Finley strikes again. Adventure and death with diapers and an ex attached what could be better. Oh yea a kidnapping too.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for this ARC.

Finn and Vero are back to take us on another exciting adventure. Finn’s mom and ex husband Steven crash Finn and Vero’s road trip with the kids, what can go wrong?!

I love this addition to the series. It’s like watching a comedy show trying to catch criminals and staying out of trouble. A stolen Aston Martin and Javi’s kidnapping are the basis of all the chaos that ensues.

Vero and Javi have such a cute and funny relationship. Revelation on their past history really helped put why they weren’t together, despite their obvious love and care for each other, into perspective.

Finn and Nick are going strong, but ex husband Steven doesn’t like what he’s seeing. Finn holds her ground and continues on with her mission while basically telling Steven to get over it and watch the children.

Finn’s mother also talks about her marriage and Finn not seeking marital counseling. I think this was a moving point in the book for a mother daughter relationship in better understanding each other and their different opinions.

Overall, such a fun easy read that just takes you on an adventurous rollercoaster. The cliffhanger at the end has me excited for a potential book 5!

This is the forth installment in the Finlay Donovan series. I’ve read the other three, so I was so excited to revive this ARC. The same silly entertaining shenanigans with a new and exciting setting of Atlantic City. I love how all the characters came together including her mom, ex, Nick and others on this trip. The story line was far fetched with a bunch of coincidences , but that is generally the series. Got lost a little bit with all the different turns. Fun read and left the door open for the next book.

I got confused a couple times keeping track of the people/timeslines, but that’s just a me thing. I was hooked from the beginning and just love Finlay and Vero’s interactions. Steven still irritated me.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, the 4th in the Finlay Donovan mystery series, by Elle Cosimano, is an absolute rollercoaster of a book. Alternating seamlessly between laugh-out-loud moments and nail-biting suspense, this book keeps you hooked from start to finish. The dynamic duo of Finlay and her partner-in-crime Vero embark on a wild adventure in Atlantic City, using a girls' weekend as a cover for a high-stakes mission to negotiate with a dangerous loan shark, save the guy that broke Vera’s heart, and recover a stolen car.

The plot twists and turns as the stakes escalate, with Finlay and Vero juggling dead bodies and a cast of meddling characters tagging along for the ride. Elle Cosimano's writing is sharp, witty, and utterly addictive, making this series a must-listen for fans of suspenseful mysteries with a dose of humor. (I received an advance reader copy of this book, and all opinions are my own.) Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is a thrilling addition to the series and I am eagerly anticipating the next installment.

As with every Finlay Donovan book, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The inability to predict where these books will lead is so satisfying to me. This installment adds the intrigue of casino to the setting and you are along for a fast paced journey as Finlay seeks to wrap up all the loose ends that have unraveled over the past few books. This was so enjoyable.

I have read all of the books in the series, and this is the best one! I don’t think this works as a standalone book, I think you have to read them in order. Because of that, I like that the author provides enough context when it relates to a previous book without retelling the story.

Finlay and Vero have really developed their relationship into something wonderful at this point in the story. It is amazing how well they work together and each brings a different strength to their challenges. You have to cheer for them the entire time, even when they get themselves in some crazy situations.

It kind of felt like this could be the last book of the series but there is still one outstanding thing left open that I want to see resolved. At the same time, I think I would be completely satisfied with how it was all left.

Side notes:
- Kind of funny that Sylvia wanted Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling for the TV show, go Ken and Barbie
- The Chubbies chapter was hilarious!
- Chapter 7 was oddly long (40 pages) when all of the others are around 10 pages. I was in a one more chapter before bed mood and didn’t check to see how long the chapter was. Kudos that I was so engrossed,I didn’t notice until 30 pages in when my husband came to bed.

Much better than book three, but Steven still sucks. There were a lot of characters to keep track of here, but it all tied together nicely.

This was another great read! I love this series and all the crazy things that happen. I hope this turn this into a mini series. It will be so good.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice
By Elle Cusimano

🎲 🎲 🎲 🎲 🎲/ 5

This is the fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series and it may just be my favorite! Finlay Donovan and Vero find themselves in another pickle, this time, in Atlantic City! The ladies planned a road trip/girls weekend to clear Vero’s debt but are joined by Finlay’s mom, her ex and a few other surprise folks from back home! This book is like all the others - outrageous, laugh out loud funny and such a good time! The books are light hearted but also keep you on the edge of your seat! I highly recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press, and Minotaur books for the digital advanced readers copy!! Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. This novel will be published March 5, 2024! Add it to your TBR!!

Fast paced. Action packed. Brand new hilarious situations for Finlay and Vero.

I loved how Steven got involved with this and was basically handed his ass in terms of taking care of the kids. Maybe there is a redemption arc for him in the future.
So many characters that we have seen before make an appearance and play a role in these shenanigans. It was great to have Cam and Sam back. I love Finlays character. She's smart, witty, thinks on her feet, is strong, and caring. I hope there is a future for her and Nick.

Every time I read one of these, it always reminds me of the Stephanie Plum series because of the hilarious situations she gets into, and there is a hot cop boyfriend 😍.

I feel like Vero is the perfect yin to Finlays yang. They complement each other so well, and where one may lack the other picks up the slack. I hope to see more of Javi! I was glad we got to see Finlays mom more as well. I think it added a great layer of human emotion to the story. I can't wait for the next one, even though this one is not out yet. This is one of my favorite series and I look forward to more!

