I couldn't wait to read the 4th book on the Finlay Donovan series and hope we're getting more. I really love the side characters because they are always lovable!

I can't get over how much mischief Finlay and Vero always get in to, especially this book being set in Atlantic City. When you add the ex-husband, mom and FBI, it makes it hilarious

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

Thank you to NetGalley, Minotaur Books, and Elle Cosimano for my advanced copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice!

This is the fourth book in the series, not including the novella after book three. If you haven't read the first three books, you really need to before diving into this one. I can't give much of a summary because of spoilers from the earlier installments, but if you enjoyed those you're sure to love this one as well.

I love the setting change as we find ourselves in Atlantic City but with the same great group of characters. The only thing missing from this story was crotchety Mrs. Haggerty, but I have a feeling we'll see her again soon...The love triangle trope is still with us, Steven is still hanging around, and of course our girl Vero.

This series is a palate cleanser, in the best possible way, from heavy storylines and epic tales (my traditional reads). I feel like I'm watching a buddy cop TV show as the girls continue their hijinks on a weekend getaway. This fast-paced, fun mystery is over the top, as per usual, and highly entertaining. I look forward to the next book in the Finlay Donovan world and tag along as we get into more trouble.

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano is the fourth main book in the Finlay Donovan series, and by far it’s my favourite! Using a quote from my review of Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun: I’m really not sure where Cosimano's going to go from here because how can she write the next one better than this one? (Please tell me there will be a next one!!!)

There is nothing more fun to read than the Finlay Donovan series and the hijinks that the dynamic duo that is Finlay and Vero get up to; I was so excited to dive back in once again!

What I loved:
-Atlantic City was a refreshing setting change
-this is by far the funniest of the series! I actually laughed out loud, not just once but multiple times! One time, I actually had to stop the audiobook and set my Kindle down to catch my breath since I was laughing so hard!
-I like that the romance shifted with this book (I love Vero/Javi and Finlay/Nick; Steven just really needs to take a hint!)
-I liked having that little bit extra added character history that Veronica Ruiz Breaks The Bank added, specifically in relation to the plot of this story
-since we know Finlay and Vero's friendship so well at this point in the series, I loved how their relationship was shown rather than told
-the audiobook narrator Angela Dawe - don't even get me started! There's a reason she's one of my favourite audiobook narrators. The voices she uses to embody the different characters is next level! She simply makes Vero for me!

What I didn't:
-that I have now finished all the released books in the series!

What else did I love:
-how this book ended!

Cosimano continues to knock it out of the park with this series!

Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books and Macmillan Audio for the complimentary copies to read and review.

Happy pub day to the newest book in a favorite series of mine, ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice.’ Elle Cosimano’s fourth installment in the Finlay Donovan series wowed me just as much as the previous three and I’m going to tell you all about it!

In the fourth book of the series, Finlay ventures to Atlantic City with her trust sidekick and nanny Vero, her kids, her mother, and her ex-husband for an action-packed “girls weekend.” Girls weekend is code for handling some mob related business that continues from the previous book in the series. Finn and Vero’s trip turns into part investigation, part rescue mission as they try to navigate through casinos, the boardwalk, hotels, motels, while trying to stay under the radar of Finlay’s police officer boyfriend and sister.

Perhaps my favorite thing about the ‘Finlay Donovan’ series is the crazy cast of side characters. Finlay’s mom was my particular favorite in this one. I loved the change of scenery in ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice’ and also really enjoyed how the story was so full of twists and turns but moved quickly. Not only did this story have me hooked from the first page, but I also laughed the entire way through. I also appreciated how even though I read the last book in the series a while ago, I was not lost or confused during this one.

Again, like I have with every book in this fantastic series, I recommend ‘Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice’ for anyone looking for a genuinely fun read. Pub day is TODAY 3/5, so go get your copies now!
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5

It's been about a year since I read the previous book, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, but it was so easy to jump back into this world. Cosimano deftly provides all the right details in all the right places to refresh your memory of what has happened in the previous three books. I just think this series is so fun. I can see myself watching it as a TV series and being captivated with these characters on a weekly basis. I love the friendship between Vero and Finlay that continues to develop over time. The comedic timing is always inserted in just the right places. There are some outrageous moments, but that's just the vibe when it comes to Finlay and company. Lighthearted, funny and never boring.

In the fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series, Finley and Vero find themselves in Atlantic City, gambling for their lives as they search for answers and loan sharks. And of course, Finlay's mom, kids, and ex-husband tag along for the wild ride.

