Happy International Women’s Day!
What better way to celebrate than reading about a couple of baddies solving crimes and wiping snotty noses!?!?!!
I love Finlay and Vero and I seriously wish they lived next door to me. I want to go on adventures with them.
I can’t recommend this series enough for some cozy mysteries. With humor and an ex husband ya just wanna slap!
Thank you @netgalley and @minotaur_books for the e-arc.

I absolutely adore the Finlay Donovan series, but after reading FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE I’m starting to get a little bored with it 🫤

My thoughts:
-so many Vero and Finlay shenanigans
-hilarious antics per usual
-love Fin and Nick together
-Steven is a complete butt head

Even though this series is starting to fizzle out for me, I still can’t recommend it enough! The first few books were solid gold and so fun to read! Honestly, I’m such a sucker for Vero and Finlays friendship that I’ll continue to keep reading the series as long as Elle Cosimano continues to write them.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martins Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

The dynamic duo of Finlay and Vero is a delight to follow, as they navigate through a web of deception and danger with wit and determination. I really loved this book, it felt like a different swing than the previous book in the series. I felt like we were finally taking a step forward. I eagerly await the next one.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the fourth book in this series and I thought it was a great continuation! While I found the beginning to be a little bit slower of a start than what I was hoping for, things definitely picked up which made it hard to put this one down. I recently read the previous book, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, so some of the details were a little fresher in my mind which was helpful. Finlay and Vero are two of my favourite characters and I love their bond. I somehow managed to like Finlay even more after reading this one which I didn't think was possible. As I've come to expect with this series, things were wild, chaotic and hard to believe at times which is what I love about these books. I enjoyed the Atlantic City setting and the many characters added lots of layers and dynamics that I enjoyed reading about - from Kevin Bacon to Nick, Javi and Steven.

Overall, I enjoyed this one and rated it 4 stars! Although not my favourite of the series, I still enjoyed spending more time with these characters. If you are looking for a cozy mystery series that is equal parts action, comedy, romance and mystery, you definitely need to check out this series! This book also ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so here's hoping for another book in this series!

Every year before the next Finlay book is released, I reread the previous book in the series. I must admit that it is not normal for me to reread anything, but this series is so fun! The humor woven into the story is priceless. A great escape! One of my favorite releases to look forward to each winter. Besides Finlay and her nanny Vero, I also love the secondary characters that come along for the ride. The hot detective Nick is one of my favorites. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a laugh-out-loud humorous over-the-top mystery with a side of romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital ARC. All opinions are my own.

The wait was sure worth it! Finlay and Vero back at it again. I absolutely love that this series picks up where it’s left off and just keeps going. This one was so much fun! We get to go on a road trip, with Stephen and kids in tow. Which kept all the characters together on an adventure while yet again off to solve another mystery that always puts Finlay and Vero in the middle of a crime. I laughed so much as always at the one-liners and trouble these ladies get into. I absolutely love this entire series and highly recommend reading them in order to make sense. After the last page and ending please let there be a book five!

Finlay and Vero are just the best! I really hope this series goes on for a while, because they are just too much fun.

I love how we always start from the instant the last book ended. We have a ton of different people in play with this book. You are always wondering how Finlay can possibly get out of the middle. It seems to be so easy for her and Vero to be in the middle of murders and chaos. I enjoyed getting to know more about Vero’s past in this one.

There are many moments that are way over the top. It’s a given with this series, and I don’t really mind it. I know there are a lot of people that read this more critically and enjoyment. Do I think that two small women can lug around dead bodies? Absolutely not! Do I think that Finlay and Vero are hilarious? Yes! This book was such a fast paced read because there is always something crazy happening. I finished this in two days, and that’s with limited reading time.

I really love the fact that Finlay learns how to stand up to her ex. He’s not a good guy, and I’m glad she puts him in his place. I hope he finally sees the error of is ways, and becomes a better father for the kids. I’ve also loved Sylvia in this one! She’s such a minor roll, but we see a little more of her and I loved it. Even though these books are ultimately about Finlay and Vero’s relationship, I love her budding romance with the cop. It adds so much extra tension with the fact that he’s in law enforcement, and she’s in the middle of these crimes.

