Thank you netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I am a huge Mary Kubica fan. I was so excited to get to read her latest book early!

In true form, she gives a lot of twists and turns. A few times I thought I had it all figured out and then nope, I was wrong.

The book is definitely a page turner - there were a few things that fell flat and could have been fleshed out a bit more, but overall it was a great read.

Looking forward to her next one !

Wow what did I just read! So many twists and turns my head was spinning. A creative and bold plot. The lines of hero and villain a more blurred in this creepy who dun it. The characters are solid and likeable. The story flows at a great speed. A page turner that will knock the breath out of you with each new shocking twist. I loved it this one!

Mary Kubica can be hit or miss for me, and this one was an absolute hit!

While the first half starts off as a slow burn as it introduces key characters, their backgrounds, and insights, the second half ramps up and takes you for a wild ride! Admittedly, during the first half I was wondering where the narrative was headed. Nevertheless, the story held its grip on my interest throughout, and by the time I reached around 60%, I was absolutely captivated, unable to put the book down or go to bed until I finished it. There are so many twists! Some were pretty predictable, some were mind-blowing.

Structured with multiple storylines under a single point of view, we spend a good bit of time in the protagonist’s mind. I felt the storylines were woven together well and that was satisfying.

Please keep in mind this review is based on an advanced reading copy and reading is subjective :)

Many thanks to Harper Collins/Harlequin Publishing and NetgGalley for my DLC

Meghan is working as a nurse and raising her daughter on her own. She diligently takes care of her patients but doesn't get overly involved in their story until an unconscious patient is admitted to the ICU after jumping from a bridge. A witness comes forward who claims the patient didn't jump but instead was pushed. Meghan becomes emotionally invested in the patient and her family which puts her and her daughter at risk. This book contains so many twists, you won't be able to put it down.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I LOVE Mary Kubica. This book was no exception. The book follows an ICU nurse, Meghan, who is a divorced mom to a teenager daughter. At work, a new patient on the unit named Caitlin, jumped from a bridge in attempt to take her own life. Meghan can’t understand why, but something about this patient is different. A witness comes later and says Caitlin was pushed and didn’t jump. Meghan begins to fear for her safety and wonders if this might lead to her and her daughter becoming victims.

I loved this book! As an ICU nurse, it was interesting to read parts of the book taking place in the hospital. I give this book 5 stars like I always do with Mary’s books. Clever, fast paced, and creative.

I saw so many good reviews for this book and was definitely excited to start reading this one.
We meet Meghan who is a recent single mother raising her teenage daughter, Sienna, with her ex husband, Ben and is also a Nurse. While navigating those challenges one day a patient, Caitlin , is admitted to the ICU after a suicide attempt in extremely bad condition. Suddenly it’s all anyone can talk about and all Meghan can focus on. It doesn’t help that she starts to form a close bond with the family, has a history of these tragedies, and to top it off there is a violent male rapist in the loose killing women in her neighborhood. Soon the question is, did Caitlyn actually try to enter her own life did she get pushed with someone else involved? Did her family know things that they aren’t sharing someone knows the truth, and it is going to come out. Does that sound like a whole bunch going on??? Because it definitely was!
This book was definitely fast paced and kept me reading, however I did guess a lot of the twists and turns. My biggest complaint is there were SO many loose ends at the conclusion of this book I found myself extremely frustrated. There were so many plot lines, character stories, plot holes, and things that I wanted answers to that came out throughout the book, and in the end it was as if she forgot that she even mentioned those things none of it was answered those characters seem to have disappeared, and it was extremely frustrating, because there were no answers. There was no conclusion nothing was wrapped up, and even with the characters that were wrapped up, I still was confused by some of it.
Overall, I found this book to be very fast paced, and intriguing and a nice read, but the ending and the Locker of ending for many of the parts left a bad taste in my mouth which lowered my rating. 3.5

I want to thank the author, Netgalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and Park Row Sienna for an ARC of this book!

Mary Kubica is one of my favorite authors, so I was so excited to get the opportunity to read her upcoming release, "She's Not Sorry.."

Meghan Michaels is a single mom to a teenage daughter and working as a full time ICU nurse. During her next shift, a patient named Caitlin in a coma with a traumatic brain injury is added to her caseload. Meghan learns that Caitlin jumped from a bridge and becomes invested in figuring out her motive. To add to the chaos, Meghan reunites with a high school friend at her divorce group meeting who is also going through trauma.

