Finlay and Vero are back in the fourth installment of this series, and they left their mark on Atlantic City!

We start only a little while after where we left off in Book 3 going from the police academy to a road trip to New Jersey. Only Finlay and Vero have to take the long way around due to Vero's crimes she committed in Maryland. Also, Finlay's ex-husband won't let her leave with the kids without him so he tags along. Also, Finlay's mom, sister, boyfriend, and the local police squad.

A lot goes on in the short amount of time from when the group arrives in Atlantic City and I'm amazed Finlay was able to function with the little amount of sleep she gets in the first few chapters. The crimes that Finlay and Vero have committed only grow longer as they attempt to defeat the Russian mob before Finlay's boyfriend and his group find it out first. This adventure is more ridiculous than the previous stories and the comedy is great if you allow yourself the chance to not overthink the crazyness.

I also wish there was a summary of the previous book's sort of prologue to help the reader dive back into the story. Especially ones who have kept up with this series from the beginning There were a few characters I forgot from previous books and had to take a moment to remember before continuing with Book 4.

Despite the overload of plot points in a short amount of time, Elle does a fabulous job of tying all the webs together to create a fun ending. The cliffhanger we're left off with at the end of this book should create a fun Book 5, bringing back a fan-favorite character! Overall, this was another entertaining and bizarre adventure that I hope comes to life in the planned TV show!

I have read everything in the Finlay Donovan series. Each is a little more intricate than the one before. At points it can be a little tough to keep track of all of the connections between characters. However, the book is an entertaining, light-hearted read. I particularly liked the outcome for one of the main characters.

Finlay and Vero are back!

And as usual, they've embroiled themselves in a completely ridiculous conflict that is highly entertaining.

Fans of the Finlay Donovan series will delight in this newest installment, which includes the same hilarious antics we all loved in the first few books. This story wraps up most of the plotlines from previous books, as well, leaving room for new conflicts to take the lead on future entries. I think this is a wise choice, especially when paired with the different setting in this book. It keeps the series feeling fresh.

Wow!! This book was one of my most highly anticipated reads for 2024 and it certainly did not disappoint! I was so happy to dive back into the world of Finlay and Vero and follow thier shenanigans! I read this in about 24 hours and I kept thinking about it every time I had to put it down. It was filled with action and intrigue, fantastic humor that had me laughing out loud and giggling!

I hope there is going to be a next book because the ending?? Such a good book’!

I just love this series!! In their latest adventure, Finlay and Vero, and others, head to Vegas where more chaos ensues!! I was also lucky enough to get an early copy of the audiobook version which made the book even more hilarious!

Get in girls, we’ve got a mystery to solve in Atlantic City!

What an absolutely joy it is to dive back into the messy and murderous world of Finlay Donovan. I’ve been lucky enough to receive an early copy of all four installments of this series, so I can confidently say each new adventure has felt seriously addicting read, and hard to put down - but Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice might be the funniest book of them all. There were several times where I actually had to stop reading because I was laughing so hard. Between laughs, squeals and groans I enjoyed every second of Finlay and Vero’s newest pulse-racing journey.

Book 4 of a series can be hard to pull off but Elle Cosimano delivered everything I could have hoped for. We got even more mysteries, higher stakes, and somehow even wilder adventures for our favorite gal pals. While I’ve seen some people complain that many moments in this series could be far fetched or unbelievable, but I think that what makes it so fun. Sure the things that happen to Finlay and Vero seem almost impossible, but the stress is on almost. With the perfect circumstances and the revolving comedy of errors, our heroines just realistically enough find themselves in the stickiest of situations. I’m not sure where the series goes from here, but the ending leaves just enough loose ends that I wouldn’t hesitate to follow Finlay down the rabbit hole once again.

🤍Thank you St. Martins Press for the earc copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice! 🤍

I never fail to absolutely fly through these books. They suck me in every time!

Finlay might be the unluckiest character ever and the sheer amount of shenanigans and sticky situations she and Vera find themselves in is hysterical.

The romance has me in a chokehold and it’s so swoony. I’m ready to see how this series will conclude.