One little thing I struggled with was Vero rushing into everything. I get that she’s a hot head and never thinks things through but so many things went wrong because of her. I’m sure it adds to the tension and drama, but it was too much at times. She would never listen to reason and just did what she wanted anyways.

Overall, I did enjoy this one, and I thought it was a lot of fun. We have many supporting characters, and we learn a little more about them all. There is some added tension with her relationships, and I can’t wait to see where things go with Nicolas. I cannot wait for the next adventure with Finlay and Vero!

Many thanks to Minotaur Books and Netgalley for an e-ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Another knockout for Elle Cosimano! I am absolutely in love with all things Finlay and this book was no exception! I couldn't put it down, and I can't wait for my physical copy to arrive!

4.5/5!

Finlay Rolls the Dice is the 4th book in Elle Cosimano’s series featuring writer, Finlay Donovan, who has a penchant for finding herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. This time around someone close to her best friend, Vero, has been kidnapped and the two of them embark on a hilarious and deadly trip to Atlantic City.

Every time I read one of these books I can’t help thinking how fun this would be as a TV series to watch! I love the interactions between the entire cast of characters. The way that Cosimano balances humor with murder is just fantastic! Think Only Murders in the Building level of walking into crimes and having to solve them but with laughs.

I do insist that people read these books in order whenever I’m asked about it. Each one follows the last and there are lots of references to previous plots, so reading out of order would spoil other books.

Speaking of spoiling…I also edited the synopsis for this post down to just the first part of it because it’s so spoilery! Honestly, just start at book one, fall in love, and keep reading!

I love every single Finlay book and each one leaves me on edge for the next one. All of the characters are so alive and so much fun, I love the dynamic they all have. Just like the deal in the book, these books deserve a TV series. It would be a major hit.

4✨ Finlay and Vero are such great characters! The story picks up immediately where the 3rd one leaves off and is action packed from the very beginning. This book featured so many laugh out loud moments and trademark crazy situations that our characters find themselves in. If you’re a fan of light hearted murder/mystery with a lot of comedic relief, these books are for you! Some of the situations are a little far fetched and over the top but these just make me enjoy the story even more. The cliffhanger ending has me looking forward to the next book already!

Fast paced and fun read 🎲🎰🚘

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Yes, yes, yes! I loved this book so much! The Finally Donovan books have been some of my favorite cozy mysteries for awhile and this one was so good. I didn't like her previous book as much due to the setting but this one had a setting that drew me in and I couldn't put this book down. I've never had books make me laugh as much as these do, Finlay and Vera's dry wit and humor kill me and the situations they get themselves into are hilarious. Some might call them farfetched but I love every minute of it. The romance was amazing as always and has a certain way of tugging at my heart strings, especially in this book. I won't even complain about it ending on a cliffhanger, for some reason it works perfectly with her books even though that means I have to wait forever for the next one.

Many thanks to St. Martins Press, Minotaur Books for the gifted copy for my honest review!

In book 4, Finlay and Vero are headed to Atlantic City. They have 72 hours to save Javi, get their stolen car back, repay a loan shark, and staying the Russian mob’s radar. All with Finlay’s kids in tow while her ex husband and mother insist on tagging along and foiling their plans!

This book continues to have lots of action, hilarious and deadly hijinks, and more on the line with Finlay and Vero’s love lives complicate matters. Their race against the clock involves lots of disguises, slipping their tail, strippers and escorts, a psychic, and a couple of dogs! I will never get enough of Finlay and Vero! Though this book doesn’t quite end on a cliff hanger as the previous books have, I think Ymir definitely leaves room for and hints at future escapades and potential to draw the 2 “ride or die” besties get in more trouble! Finlay Donovan rolls double 6s with book!

If you’ve been around here a minute you know I’ve been a big fan of the Finlay Donovan series since the first book, Finlay Donovan Is Killing It. I’ve long held that Finlay and her wingwoman Vero are the ultimate duo in this series beyond any other relationship. They shine once again in this fourth book with the addition of Finlay’s mom, along for the ride!

Using the cover of a girls trip Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic City looking to strike a deal with a loan shark to save Vero’s childhood crush. It’s a madcap romp with more hijinx than the previous books, very on-brand for the series. I read on ebook, but enjoy this series best on audio. It is a series I do think you really need to read in order.

