Such an incredible and addictive page-turner; very eerie and creepy- found myself looking over my shoulder at times; well-developed characters with compelling relationships; a little slow to start but then I was on the edge of my seat; the first big plot twist going into Part 2 had my jaw on the floor; the second plot twist was a little more predictable but I still never knew who to trust; a truly gripping thriller
Special thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing/Park Row and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love to start the new year with a good thrill. This novel is amazingly constructed, and even though something nagged at the corner of my brain from early on in the story, I never saw this huge twist coming. That’s just brilliant! There’s only a subplot which felt could have been left out, but other than that, I really loved this one. Thanks to NetGalley and Park Row Books for the advance copy.

Thank you @netgalley and @marykubica for letting me read this ARC of She’s Not Sorry. This was my first book of the year and it was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me. Starting the year out strong 💪
Meghan is a divorced, single mom and an ICU nurse. She finds herself the primary nurse for Caitlin, a patient who survived a su!c!de attempt. But things are not always how they seem. As Meghan spends shift after shift taking care of Caitlin and gets to know her parents, it becomes apparent that there is something more sinister afoot. With a serial r@p!st on the loose and someone from Meghan’s past appearing in her life, the lines between Meghan’s professional and personal life begin to blur.
I want to make it clear that as an ICU nurse I hate reading fiction medical books. That’s hate with a capital HATE. But I truly couldn’t have been more impressed with this book. The author truly did her research and made all of the scenes that took place in the ICU as accurate and believable as possible!! I was so impressed by this 👏👏 it wasn’t at all cringy and she also showed how attached you become to patients and their families the more you take care of them

Meghan has had a rough year. She's just been through a divorce from her husband who she'd been with since school, and she's had to manage moving to a smaller apartment and raising her teen daughter. Need I say more? Then beyond that, there have been several sexual assaults in her neighborhood which has left her paranoid to both walk home herself and to leave her daughter alone for any length of time.
When a woman arrives in the ICU with a traumatic brain injury, Meghan can't help but get involved in the situation. Who is she? Was this woman assaulted by the same man that is terrorizing her neighborhood? And is her family telling the truth about their relationship with her?
She's Not Sorry is a fantastic and memorable read, just like all of Kubica's books. The narrative jumps around a bit in time, but the literary device definitely adds depth and intrigue to the story.
Another element of Kubica's writing that I LOVE, is that being from the same town as her, she will often mention geographical or historical landmarks, or just attractions in the Chicago area that are recognizable. I love being able to really visualize the character's settings as I read.
Special thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for an advanced e-galley in exchange for my honest review. This one is out April 2 and is a MUST READ for Kubica's fans and thriller readers in general.

Thank you Net Galley and Park Row Books for this ARC copy of She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica.
Mary is the Queen of thrillers! She is now an auto-buy author me for me!
She’s Not Sorry had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I have not had a book take my by surprise by the twist in a very long time! The twist had me unable to sleep and I literally could not breathe for the last 30% of the book!
I feel like so many thrillers are predictable but Mary knows how to lead you down a path and you not even realize where it’s going!
If you are looking for your next thriller, I highly recommend She’s Not Sorry which comes out April 2nd, 2024.

4.5 🌟
First of all, thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this ARC.
This is my second book read by Mary Kubica and my favorite so far. The book started off a bit slow for my liking but definitely picked up as I kept reading. There were so many characters with different storylines that ended up connecting in some way. It definitely kept me guessing the whole time, and each time, I was wrong about what i thought i knew. The ending had so many twists that I didn't see coming at all. I had to re read things to make sure I read it correctly cause what... once you start this book, you won't wanna put it down.

This was T W I S T Y! Def a major page turner and kept me guessing til the end (and after). I was a bit confused at times and had some unanswered questions but maybe that's just the point. I liked this better than her last release!

Wow! What a twisty turny roller coaster ride and I loved every second!
Meghan is an ICU nurse in charge of a coma patient who fell from
A bridge. There are so many secrets regarding this lady and just when you think you have it figured out, you don’t.
Written as only this author can do, be prepared to turn the pages into the night !

Meghan Michaels is an ER nurse who is taking care of a comatose patient who was possibly pushed off a bridge. Creepy stuff begins happening to Meghan and a serial killer is targeting women. This was a whirlwind of a read full of twists and turns possibly the best I’ve read this past year. Thanks NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this ARC that will be released April 2, 2024!

