Ugh. This book. There were so many things going on in it and I'm still trying to figure out how some of the plotlines were related. They seemed totally unnecessary and were only filler to make the book longer. I was not a fan at all.

Mary Kubica has done it again!!! She’s not sorry was a thrilling, interesting and explosive novel. You won’t want to miss this one!

Another awesome Mary Kubica book! I always look forward to her new books and this one didn’t disappoint. I love how the book took place in Chicago since I used to live there it made the story so much more relatable.

This is now my favorite Mary Kubrica novel! I have always. Enjoyed. Here books and love her writing style. I wan’t sure if this would top Local Woman Missing but it did. The first twist I thought I saw coming but not until right before it’s happened but then……there were more twists that i never expected. The writing was excellent, the characters were strong and again the twists were amazing. Excellent book!

Mary Kubica is one of my all-time favorite writers, and I read anything she writes! I was so excited to get an early copy of this and it did NOT disappoint! Divided into two parts, there were two separate stories unfolding. With multiple characters involved, I was wondering just how the storylines would come together but when and how they did made my jaw drop! I also loved the medical aspect; Meghan’s nursing career was front and center and it gave me even more appreciation for these incredible people who make it their job to care for others. Though I did see one of the twists coming, that did not stop me from enjoying this in the slightest! A bit different from Kubica’s previous books, this one was the twistiest yet - and I loved every bit of it!

This is heart-pounding thriller that earns a solid 4.5 stars. With a gripping plot and well-crafted characters, it's a testament to Kubica's talent for creating suspenseful narratives that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Kubica weaves a complex web of mystery, raising questions about whether Caitlin's fall was an accident or sinister act. As Meghan becomes emotionally entangled in Caitlin's life, the suspense escalates, and the lines between victim and perpetrator blur.

The author's ability to build tension is exceptional, and her portrayal of Meghan's character is a highlight. Meghan's inner conflict and gradual realization that she and her daughter might be in danger add depth to the narrative, creating a connection between the reader and the story.

This keeps you guessing until the very end, with unexpected twists and revelations that will leave you breathless. The only reason this review falls slightly short of 5 stars is my personal preference for a tad more backstory on some characters.

This is definitely a thrilling read for anyone who enjoys a broad range of genres and appreciates a well-executed plot. Kubica's storytelling prowess shines through in this chilling tale of deception and danger, making a definite must read for those who enjoy mystery and suspense.

The prologue had me hooked. I needed to know what was going to happen and the outcome of it. The book starts with Meghan as a nurse in the ICU and a lady comes in who fell from a bridge and was in a coma. As Meghan talks with the girls family, details came out that made me curious on a few things. Cops determine she was pushed and now are searching for a murderer. All this is happening while there is a man out attacking women outside their homes. Meghan has a few altercations with people in Caitlin’s life (the women in a coma). About the last 30% of the book is just one twist after another. Details I couldn’t predict, things I was skeptical on were being revealed. I couldn’t put it down towards the end. Great story, and fast read!

What a freaking ride this was, I thought I had it figured out, but I was of course, wrong! Which I’m so glad about. No one likes a book that they can guess the ending. It was such an amazing twist.

The setting set the mood perfectly, hospital setting and dark nights alone on the street. Of course it’s going to be creepy!

Gives off a “Don’t trust ANYONE” vibe 🤌🏻

Such a good thriller/ suspense I will be recommending to everyone!

As usual, Mary Kubica does it again. I love the suspense of it all. I love the twists. I love the page turning, keeping me on my toes style of writing. I’ve read all of Kubica’s books, and I think this one is my new favorite.

After about 3 hours in I had a full bladder and a pulse that could qualify for an ER visit. I skipped the toilet and kept on going.

The anxiety! My goodness, Kubica!

Kubica, took a machete to my soul and didn’t once let me catch my breath. God, I love this little lady.

I will note, I didn’t like Meghan. I’m not even sure she was meant to be likeable. She was anxious and a nervous nelly and gave me anxiety. The character development was on point with this one because I wanted to reach out and shake her.

In a horror movie you wonder why the victim always runs up the stairs instead of out the door.