It wraps up neatly, with one significant exception. If you’ve read the book I really need to ask someone about this one thing!! 🤐 I may have missed it?! According to Cosimano’s website there’s three more books planned, one each year!!

I recommend for those that have read and loved the previous Finlay Donovan books, especially if you’re fans of the Finlay/Vero dynamic! Stephanie Evanovich fans (Stephanie Plum) will love the series also. I recommend starting with the first book, and do prefer the audio version.

Thank you to my friends at Minatour for the advance copy via NetGalley.

I was lucky enough to read this alongside the audiobook, so my review will be the same for both. This is a great fourth installment. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of suspension of disbelief for the way the story unfolds, but there are no other characters I more happily suspend my disbelief for than Finlay and Vero.

In this book, events pick up just after the two leave the police academy ready to hit the road to Atlantic City to find the Aston Martin and Javi, Vero's love interest. Instead of Vero and Finlay being able to escape alone to handle business, the two are joined by the entire motley crew - Finlay's mom, Steven, the kids, Nick, Georgia, Sam, and Charlie. Soon after arriving in Atlantic City, things are not as easy as they seem and as is usual for Finlay and Vero, the two find themselves yet again dealing with dead bodies and criminals. I don't want to give much away for this novel, but this was such a fun, fast-paced read. While book 3 remains my favorite, this book was also enjoyable and I absolutely LOVE these characters. I can't wait for more and the news last year that Elle Cosimano will be writing a few more books over the next few years makes me so endlessly happy. These books are my favorite escape.

Thank you so much for a free copy in exchange for reviews. I will (and have) been recommending it to everyone I meet!

Finlay Donovan and her partner-in-crime Vero plan a girls’ weekend in Atlantic City, which turns into a risky mission involving a loan shark, rescuing Vero's crush Javi, and recovering a stolen car. But their plans are complicated when Finlay's ex-husband and mother tag along. Things go awry when they find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery, with suspicions falling on them. With police involvement and personal dramas escalating, Finlay must navigate a web of secrets to survive Atlantic City in one piece.

Finlay Donovan and her partner-in-crime Vero are back for another wild ride in the latest installment in this uproariously entertaining audiobook series. As a devoted fan, I'm sad to bid farewell for now, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in their adventures. Vero and Finlay's dynamic as amateur investigators is as hilarious as ever, with their unintentional mishaps and antics making every moment worth savoring. The introduction of Nick and Javi adds a delightful romantic subplot, and watching their relationships evolve has been a highlight. With its perfect blend of humor, suspense, and romance, this book easily earns a solid 5-star rating. This is the best installment yet, leaving me snort-laughing my way through from start to finish!

Finlay and Vero have become old friends who I look forward to seeing every year. Some visits have been better than others. But like most old friendships, the ease with which you fall into rhythm with them offers much comfort - laugh, roll your eyes, scream “Why?!?” but always know these girls are the “ride or die” kind of friends. This year, I laughed a bit more at all the antics that the backdrop of Atlantic City offers, especially loving the scene with Finlay’s mom at Chubbies.

If you haven't started the series yet, I recommend beginning with the original book. Although each book can be read individually, the fourth book includes some spoilers from the previous installments, which can serve as a helpful reminder if you only read them once a year.

I did pair the ebook with the audiobook. To me, Angela Dawe is Finlay Donovan. She captures the spirit, tenacity, and often lousy decision-making that leads to laugh-out-loud moments.

This series is just so much fun! I love Finlay and Vero’s dynamic and loved that this book took them on an adventure to Atlantic City 🎲

Finlay and Vero’s plans for a girls weekend away — to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark — gets sabotaged when Finlay’s ex husband and her mother insist on tagging along. To make matters worse, four members of the police department show up in town on business, but also want to keep tabs on Finlay’s family.

So much of the craziness that Finlay and Vero find themselves caught up in is unrealistic, but that’s part of what makes these books so fun. Their banter always makes me laugh and I loved how much sneaking around they had to do.

FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE is action-packed and hilarious from beginning to end. Already counting down until the next book!

I flew through this audiobook in one listen. I was completely entertained from the beginning, which is saying a lot because I had decided after reading the third in the series that I was done with Finlay Donovan. But my interest was piqued by the cover and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself chuckling at Finlay and Vera’s antics again. I plan to continue reading this series as they come out.