Meghan is trying to balance being a single mom to her teenage daughter and working as a full time Critical Care Nurse. When she’s assigned to Caitlin, a comatose patient with multiple injuries after jumping from a bridge, Meghan finds herself entangled in Caitlin’s life and family. Was she pushed and if so, why and by whom? The closer she comes to answers, the more she realizes she and her daughter could be the next victims.
It’s no surprise that I really enjoyed a book that centers around an ICU nurse, hospital setting AND a thriller. It’s as close as it gets to my job in the ER so I could relate to the tidbits of her nurse life. The medical treatments and jargon are also very accurate which I appreciate when it comes to storytelling; Kubica certainly did her research!
When we get to the end of part 1, a HUGE twist hits and it changes the WHOLE narrative!! 😳🫣 Then I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. But the twists don’t stop there; the last 20% is unputdownable! I really enjoyed that there are a few plot lines which keep you guessing. Are they connected? The story is fast paced and very well-executed. I did predict one of the reveals but it was still heart pounding until the end. I also liked how the ending can be interpreted in more than one way.
At times, it got a little repetitive and I have unanswered questions but it’s still a solid thriller in my book!

My first Mary Kubica read and I will be reading again. Relatable main character and suspenseful book. It did take a while
To get into but once it picked up I couldn’t put down. Will recommend.

Reads very quickly - very suspenseful! Multiple storylines and timelines going on. Couldn't figure out the twist until the very end - so that's a plus for me!

I love Mary Kubica thrillers and She is Not Sorry does not disappoint! Meghan is a single mom to Sienna and an ICU nurse. Her newest patient is Caitlin, a comatose woman who survived a suicide attempt jumping from a bridge…or was she pushed? Rich, flawed characters drive this well developed twisty tale. Many red herrings will keep you guessing.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of She’s Not Sorry.
WOW! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This may be Mary Kubica’s best work! There are so many plot twists that you still don’t have things figured out by the end! Meghan Michaels is everything you want in a main character: relatable, human, and flawed. Without spoiling anything, Kubica’s approach to telling this story is superb.

Everything I’ve read by this author is so good! This newest book is the best one yet! This story revolves around an ICU nurse who stumbles onto a lot of drama when her new patient comes to the hospital after jumping off a bridge! I can’t wait to tell everyone to buy this book! What a rollercoaster!

She's Not Sorry follows Meghan, a recently divorced single mother working as an ICU nurse. Her and her teenage daughter live in a less than ideal area of Chicago and Meghan is on high alert as there has been a man attacking women in their homes. Both her and her daughter are home alone frequently so this builds the tension in the story right off the bat. Other than serving that purpose this particular story line did not do much else for me and was not connected to the other main twist in the novel. I was also able to guess who the attacker was (which isn't a negative or positive for me, but the second twist was a lot trickier to try and tease apart early).
Meghan is assigned to care for Caitlin in the ICU, a woman who is in a coma after an apparent suicide attempt where she jumped from a bridge to the train tracks below. Meghan is hesitant at first to be caring for her as her sister committed suicide and she feels to close to the situation, but quickly forms a bond with Caitlin's family while also casting doubt that it was a suicide as there are multiple shady characters hanging around Caitlin's hospital room. As the suicide gets called into question and Caitlin's past starts to be reveled, Kubica takes us on a twisty journey to the end. This story line I really enjoyed and I did not see all the connections and twists coming. Overall I would recommend giving this book a read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the advanced e-copy of this book.

This book had me on the edge of my seat today - I want to reread it already to see if I can spot the twists!
Meghan, an ICU nurse, and her 16-year-old daughter Sienna live in a small apartment in a sketchy area of Chicago where there have been a string of break-ins and sexual assaults of women on their way home.
Meghan’s latest patient Caitlin is in a coma after falling off a bridge onto the train tracks. Meghan struggles with this patient more than most due to her sister’s similar suicide. This, paired with her constant fear of going home alone to her apartment with a predator out there, and recent divorce, has Meghan desperate for friendship.
Enter her high school friend, Nat, who she meets by chance at a divorce support group. Nat’s recently left her husband due to domestic violence and abuse and appeals to Meghan’s compassionate side, letting Nat stay with her.
The twists and turns to see how all of these seemingly separate storylines merge was very impressive and well paced. I really loved the story and already want to reread to see if I can catch onto things that weren’t revealed until later in the story. 4.5 gripping stars!
Thanks to Net Galley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for giving me an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
