wow wow wow! this is one of her best books. the twists and turns kept coming! i thought this was a great thriller!

I want to thank everyone for this early copy of Mary Kubica's new book, She's Not Sorry.

Unfortunately this book just didn't do it for me, and I wound up DNFing. I found the characters unengaging, and the plot slightly boring. I was never pulled in like her other books, and honestly, I'm a bit disappointed because I was really looking forward to this one, as I've loved so many of her others.

Very twisty! It’s hard to give a review on this book because saying what I want to say will be a spoiler! This was good, full of suspense and real twists! After finishing reading this, I was left with just WOW!

Meghan is recently divorced and learning how to juggle raising a teenage girl alone and working to support her family. She is a nurse and has seen the good and bad in the world. When a new patient arrives in a coma and a witness says she was pushed, Meghan gets a little too close to the patient and the drama that is her family. What happened to Caitlin on the bridge? What is going on with Meghan’s daughter?

She’s Not Sorry is a stand-alone mystery that does start a little slow, but then the last third of the book twists and turns and goes in many unexpected ways. Events that seem trivial when introduced turn out to be important to the plot and Kubica brings everything together seamlessly. The book ended up being an exciting read and I suggest not starting the last few chapters at night, otherwise, you might end up staying up to finish the book.

Wow. This was one I literally couldn’t put down. The twists kept on coming and didn’t disappoint. The sinister vibes and unthinkable situations were all together consuming. I loved every minute of it! Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a nurse, I love reading books about nurses. It's so easy in an ICU setting to get close to patients, but this book had my eyes bugging out of my head. There is a line, and Meghan definitely crossed it, but I do know it happens. This book was thrilling for sure and I finished it in record time.

Taking care of patients is a skill. Taking care of patients who have dangerous pasts is yet another skill.

This book gave me literal nightmares last night! What a nonstop thrilling experience. I was at the edge of my seat the entire 330 pages. I gasped out loud, I had to check if my doors were locked and I was trusting nobody! My first Mary Kubica book, but certainly not my last.

She’s Not Sorry follows Meghan, a single mom and ICU nurse. A patient is brought into the hospital and is in a coma as a result of her injuries. Meghan is charged with her care and starts to question everything. A witness comes forward revealing shocking details about what really happened to her patient, and as Meghan gets more invested in her patients care she realizes her life and her daughters may now be in jeopardy.

An addictive, twisty, jaw dropping thriller that will make you question everything! I absolutely love Mary Kubica and she can totally blow you away with a story!

In the latest psychological mystery from Mary Kubica, She’s Not Sorry, we meet Meghan — an excellent nurse and doting mother just assigned to care for a patient who jumped from a bridge and barely survived, Caitlin.

Meghan cares for Caitlin as she would any other patient and comforts Caitlin’s parents as they come to terms with the fact that their estranged daughter may have harmed herself.

In the midst of this, Meghan’s Chicago neighborhood has experienced a string of violent attacks — all these attacks appear to be the work of one perpetrator targeting women who live alone. And, as if that weren’t enough, one of Meghan’s high school friends comes back into her life needing support.

As new details come out about Caitlin and how her attempted un-a-living might actually be an attempted murder, Meghan struggles to keep the lines between nurse and patient clear. Her fear of the recent neighborhood attacks is also seeping into her state of mind and her resurrected friendship is eating up a lot of her time and headspace.

I love Mary Kubica. I read most of her back catalog as the books were being published and honestly put some of her books up there with the female authors I consider the best at mystery/thriller like Gillian Flynn and Paula Hawkins. Not every book is a certified banger but she swings for the fences. And she tries stuff that I haven’t read in other books. Her first three books — The Good Girl, Pretty Baby, and Don’t You Cry — have moments of genuine chills.

Make no mistake — her books are not always easy reads. Her prose sometimes is a little more stilted and her subject matter is not for the faint of heart. But where some authors use these topics for shock factor and clickbait (or read-bait)… cough*Karin Slaughter*cough I find that Mary handles these topics more delicately, discretely, and respectfully.

This novel isn’t my favorite by her — check out 2021’s Local Woman Missing — but it does further cement her in my mind as a must-buy author. There were some logic jumps that I had to make as a reader that didn’t always sit well with me and some asks to feel specific ways about specific characters that also just kind of didn’t land for me.

The story is still interesting and this book is written in a way that’s a bit different from Kubica’s other books so absolute kudos to her for trying something. It’s not going to hit with every reader — I think that’s totally fine.

If you love the mystery/thriller genre though, I do think this is worth a read. She’s Not Sorry gets a 3.5 stars from me.

What an amazing ride this story was! My very first by this author and certainly won’t be my last. This one is a page turner. So much so that at one point I was hiding under my blanket and closing my living room curtains. Everyone knows a blanket is adequate protection from the scaries-right?!!

