I’ve read a few of Mary Kubica’s thrillers before, but this one fell a little short. She’s Not Sorry is a very slow burn thriller with a lot of twists and turns. Meghan is an ICU nurse who is caring for a comatose woman while navigating raising her daughter post- divorce.
I really loved the main character Meghan- she was grounded and selfless which is rare to see in s thriller! However, there are just way too many plot lines in this book and none of them are resolved until the very end. I appreciate the author trying to create this interactive web of plot lines, but it was honestly confusing and hard to believe.

Mary Kubica's She's Not Sorry is a mind blowing novel about a nurse with a secret. The novel starts off with a rush and continues on a wild, thrilling ride. You will be unable to put this book down The twists in the story just keep coming and you're left stunned at the resolution of the story. This book is a must read if you like thrillers. you will not be disappointed.
Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin books for the advanced copy of the book. The opinions are my own.

She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica
⭐⭐⭐⭐
📚 The best kind of twist is one that absolutely stuns me, but when I look back at the story, I realize I could have put it all together with the clues the author gave me. The main twist in this story was THAT good. Meghan, an ICU nurse, finds herself tangled in multiple storylines: caring for an attempted suicide patient in the ICU, helping an old friend from high school who is being abused, worrying about the serial rapist stalking her town, caring for her angsty teenage daughter. There are many (maybe one too many) subplots in this novel, and they don't all connect in the end like I had assumed they would, but wow, was this a fun read!
💊 In the novel, Meghan recounts doing CPR on patients in her role as an ICU nurse:
"A code blue is not a gentle process. CPR is violent. Bad things happen to patients in an often vain attempt to save lives. Of the people who go into cardiac arrest in the hospital, most don't live, and of those who do, many have a permanent neurologic disability and few live meaningful lives." This is so spot on. There is only about a twenty percent survival rate for in-hospital resuscitation attempts. Thirty percent of CPR recipients end up with fractured bones/ribs. And only roughly ten percent of those patients end up leaving the hospital alive.

Meghan is such a realistic character. Everything she does, a real person would do.
I tend to try to call out the ending of a story I read. However with this one, I definitely didn't see this one coming. There was just one unexpected outcome. There were unexpected occasions throughout the whole book. Very good read.

So many twists and turns. This book held me captive the whole time and shocked me more than once. Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and Mary Kubica for the early release ARC.

This was a super quick read! Nothing in this story is what you’d think. I was worried for most of the book, waiting for what I knew was about to happen! And I still wasn’t prepared for the twisty turns this thriller took!

I love Mary Kubica, and She's Not Sorry might be one of her best novels yet! There were so many non-stop twists, and the clinical and eerie hospital setting was the perfect fall thriller for me. There are so many plot threads that come together in the end, and are absolutely amazing! Such addictive writing, you won't want to put this one down.

Loved Mary Kubica’s newest mystery! It’s full of twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the end. Her books never disappoint and She’s Not Sorry is my new favorite!

Another twisty story where you can’t trust anyone. Mary Kubica is one of my favorite authors and this latest novel did not disappoint. If thrillers that have multiple story lines are your jam, then this book is for you.
There were a few unfinished story lines with a few of the characters that I wish would have been addressed, maybe they will be in the final release? Other than that I really enjoyed reading this and it was a solid 4 stars!

This was fantastic! She’s Not Sorry follows Meghan who is grieveing her marriage, navigating a teenager, and forever trying to fix everyone else before herself. With the weight of the world on her shoulders and never ending reports of local attacks will she be able keep her sanity?

This story is a wild ride with so many twists and turns it will make your head spin. Meghan Michaels is a divorced mother and ICU nurse. She is caring for a patient who fell from, a bridge. Meghan is close to her co-workers especially another nurse Luke. The story moves from the past to the present piecing together Megan's story. Along with Megan's story, there is someone in the city, attacking women.
As the story unfolds, the tension increases keeping me on the edge of my seat until the shocking ending. A must-read for suspense and Mary Kubica fans.

Very slow burn. I feel if certain information would have came to light more towards the beginning of the book, that this would have been more interesting of a read and more of a thriller. Only that last maybe 100 pages were interesting and it seemed the author had to tie up the loose ends very quickly. I wasn't capitavated but if you are a fan of her books it might be worth the read for you.

4.5 ★ Say hello to the thriller that just pulled me out of an oncoming slump. Well-written, fast-paced, short chapters and no clue how everything is going to weave together = perfection. This grabs your attention from the opening scene and leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire ride. Not to mention, the twists and turns this took rocked me.
Half a star off only because I feel like we have some unfinished business with a couple of characters and I'm a girlie that needs answers.

Mary did it again! This book contained everything that I look for in a thriller- likeable characters who you don’t know if you can trust, a secret backstory, and a jaw dropping twist (or two!). This book was atmospheric and kept me on edge. I couldn’t put this one down!

This was a fantastic read. It kept me captivated the whole time. There were some shocking and unexpected twists and turns. Definitely recommend!

I have been a Mary Kubica fan for quite some time but this book definitely takes the cake. I was hooked from the very first chapter. Throughout the entire book I was constantly trying to guess and pinpoint what’s going to happen next. Once I hit 3/4 of the way through, each chapter I was getting hit with unpredictable and gasp-worthy twists one after another. Now having reached the end I’m still in awe of her plot twists, character development and the relationships between the main characters. I could have never predicted the ending, even now knowing how it ends, I STILL would not be able to pick up on any clues to help me guess the twists that were to come. This book will have me thinking about it days after I’ve finished. Well done Mary Kubica, once again!!! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this fantastic ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. This new release from Mary Kubica is full of twists and turns, but I can tell it still needs a lot more editing and I’d be curious to see what changes are made ahead of the pub date in April. I do not think it makes sense that Meghan pushed Nat/Caitlin or that she entirely killed her and that she then sociopathically never is held accountable or holds herself accountable (she ultimately admits what Luke did was worse than what his abusive father did… well what about you dude?). And then we learn absolutely nothing about her after the fact. There was no explanation for the roommate telling Meghan to watch out for Caitlin’s parents, nothing came out of that. There was no explanation for why Caitlin sought Meghan out to begin with. It is more than bizarre that Meghan would mistake someone at least ~15 years younger than her for an old high school friend, unless there should ultimately be some sort of explanation about appearance similarities. The story is about Caitlin and then all of a sudden it’s not. I think the story was definitely addicting and has great potential but I’m certainly wondering what the final product will be like!

This book was so twisty and thrilling, I could not put it down! Old friends crossing paths and crazy hospital happenings kept me on my toes. Will be recommending this novel to all my thriller lover friends!!

At first I wasn’t really into it. It started pretty slow and I think it just bothered me that I wasn’t catching on to anything. Well I kept reading and then everything just unfolded about 70% through. I DID not see that double twist coming at all!! Really enjoyed and loved this one and highly recommend it! Im going to skip giving a summary on this one because I feel like it really just needs to be read going in blind!

I have been a fan of Mary Kubica since I read Pretty Baby years ago. However, She's Not Sorry does not live up to the magic of Pretty Baby. In fact, this has to be my least favorite Kubica book I've ever read. While I appreciate a good twisty thriller, this book felt ,more like 3 different ideas pasted together with the hope that the reader will find cohesion. I was about 50% into the book before the plot even began to match the summary found on the back of the book., and even then it didn't match It was even further along when I realized that a portion of the book was taking place in the past. There were 2 side plots going on with no resolution to 1 and the 2nd was so hurried and I questioned what this subplot had to do with the story at all. This book isn't due out until April and I would highly encourage some re-writing before putting this book to press.