I keep worrying that each book will be disappointing compared to the previous ones, but Elle Cosimano hasn't disappointed me yet! The 4th book is full of crime, with a healthy dose of humor, and it reads like a romantic comedy movie. Already looking forward to book 5 👀

Another Finlay Donovan book that does just what it is supposed to! An entertaining read with many laugh-out-loud moments that kept me wondering what Finlay and Vero would do next. This time the entire gang is in Atlantic City, and all are up to something. The storyline is never believable but that doesn’t matter for pure enjoyment. This was a quick fast-paced, action packed read that had me shaking my head and certain situations they found themselves in. I can’t tell if everything was wrapped up nicely at the end or if there will be a #5 to the series. Only time will tell.

I just LOVE this series! The best part of these books are always the side characters. They are HYSTERICAL and so lovable! This book was no exception. Finlay and Vero are on yet another wild adventure in Atlantic City, with Finlay’s mom, kids, ex husband, new boyfriend, and the FBI in tow. SO GOOD!

HIGE thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

I devoured this book as soon as I got my hands on it and now I have to wait to get my next fix of the Finlay Donovan series. (UGH!) I'm so glad to be back in Finlay Donovan's crazy life. Since being confused with a hitman she has been running and battling the Russian mob and a dirty cop along the way, of course, with the help of her best friend, accountant and partner in crime, Vero. Just when she thinks she might be in the clear another threat pops up. All while trying to keep her mob dealings from her new police officer boyfriend along with finishing her new book before the publishing deadline. It starts as they all head off on a long road trip to Atlantic City to rescue Vero's boyfriend who was caught in the middle of their crimes or alleged crimes. But as they head off somehow Steven and Finlay's mom end up coming along which complicate things even more. Atlantic City ends up being one big massive adventure after another all while dodging the ruthless mob and family obligations. Howeever, Finlay and Vero always seem to have the ability to think on their feet. Come along on Finlay and Vero's new adventure and enjoy ALL their craziness. Hurry Elle Cosimano and bring us more of this duo!

I LOVE these characters! This book starts up from where we left off in the Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, where the girls are heading to Atlantic City to track down Javi. It becomes a family affair and of course chaos ensues. I love Finlays mom and wished there was more of her in this book but still she provides some comedic moments. This book is just like the last 3 in that it is perfectly paced for me! It moves so fast and is easy to read in a sitting which I LOVE. Sometimes I like to savor books but with these kinds of mysteries I really enjoy finishing them quickly. I'm thrilled with how this one ended and looking forward to how Elle will continue this series!
I'm giving this a 4.5 rating, rating up because there are so many characters and at moments I couldn't remember who all belonged to what group or who was a bad guy. I hope the next book will keep that a little simpler but I'm sure I'll still enjoy it!

This series is always a great one to escape and enjoy the escapades of Finlay and company. You definitely have to read the other books in the series first in order to understand what’s going on in this one.

Another fun escapade with Finlay and Vero that turns into a ridiculous everything but the kitchen sink story involving dead bodies, family drama and the hunt for Javi. This one is OTT (Over The Top) ! Entertaining and still thrilling. Read if you enjoyed any other Finlay Donovan books or you like mystery thrillers with a lot of sarcasm, snark and silliness. I’m excited to listen to the audiobook on publication day. ARC was provided by Minotaur Books via NetGalley. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When Finlay Donovan and Vero plan a girl’s weekend away aka find Vero’s boyfriend who has been kidnapped by a notorious loan shark, mayhem and hilarity ensue. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the fourth in The Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano and it’s just as full speed ahead, madcap fun as the previous books and I loved every wild and wacky minute of it.

Finlay and Vero, as always, find themselves faced with one seemingly insurmountable and often laugh-out-loud funny challenge after another and must find a way through it while balancing Finlay’s kids, mother, ex-husband, and keeping her hot new FBI boyfriend from finding out whats really going on. The story is set mainly in Atlantic City and there is a scene in a strip club that, trust me, you do not want to be drinking anything while reading.

This is one rollicking good read with a great mystery, a terrific cast of characters, and non-stop entertainment and, if all that isn’t enough to make you want to pick it up, there’s a little dachshund named Kevin Bacon.

Elle Cosimano hits it out of the park again with the latest installment of Finlay and Vero wreaking havoc and solving crimes all at the same time. This duo crack me the hell up and I can't get enough of them! I can't wait for the next installment to come out - I need to find out where Vero & Javi's relationship ends up!!