When a witness comes forward with details about the fall and other women in the town are being attacked at night, Meghan begins to worry that either she or her daughter will become victims themselves. This was an easy read with lots of twist and turns and an unexpected ending
Thank you to Mary Kubica, Harlequin Trade Publishing, Park Row and #NetGalley for the ARC and opportunity to read and review. Looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of my own!

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for the chance to review this book. Meghan Michael’s a nurse in ICU is caring for a patient who jumped off a bridge but survived, has an ex husband and teenage daughter she’s dealing with, there’s a man who is attacking women at night, and she meets an old high school friend in a divorce group whom she takes under her wing. Too much going on? Yes, definitely.
I found more negatives than positives reading this book. I thought the prologue wasn’t necessary because you don’t get to that part of the story until much further in the book. What was the purpose of it? The author repeats many descriptions in the book that really only need be stated once such as the 30 bed setup in the ICU broken into ten units. That’s mentioned at least twice, as is many other descriptions. There are two main plot lines with a smaller plot line about her ex husband, and the two together don’t really mesh. The author seems to try too hard at times such as the scene where the girl’s father walks her home. Are we supposed to think he’s menacing or another red herring? Lastly I didn’t like any of the characters therefore didn't care and wasn’t invested in what happened to them. All in all a mishmash of a book.

Kubica skillfully crafts an irresistibly binge-worthy thriller, redeeming herself after last year's letdown. The story executes a brilliant misdirect that had me questioning everything I read, accompanied by unexpected twists. However, it falls short of a perfect five stars due to lingering unanswered character plot lines, leaving me with the feeling that some suspicious characters served as red herrings without a clear purpose.

I love this author, and this book is another winner. It's a dark and twisty thriller with a lot going on and a lot of questions raised, most but not all being answered to my satisfaction. I felt it was a little slow at times, but that's being nitpicky. Overall, I was invested in the story and characters. I know this review is short on details, but you can read that in the synopsis. Personally, I like to go into a thriller blind and let the author's words reveal the story. Thanks to NetGalley for the review copy.

I loved this thriller!! It was very dark and twisty but I couldn’t put it down. It kept me guessing the whole book. Big trigger warnings: there was a lot of talk about suicide and some talk about domestic violence.

I love Mary Kubica but this one was very, very slow to me. There were some major twists that made me feel like the slow pace had a good payoff but overall this book was too slow for my liking.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.I love this author and this book did not disappoint! The main character was well developed and relatable. The story is set in the hospital with a patient but that patient has an interesting story of her own! I loved every twist and turn! I was entertained from beginning to end!

An ICU nurse accidentally uncovers a patient’s frightening past.
Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims.

Meghan Michaels is a single mom to a teenage daughter and working as a full time nurse. A patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma with a traumatic brain injury, having jumped from a bridge to the train tracks below. Then witness comes forward with shocking details about the fall, claiming Caitlin was pushed, but by whom and why? Meghan has always tried to stay emotionally detached from her patients, but this time she gets too close and only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims.

I was hooked from the start with this story. Mary Kubica has outdone herself agin. Intricately weaving a mysterious tale about a young woman in coma, her family grieving her condition, and a mysterious stranger who keeps visiting her in hospital. Countered only by Meghan helping a long forgotten high school friend with a predator on the loose in her neighborhood who seems to be preying on women at night. This story is has a dark and creepy feeling that makes you feel uneasy and suspicious of everyone. The build up to the shocking conclusion will keep you reading all night long.

With real life situations in this book, you can easily see how things played out can happen in real life. There are many twists that I did not see coming, until they were revealed. At times I did feel Meghan was a bit gullible! The beginning was slow for me but overall a great thriller that you won’t be able to puzzle!

I am always excited when Mary Kubica has a new thriller available, as I never know what she is going to come up with next. Her latest, She's Not Sorry, is deliciously creepy and I couldn't stop worrying about Meghan whenever I had to get back to real life.

There is a lot happening in this story, between a patient in the ICU with a questionable background, the reappearance of a high school friend, and someone attacking women who are home alone. There's also a part that connects to the prologue and it's so disturbing (especially since it has been happening to people in real life). Just when I thought I knew what was happening, I would be surprised again and totally thrown for a loop.

I'm not giving spoilers, but this novel left me with a lot of questions. Some things still seemed open ended and I felt like there was one part of the story that didn't end up going anywhere when it could have been explored more. I'm glad to discuss this with others who have already read it.

Overall, a worthwhile read and I already look forward to whatever Mary has up her sleeve for her next novel (and this one isn't even released yet)!

There were a ton of twists and turns in the book! I enjoyed reading it. A ton of layers among the characters that was like a jigsaw puzzle at the end!