Read if you love:
• comedy and mystery
• morally grey characters
• hilarious mishaps
• swoony romance
• an ongoing series

I will say I’m getting tired of the repetition and asking “okay but surely this will finally happen in this book.”

3.5 stars This was the conclusion of the Finlay Donovan series and I'm happy to have read it, but I'm glad the series is done. It was getting a little ridiculous. Entertaining, but ridiculous.

I couldn't wait to read the 4th book on the Finlay Donovan series and hope we're getting more. I really love the side characters because they are always lovable!

I can't get over how much mischief Finlay and Vero always get in to, especially this book being set in Atlantic City. When you add the ex-husband, mom and FBI, it makes it hilarious

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

Thank you to NetGalley, Minotaur Books, and Elle Cosimano for my advanced copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice!

This is the fourth book in the series, not including the novella after book three. If you haven't read the first three books, you really need to before diving into this one. I can't give much of a summary because of spoilers from the earlier installments, but if you enjoyed those you're sure to love this one as well.

I love the setting change as we find ourselves in Atlantic City but with the same great group of characters. The only thing missing from this story was crotchety Mrs. Haggerty, but I have a feeling we'll see her again soon...The love triangle trope is still with us, Steven is still hanging around, and of course our girl Vero.

This series is a palate cleanser, in the best possible way, from heavy storylines and epic tales (my traditional reads). I feel like I'm watching a buddy cop TV show as the girls continue their hijinks on a weekend getaway. This fast-paced, fun mystery is over the top, as per usual, and highly entertaining. I look forward to the next book in the Finlay Donovan world and tag along as we get into more trouble.

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano is the fourth main book in the Finlay Donovan series, and by far it’s my favourite! Using a quote from my review of Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun: I’m really not sure where Cosimano's going to go from here because how can she write the next one better than this one? (Please tell me there will be a next one!!!)

There is nothing more fun to read than the Finlay Donovan series and the hijinks that the dynamic duo that is Finlay and Vero get up to; I was so excited to dive back in once again!

What I loved:
-Atlantic City was a refreshing setting change
-this is by far the funniest of the series! I actually laughed out loud, not just once but multiple times! One time, I actually had to stop the audiobook and set my Kindle down to catch my breath since I was laughing so hard!
-I like that the romance shifted with this book (I love Vero/Javi and Finlay/Nick; Steven just really needs to take a hint!)
-I liked having that little bit extra added character history that Veronica Ruiz Breaks The Bank added, specifically in relation to the plot of this story
-since we know Finlay and Vero's friendship so well at this point in the series, I loved how their relationship was shown rather than told
-the audiobook narrator Angela Dawe - don't even get me started! There's a reason she's one of my favourite audiobook narrators. The voices she uses to embody the different characters is next level! She simply makes Vero for me!

What I didn't:
-that I have now finished all the released books in the series!

What else did I love:
-how this book ended!

Cosimano continues to knock it out of the park with this series!

Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books and Macmillan Audio for the complimentary copies to read and review.

Happy pub day to the newest book in a favorite series of mine, ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice.’ Elle Cosimano’s fourth installment in the Finlay Donovan series wowed me just as much as the previous three and I’m going to tell you all about it!

In the fourth book of the series, Finlay ventures to Atlantic City with her trust sidekick and nanny Vero, her kids, her mother, and her ex-husband for an action-packed “girls weekend.” Girls weekend is code for handling some mob related business that continues from the previous book in the series. Finn and Vero’s trip turns into part investigation, part rescue mission as they try to navigate through casinos, the boardwalk, hotels, motels, while trying to stay under the radar of Finlay’s police officer boyfriend and sister.

Perhaps my favorite thing about the ‘Finlay Donovan’ series is the crazy cast of side characters. Finlay’s mom was my particular favorite in this one. I loved the change of scenery in ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice’ and also really enjoyed how the story was so full of twists and turns but moved quickly. Not only did this story have me hooked from the first page, but I also laughed the entire way through. I also appreciated how even though I read the last book in the series a while ago, I was not lost or confused during this one.

Again, like I have with every book in this fantastic series, I recommend ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice’ for anyone looking for a genuinely fun read. Pub day is TODAY 3/5, so go get your copies now!
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5

Thanks to NetGalley, author, and publisher for this ARC.