In thriller novels you are screaming “do not walk down that street alone” yet, they do.

Why why why???

There was a ton of different “suspects” and each time I thought I figured out a motive I was thrown for a loop.

I read another review for this book and the reviewer mentioned they had it figured out early on…. Lies.

It’s literally impossible to connect these dots and when it all comes together you’ll have the ultimate shock factor.

Added points for a street named “sheridan” I’m a huge fan of my maiden name and seeing it glitter across the pages made my heart pitter patter.

To say I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read and review this showstopper would be an understatement and I promise my review is not bias, I love this author but I loved this book even more ♥️

Giving this a 3.5 rounded up to a 4. The last 50% was so hard to put down and stop reading buttttt getting to that point was at times a little boring. The ending was phenomenal and certainly left you guessing how everything will all tie together. Plus, it was super easy to root for Meghan and be excited to see how her story would end. Any story where I can actually root for and enjoy the main character is a win for me. This might be my favorite Mary Kubica book yet! This amazing thriller had me hooked early on. Mary Kubica does an amazing job crafting this novel to keep the reader constantly wondering what’s going to happen next. Just when you think you have it figured out there’s another twist to keep you guessing.

Meghan Michael’s is an ICU nurse trying to balance her work life with being a newly single mom. Meghan’s ICU patient, Caitlin is in a coma after jumping from a bridge. She quickly learns that this may be a murder attempt rather than a suicide attempt. Caitlin’s family spends lots of time at the hospital quickly wrapping Meghan up in the details of their family lives. As time goes on, more visitors show up leaving Meghan to wonder who these people are and if they could be responsible for Caitlin’s attempted murder. Could Caitlin’s family be responsible? Did Meghan risk putting herself and her family in danger by getting involved?

I’ve read a couple of Kubica’s books in the past, so I was eager to see that she had a new one coming. Doesn’t hurt that my name was used for one of the main characters.

The book revolves around ICU nurse Meghan, who is divorced and raising her teenage daughter Sienna. The newest patient Caitlin is admitted to the hospital after supposedly attempting to kill herself. In the midst of everything going on, there is a man attacking women in their community.

I kept reading because I was curious as to how it would end, but it took a while to get me really invested. By the time I got to the main twist, it confused me in terms of how everything fit together. Overall though, it should satisfy thriller fans.

Wow!!!! If I didn't have a job and 2 kids to keep alive, I easily could have read this book in one sitting. It was so hard to put down with lots of twists and surprises. I also found the main character very relatable and cheered for her through the whole story (even when her choices were morally questionable). Absolutely recommend adding this to your April 2024 TBR list!

I thoroughly enjoyed "She's Not Sorry" by Mary Kubica. The action never stopped throughout the entire book. There were many instances that I thought I had the people figured out as to who did what, but each time I was wrong. There were many possibilities, but I never guess the ending (and what an ending it was)! The person that was stalking females throughout the city had me stunned when I found out who it was. It was amazing to find out that the patient in a coma was tied to several different people in the book. To see how she ending up being in a coma was astonishing in itself. The environment(s) of the story left my heart going faster a few times, especially when Meghan's daughter Sienna was left home alone a couple of times (and her antics she pulled therein). I would highly recommend this book to others.

I received this book as an ARC on NetGalley. Mary Kubica always delivers suspense and twists in her books and this one was no different. The main character, Meghan, is an ICU nurse and single mom that is treating a patient that jumped (or did she?) from a bridge. The story was a little slow to start but then I couldn't put the book down. It will definitely keep your attention as you start to uncover the true story of Meghan and her patient. It's a great read if you are looking for something mysterious and suspenseful.

I love stories by this author! The plot, characters and pacing were spot on. There are some great twists. One I easily predicted but two jaw droppers that I did not. The vibe is extremely unsettling as the narrator is hyper aware of a rapist that is targeting single women in her area of Chicago.

This would have been a five star from me but there were a few unanswered plot threads that I would have liked resolved. I think that may have been intentional to enhance the complexity and overlap with the relationships?? Overall, this story will keep me thinking for a while. Fantastic!
