger warnings for physical abuse, suicide (which were not included in the prologue). she's not sorry follows a nurse, Meghan, as she begins to care for a patient in the intensive care unit. Meghan is recently divorced and single parenting a teenage daughter, which she would do anything for except tell her the truth. Follow these characters as they find out the truth about who is really living in their community, and whose safety is at risk.

This book has multiple untrustworthy characters and felt like there were 2 concurrent storylines, both with multiple plot twists which I thoroughly enjoyed. I always enjoy Mary Kubrica's work, and this was no exception. Would recommend as a fast-paced thriller.

4.5 stars. She's Not Sorry is a SOLID thriller by Mary Kubica. This is my first read from Kubica, but it will not be my last. This was filled with twists and turns and I loved how unpredictable everything was. I also loved how fast paced it was. I was invested in this book from the first chapter (actually, from the prologue even!). But I think the best part about this book was the atmosphere Kubica created. I think the thing that made this even more suspenseful and scary was how realistic it was. Because what woman isn't extra aware of her surroundings when walking home alone at night? I also loved the hospital setting and kudos to Kubica who clearly did her research in that regard. I don't want to say too much more because this might be one of those that is best to go into blind, but I fully recommend it (but if you're sensitive to certain triggers, I recommend checking those out before starting).

Thank you so much to Kubica, Harlequin Trade Publishing/ Park Row and netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade for the chance to review this as an advanced readers copy! This is my opinion on this novel and only my own!

She’s Not Sorry follows Meghan, an ICU nurse who is assigned to care for a new female patient. The patient is fighting for her life after attempting to jump off a bridge. During this situation Meghan is also dealing with the fact that her daughter is missing.

I really enjoyed this novel however it was a bit to follow at times. The plot twists were sometimes predictable. I did enjoy this novel and would read further novels by Mary Kubica. I wish the ending did not feel so rushed and was less sudden.

Meghan is an ICU nurse and when a patient comes into her care in a coma after jumping off a bridge, questions come into play if she really jumped or if someone pushed her. Meghan finds herself getting too close to this patient and her family, and it may end up affecting her and her daughter’s life more than Meghan would like.

This book definitely left me wanting to keep reading to find out what happened, and the twists did not disappoint. If you’re looking for a fast paced thriller, She’s Not Sorry is for you. Looking forward to see what Mary Kubica has next up her sleeves.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely LOVED this book! As the resident thriller girlie in my book club, it can be hard to find a story with a twist that surprises me. Well, consider me thoroughly surprised and entertained. Chilling, spooky, and makes you question who you're rooting for at every turn - this is a sure to be a hit!

She's Not Sorry
BY Mary Kubica

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (4 out of 5)

Publishing date: 4/2/2024

This was a fun read!

Mary Kubica did a really good job at creating a eery, stressful vibe.

The book as 2 different "dilemmas" going on, and our MC (Meghan) is involved in both.

Meghan is an ICU nurse, and her most recent patient, Caitlin, is in a coma after jumping off a bridge in a suicide attempt.  The family is trying to figure out what led Caitlin to suicide, when a witness comes forward saying they saw someone PUSH Caitlin off the bridge and she didn't jump...

Meghan is also trying to keep herself and her daughter safe from an unknown man who is assaulting women at night.

I was pretty sucked into the story! It held my interest, and I really wanted to know the truth.  The twists were fun! I was shocked with one, and the other felt a bit more obvious.

However, I feel like I was left with unanswered questions. I was waiting for some of the loose ends to be tied up, but the book ended, and I wasn't given all the answers. This is what brought my rating down to 4 stars. Bummer!

However, Ido recommends you read this one next month!

Thanks @netgalley and @parkrowbooks for the chance to read this one early! Enjoyed it 🙂

Mry Kubica has done it again. Exciting fearsome and surprising story. Meaghan, a critical care nurse in ICU department. In comes a woman, who supposedly tried to commit a suicide. In comes the parents who seem somewhat odd, no tears. not too many emotions. Meaghan is a nurse who does some private "investigation" on her own. She has a 16 year old daughter Sienna, ex-husband Ben.
Then comes Nat, an old highschool friend, who seems to be abused by her husband. She is returning to him, after he begs her, and promises to change. Like many abused women Nat also returns. Comes in Meaghan, trying to befriend her, the tell each other secrets, as they seem have trusty friendship.
Meagan worries about Sienna, her daughter because the city is quite active with muggings, rapings and other violence.
By this time I am sure something is not right, but cannot figure out. Luke, another friend is kind and helping Meaghan with her fears.
There is Jackson, Caitlin's (the suicide attempt lady) brother who also lies. Meaghans world is full of suspicions, lies, fears, walks alone, fearing that someone is following.
Things turn to a twisting rollercoaster with Meaghan's life around her. Possible murder, police questioning, her secrets reveled, ransom demands, patient's personality comes to life. Meaghan is devastated and worried that her own secrets will come to life.
More twists comes to life, more desperate actions will happen. Part two turns the story around and tells what was happening before. I have had my suspicions, only to change them to something else, or someone else. We will get towards the end of the book and for me it was such a surprise which I never could have predicted. I expect this book becoming a real popular thriller.