She’s not Sorry is thought provoking and exciting from beginning to end. Our main character, Meghan, is a nurse and one of her patients is a woman that has jumped off the bridge….or has she? There are some seriously sinister characters and everyone became a suspect at some point. Then THE twist came that I didn’t see coming, and that’s the mark of a great thriller. This one not only surprised me it gave me anxiety for the main character. When you read this book you’ll know what I mean. I kept telling Meghan the MC “please don’t walk home anymore, just take Uber!” This thriller is the sole reason I made a B&N trip yesterday. I was able to pick up some more Mary Kubica books and I can’t wait to be scared again! Well done and I highly recommend you read it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Being a long-time fan of Mary Kubica's work, I was very excited to receive this ARC. Just the Nicest Couple and Local Woman Missing are two of my favorites, and she's become an auto buy author.

I was completely invested reading the prologue, but it then turned into a slow burn suspense for a good half of the book. There are multiple weaving storylines, which, at times, I found it too be too much. But once everything started unfolding, I was wrapped up in the well executed mysteries and trying to put the puzzle pieces together.

There's tention and suspense all through the story and some pretty good plot twists I didn't see coming.

The author has delivered a fast paced and deliciously wicked tale. The characters are well rounded and come across as believable, whether you love them or hate them. Full of twists and turns, it will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page, trying to anticipate where this story will go. A surprising twist at the end to give the story a very satisfying end.

Mary Kubica is a master at plot twists.

Everyone needs to separate their work life from their home life. This is especially important for those in the medical field. However, for Meghan Michaels, it is almost impossible to stop thinking of the young woman (Caitlin) in a coma brought into her unit with a traumatic brain injury after jumping from a bridge.

Caitlin has not been in a close relationship with her parents, although they maintain this facade as they stand by her bed and hold vigil at the hospital. How could Caitlin's relationship with her family threaten that of Meghan and her teenage daughter? Only Mary Kubica could provide the twist you will not see coming!

She's Not Sorry was my first book by Mary Kubica, and I binged it! I was invested from the start, with the attention-grabbing prologue, the intricate weaving of multiple storylines, the intriguing plot, and the mounting tension all culminating in a sleepless night of reading. But it was a night well spent!

Set in Chicago, the story revolves around Meghan, an ICU nurse, and the mystery surrounding her unconscious patient. The patient's supposed accident might not be so accidental after all. Exciting and well-paced, Kubica's skillful misdirection and the way she built a sense of impending danger kept me on the edge of my seat. I was thrilled by the unexpected twists and the shady characters, all of which kept me guessing! I felt genuine heart-pounding fear for Meghan a few times. I got so wrapped up in the unsettling atmosphere of the story. Each chapter ended on some cliffhanger, making this unputdownable, especially the closer I got to the end. The medical elements in the book were well-done and more than just a backdrop, as they helped illustrate aspects of Meghan's character. An entertaining read and one I would recommend to thriller lovers!

She’s Not Sorry was my first Mary Kubica novel and it had my attention from the very first page! What a story?!?!? Just when I had one twist kinda of figured out, BOOM! After hot me that O wasn’t expecting. I really enjoyed the main character and all the relationships she had within the book as well. I felt that she was very relatable. I would recommend not only to any Thriller, fansbut any reader this book in a heartbeat.

I absolutely loved this thriller! Just when you think you have it figured out, another plot twist! And the ending … I might need to read this again because there are so many Easter eggs.

Another great book by Mary Kubica!

Listen, the main plot twist was perfection. But, then all of the unanswered questions have me like WTF. Most everything is up for interpretation. Like if this book was a conspiracy theory it would be PERFECTION.

Read this if you are looking for a fast paced, plot twisting, edge of your seat, thriller!

How do I even begin to describe the ride that is She's Not Sorry? This book is exactly what I looked for in a thriller. It was fast-paced, plot twisting, and at the end it gave me a conclusion that left me wanting more!

Mary Kubica write about Meghan, a nurse and mother, who has a lot going on. The book starts off right in the beginning by introducing several characters and telling us different stories about them all. I can't say much without giving away any spoilers, but Kubica's writing about three different stories was GOOD. We got mini stories from different characters in between and I really enjoyed it. I felt like each chapter was an episode of a tv series that I just had to binge watch in one sitting.

Throughout the book, there were also multiple storylines that were executed really well that for me. I really liked the joining of all stories at the end and there were very minor plot holes.There were many things I didn't see coming, and that is EXACTLY what I want in a thriller. I want the suspense and for the reveal to shook me, and that is exactly what this book did.

I really enjoyed this! The story moved at a good pace and I didn’t get the first twist, but I guessed the second one from the beginning. Not my favorite of this author’s but I would recommend it.