A huge thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for gifting me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Happy pub day to Finlay, once again! If you're up to date on Finlay's story, you'll enjoy this latest installment for sure. Once again foolish yet humorous, Cosimano has delivered her likable character with an ever-expanding skill set. I would absolutely recommend starting at the beginning of this series. These characters attract trouble but it's entertaining all the way through. I did see that there's another book promised, and I'm not sure how much more steam Finlay has left for me, but for now I will continue to follow her along through these crazy antics with Vero by her side.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano is the 4th in the series featuring Finlay and her nanny/accountant/co-conspirator, Vero. You absolutely must read the first three books of the series before heading into this one, as each book feeds off the earlier books. Book four is no exception, in which the opening pages start where book three left off.

Like the three previous books, we are entertained by an amusing cast of characters, ranging from the most loveable to the most diabolical. And there is even an adorable dog cast in this one. Mad-capped adventures ensue from the opening pages and continue right to the end. I breezed through this book and did not figure out the twist before Finlay and Vero. You will have to suspend some disbelief to work through the crazy adventures in this book, but that is a given with this series.

Read Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice if you enjoyed the three earlier books in this series, love a cozy mystery with a bit of romance and spice, like to cheer on strong female characters, and feel all the happy vibes when one of the side characters is a cute dog.

Side Note: I listened to the audio versions of the first 3 books, but read this 4th book on my Kindle. Having experienced this series in both formats I lean towards the audio version because Finlay’s and Vero’s voices really shine through the narrator. That being said, both versions are a fun romp, so choose your reading as you prefer it.

I am so lucky to have received ARCs for this entire series! I am also so happy with the outcome of this one. I loved the first two but didn't care as much for the third. I would say Elle is back on track with this one! I wasn't too sure about the plot after reading the synopsis, but I ended up enjoying it. Elle continues to write funny stories with a wide range of characters but with such a mysterious plot. I really haven't read anything like this series before. Specifically speaking to Rolls the Dice, I really liked that ALL of the characters were involved with this one. I truly do enjoy majority of her characters and so I liked that all of them came along for the ride in this one. I mean there were just so many laugh out loud funny moments. I am definitely excited for what is to come in the next one!

Thank you to NetGalley & St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for the opportunity to read Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano in exchange for my honest review.

I’m a sucker for Finlay Donovan adventures and Rolls the Dice might be my favorite one so far.
In book 4 Finlay, Vero, and way too many others head to Atlantic City to save Javi who was kidnapped at the end of book 3. Rolls the Dice picks up where book 3 ended and we’re tossed back into the chaos that is Finaly’s life.

I don’t want to spoil any of the previous books or anything that happens in this one but shocker the ridiculous chaos kicks it up even higher when almost the whole crew ends up in a seedy hotel in Atlantic City. I know not everyone enjoys the absurdness that is Finlay Donovan, but honestly, I love it. I’m not always good at fully buying into outlandish scenarios but I’m always up for more of Finlay and Vero’s escapades. Cosimano’s ability to marry mystery and comedy is remarkable. It’s the characters. Cosimano’s characters are so believable and real that I will follow them wherever they go.

What really got me excited was the ending to book 4 and the curious setup to book 5 which seems to be taking a turn and featuring an unexpected character who was absent from almost all of Rolls the Dice. If you’re up for a mystery with strong female friendship and some laughs I highly recommend you pick up Rolls the Dice, but make sure you start from with book one, it’s worth the ride.

Another amazing Finlay story! I absolutely love this collection of books and this was a great addition! Highly recommend!

Finlay & Vero’s adventures start right where we left off in book three and they don’t stop until the final page. That’s what I love about this series, each book flows from one to the next and they are so easy to get immersed in and very hard to put down.

In Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, we find ourselves on a girl’s trip where Finlay’s kids, mom, ex-husband, new boyfriend and half of the police department tag along. While everyone thinks relaxation is the main reason for this trip, they have other plans. In typical Finlay & Vero fashion, nothing goes exactly how it’s supposed to and shenanigans ensue.

All the side characters really make this book shine and brings the laughs. I don’t know how Finlay & Vero keep getting into these messes but I am really happy to be along for the ride!

Read if you like:
▪️Female friendship
▪️Cop/criminal romance
▪️Cozy mysterys
▪️Road trips
▪️Action/Adventure