It's been about a year since I read the previous book, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, but it was so easy to jump back into this world. Cosimano deftly provides all the right details in all the right places to refresh your memory of what has happened in the previous three books. I just think this series is so fun. I can see myself watching it as a TV series and being captivated with these characters on a weekly basis. I love the friendship between Vero and Finlay that continues to develop over time. The comedic timing is always inserted in just the right places. There are some outrageous moments, but that's just the vibe when it comes to Finlay and company. Lighthearted, funny and never boring.

In the fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series, Finley and Vero find themselves in Atlantic City, gambling for their lives as they search for answers and loan sharks. And of course, Finlay's mom, kids, and ex-husband tag along for the wild ride.

I keep worrying that each book will be disappointing compared to the previous ones, but Elle Cosimano hasn't disappointed me yet! The 4th book is full of crime, with a healthy dose of humor, and it reads like a romantic comedy movie. Already looking forward to book 5 👀

Another Finlay Donovan book that does just what it is supposed to! An entertaining read with many laugh-out-loud moments that kept me wondering what Finlay and Vero would do next. This time the entire gang is in Atlantic City, and all are up to something. The storyline is never believable but that doesn’t matter for pure enjoyment. This was a quick fast-paced, action packed read that had me shaking my head and certain situations they found themselves in. I can’t tell if everything was wrapped up nicely at the end or if there will be a #5 to the series. Only time will tell.

I just LOVE this series! The best part of these books are always the side characters. They are HYSTERICAL and so lovable! This book was no exception. Finlay and Vero are on yet another wild adventure in Atlantic City, with Finlay’s mom, kids, ex husband, new boyfriend, and the FBI in tow. SO GOOD!

HIGE thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

I devoured this book as soon as I got my hands on it and now I have to wait to get my next fix of the Finlay Donovan series. (UGH!) I'm so glad to be back in Finlay Donovan's crazy life. Since being confused with a hitman she has been running and battling the Russian mob and a dirty cop along the way, of course, with the help of her best friend, accountant and partner in crime, Vero. Just when she thinks she might be in the clear another threat pops up. All while trying to keep her mob dealings from her new police officer boyfriend along with finishing her new book before the publishing deadline. It starts as they all head off on a long road trip to Atlantic City to rescue Vero's boyfriend who was caught in the middle of their crimes or alleged crimes. But as they head off somehow Steven and Finlay's mom end up coming along which complicate things even more. Atlantic City ends up being one big massive adventure after another all while dodging the ruthless mob and family obligations. Howeever, Finlay and Vero always seem to have the ability to think on their feet. Come along on Finlay and Vero's new adventure and enjoy ALL their craziness. Hurry Elle Cosimano and bring us more of this duo!

I LOVE these characters! This book starts up from where we left off in the Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, where the girls are heading to Atlantic City to track down Javi. It becomes a family affair and of course chaos ensues. I love Finlays mom and wished there was more of her in this book but still she provides some comedic moments. This book is just like the last 3 in that it is perfectly paced for me! It moves so fast and is easy to read in a sitting which I LOVE. Sometimes I like to savor books but with these kinds of mysteries I really enjoy finishing them quickly. I'm thrilled with how this one ended and looking forward to how Elle will continue this series!
I'm giving this a 4.5 rating, rating up because there are so many characters and at moments I couldn't remember who all belonged to what group or who was a bad guy. I hope the next book will keep that a little simpler but I'm sure I'll still enjoy it!
Thank you so much to Minotaur and netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

This series is always a great one to escape and enjoy the escapades of Finlay and company. You definitely have to read the other books in the series first in order to understand what’s going on in this one.

Another fun escapade with Finlay and Vero that turns into a ridiculous everything but the kitchen sink story involving dead bodies, family drama and the hunt for Javi. This one is OTT (Over The Top) ! Entertaining and still thrilling. Read if you enjoyed any other Finlay Donovan books or you like mystery thrillers with a lot of sarcasm, snark and silliness. I’m excited to listen to the audiobook on publication day. ARC was provided by Minotaur Books via NetGalley. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
