I really wanted to love this one but felt bogged down by detail and side plots. There's a good twist at the end but it takes so long to get to it that it wasn't as fulfilling as it should have been. A good read but not my favorite Kubica thriller.

Good book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, Action, intrigue, mystery, murder, revenge, a great who done it, great plot twist, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Thank you NetGalley and Mary Kubica for the ARC copy of She’s Not Sorry.

I really enjoyed this book and read it through in a single sitting. I did find it to be a bit predictable. I sniffed out all but 1 of the twists but overall I would absolutely recommend this book.

This one really got me. I thought I had nailed what was happening and midway through the book realized I had gotten it wrong. I love that! This had a main character I was rooting for while also being consumed by the mystery. I definitely recommend this one, especially now in spooky season! Do yourself a favor and find out why "She's Not Sorry"!

Mary Kubica is back with another psychological thriller that was hard to put down. For fans of her writing style, such as myself, I was a little disappointed to find that this one was not written in alternating perspectives. However, I don't see that style working with this book because of the plot lines. Perhaps two books would have been better so each plot and its characters could have been explored in more detail. Still, it was an enjoyable and quick read.

While I liked the twist around 70%, it was too, too slow of a burn for me. Thank you for the arc copy!

This is a difficult one to review without giving anything away but I’ll try. The whole Meghan/Caitlin story is crazy realistic but impossible to imagine. Somehow that doesn’t make sense but after reading it you’ll understand. What limits will we go to protect those we love? You may be surprised at how you feel the justification at the end.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I read this in one sitting, such a quick read. It dragged quite a lot and would have been a three-star read if not for the mind-blowing (for me, at least) twist that seemed to come 3/4 of the way through the book. While I saw a later twist coming, I didn’t see the other one coming at all and it boosted it up to 4 stars for me!

This is a suspenseful story where an ICU nurse is, by all appearances, a third-party observer in the care of a young woman who fell, jumped, or was pushed from a bridge. The writing is superb, the characters believable, and the plot memorable. A hard-to-put-down title. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing.

I highly recommend this book to any of my reader friends that like a great psychological thriller! This one will keep you on the edge of your seat and you simply won’t be able to put it down!!!

Mary Kubica has done it again! This might be my favorite of all her books. A short synopsis:

Meghan is an ICU nurse, recently single and raising a 16 year old daughter, Sienna. A patient is admitted to the hospital with a brain injury from a fall from a Chicago bridge. Meghan becomes entangled in the mystery surrounding this patient and the patient's family. With time, it's unclear whether this was a suicide attempt or an attempted murder. Meghan finds herself too deep into the situation, and she soon figures out that she's put herself and her family at risk.

I could not put this one down! It has an eerie feeling from the start, because Meghan walks across the dangerous city to and from work each day. The author describes the setting so well that I was anxious for her. I also enjoyed the medical type setting and reading about the realities nurses face in caring for their patients. Meghan's life is complex because of her recent split from her husband and the difficulty of raising her daughter as the primary caretaker. She is faced with decisions that would be difficult for anyone, and she definitely feels the consequences of the choices she makes. There are many twists and turns throughout the book, one of which I did NOT see coming. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it for fans of psychological thrillers.

This was a great read. I often found myself thinking of what I would do in Meghan's situation. It felt like there were plot holes but I honestly think the author was so svelt in her writing that I didn't catch on. Definitely a book worth reading and re-reading.

Really enjoyed this book. I can honestly say I didn’t see the biggest twist coming, but I was able to work out some of the subplots early. This author keeps the book fast-paced, and easy to read. She will continue to be a must read author for me!

You will not want to put this one down. The story is well developed and there are two story lines that are going on at one time. I enjoyed the mix up between the two to soften some of the more suspenseful moments. Overall a great read.

Whoa, another amazing thriller from Ms. Kubica! I can't count the number of times I gasped when I turned the page. The twists and turns are never ending. I loved every gasping, hold my breath minute. This is a magnificent story, and again - who do we trust. And, yes this is another pulse pounding thriller indeed! Thank you #NetGalley#ParkRow#She'sNotSorry

Amazingly written 4 star read once again by Mary Kubica! I'm constantly wondering what is going to happen next with all of her stories and this one was no different. Mary has done it again and I can't wait to recommend this to everyone I know!

I was immediately sucked in to this book, and I loved the twists and turns along the way. This was a thriller with multiple twists that I did not see coming. It's hard to write too much without spoilers, because so much of this book is intertwined!

She’s Not Sorry starts off slowly, describing an ICU nurse’s life: her work, family, and neighborhood. Then twists start appearing. I like twists as much as the next person, but felt bamboozled by the first one.

As I said, the book started slowly; then it ended with a rapid sense of occurrences and whiplash coincidences. It wasn’t my favorite Kubica novel, but I’m glad I read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed She's Not Sorry. It had everything a good murder mystery should have. It had twists and turns, it had mystique, and it was a who done it. The lead character, Meagan, was a nurse at a hospital. She had a daughter, Sienna, and an ex-husband, Ben.

One night, as Meagan is going to her divorce support group, she meets an old high school friend, Natalie. She's going to the support group too, but she's nervous. Meagan convinces her to go in. Everything goes as it should and Meagan wants to invite Natalie for coffee after so she can discuss it with her. But someone stops her and Natalie gets away. Later, Meagan finds Natalie on Facebook and messages her and invites her out for coffee. They meet and Nat tells her about her husband, Deagan. Megan notices a bruise on Nat's forehead. She doesn't say anything about it, but she assumes that Nat has been abused. Nat receives a text message and then notices that someone standing outside. At this point she tells Meagan that she has to leave and she gets up and flees.

Another time, Meagan sees Nat on the street and she has a busted lip and more bruises. Nat has told her that she staying with a friend. This time she tells her that the friend has asked her to leave. So Meagan invites her to stay at her apartment with her and her daughter. The next day Meagan goes to work and when she gets home Nat and all of her belongings are gone, along with Megan's wedding rings. Meagan knows that Nat has been receiving threatening text messages from her husband and she's worried about her. But she has no idea where to look for her. Nat has told her the name of the law firm where her husband works so Meagan goes there in search of him. When she gets there she learns that no one by that name works there.

At the hospital, Meagan is taking care of a patient named Caitlin who was pushed off of a bridge and survived. She meets Caitlin's parents in her brother. This is where all the twists and turns occur. It turns out that Nat is not who she says she is. She is, in fact, Caitlin. And by the way, Caitlin dies.

Luke is another nurse and a dear friend of Meagan's. He is married to Penelope who is pregnant and on bed rest. They're having problems, as Penelope thinks Luke is seeing another woman. All the while, there is a man who has been accosting women in their apartments when they're at home alone.

There are all sorts of twists and turns, one of them being that Ben is seeing a woman who turns out to be Caitlin. Towards the end of the book, The man who has been a costing women kidnaps Sienna and calls Meagan and tells her where to meet him. While Meagan is trying to negotiate with him, the police have gotten a tip and they show up and they kill the man. An ambulance takes Sienna to the hospital where it is learned that she has broken her ankle. Ben shows up at the hospital and he gives Meagan her wedding ring which he found in his apartment. It is assumed that Sienna brought it there.

All of the twists and turns had me devouring this book. There's one huge twist that has to do with Meagan. And Megan had told Nat that Ben was not Sienna's father, which she, as Caitlin, tells Sienna. But Meagan and Sienna decide they're not going to tell Ben. All in all, it was a wonderful book that kept me coming back from more. I gave it five stars.