It was SO fun to be back with Finlay and Vero!!

It was a long week and I have been in a bit of a reading rut. Nothing was appealing to me, and the last few books I read were good, not great. I had been keeping the advanced copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice for just this moment - and I'm so glad I did! Big thanks to NetGalley and St Martins Press for this gift!

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice picks up right where Book #3 left off. I also read the novella, Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank before picking this one up and highly recommend it - provides some good context.

Finlay and Vero are reeling - an international crime lord is hot on their trail, Vero's estranged lover Javier is MIA, Finlay's ex Stephen is poking around more than ever, JUST as things finally seem to be moving forward with Nick. So naturally they must go to Atlantic City and try to fix it all...

I'm going to keep it brief and avoid anything spoilery. But this was just so damn fun. I ADORE these characters and they are back and better than ever. Finlay and Vero take no shit and are on a mission. The cast of characters is always wildly entertaining. We got to spend more time with Fin's mom and Javier this time which was the best. I also will never tire of Finlay writing books that loosely follow her own life.

I remain SO grateful to author Elle Cosimano for building this world and bringing these characters to life. Add Flinay Donovan Rolls the Dice to your preorder and library lists! It is out on March 5 and I can't wait to hear what yall think!

Will post on retail sites, goodreads and my bookstagram @scottonreads

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book. All opinions are my own.

This series is just so much fun. It reminds me of the shower Good Girls. I laughed, I gasped, and I cringed my way through Finlay’s latest illegal adventure.

We start immediately where we left off in the last story and it’s action packed from start to end. Finn and Vero get stuck faking a girls weekend with Finn’s mom, kids and ex husband. Shortly after arriving at their destination chaos inevitably ensues and when you think they’ve finally got a grasp on leading their double lives, the rest of the gang shows up.

I loved returning to Finlay’s world and watching her balance writing her novel, taking care of her children and interfering with all of the illegal activity that surrounds her.

FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE by Ellie Cosimano is the 4th installment in the Finlay Donovan series that jumps immediately back into where the cliffhanger in book 3 left off. Finlay and Vero are on their way to Atlantic City for what they claim is a girls weekend away, but in reality is a cover to negotiate a deal with a loan shark. However they hit snags in their best-laid plans when Steven, Finlay's ex-husband, and Finlay's mom decide to come along for the road trip, and then shortly later they are also joined by the entire police department led by Nick. This book has many points in the plot where Finlay and Vero are trying to undertake their own detective work under the noses of everyone else and there are many close calls, which makes this book hard to put down! This book has all the elements we've come to know and love in this series, with many unbelievable situations that Cosimano adds her own hilarious spin to, and it once again ends on a cliffhanger - I can't wait to see how it all goes down in book 5!

Many thanks to Net Galley and St. Martin's Press for a DRC copy in exchange for my review. FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE is out 3/5/2024.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy. This is the fourth book involving Finlay and Vero and their wild adventures. Though these books are rather far fetched, I find them very entertaining and hilarious. I can’t wait for the next ones!

Rating: 5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ahhhhhh the girls are back and this time they are in one of my favorite places - Atlantic City!! I am a huge fan of gambling and while Finlay and Vero did anything BUT I still enjoyed the two navigating through the casinos and through the streets of AC.

Finlay and Vero are on a vacation with literally everyone, including Finlay’s ex, her mom, her new boo and sister, talk about awkwardddddddd. I was actually cackling out loud through so much of this book. I seriously think Vero and I would be the best of friends because she just has the darkest humor and absolutely no filter - its me hi!! I love her so much.

I flew through this one, it was witty and suspenseful and I loved the entire story from start to finish. I love how the ending of this one lets you know that once again this duo will be back!! If you’re looking for a fun, quirky, witty, suspenseful and (even) cozy series - look no further. I am obsessed and will be recommending this series forever.

I listened to this one via audiobook while simultaneously reading my eARC. Angela Dawe narrates the entire series and she is absolutely phenomenal. I loved everything about her narration. I love her! If your a big audiobook reader - this is one for you!!

Finally Donovan Rolls The Dice will be releasing on 3/5 - make sure get this one! Huge thank you to NetGalley, Elle Cosimano, Macmillan Audio and St. Martins Press, Minotaur Books for the eARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I am absolutely obsessed with this series. I was so excited to be approved for this advanced readers copy, especially because the third book ended on a cliffhanger and I needed to know what was going to happen next. I love the mix of mystery, comedy, and romance. I've recommended this series to many friends and even my mom, who is anxiously awaiting the publication of this instalment (she's first on her library waiting list!).

I can't wait to see what else Finlay, Vero, and company get up to next.

I have loved the Finlay Donovan series since the very first book, however "Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" is now my FAVORITE book in the series. I was on the edge of my seat, dying to know what happens next the entire book, while also genuinely laughing out loud because, of these dynamic and hilarious characters who truly do "leap off the page". This book went back to the roots of the first book in the best way possible with the suspenseful murder mystery vibes, high stakes, hilarious banter, and incredible friendships.

Something that really stood out to me about this book vs the others in this series was how absolutely bad ass all of the women are. Finlay has reached the point in her character development where she no longer is taking shit from anyone, not her shitty ex-husband, not the Russian Mob, not the Pit Bosses, not the corrupt cops, NO ONE. Vero's aways been a standout as the smart "take no shit one" of their duo, but her being emotional in this, made her even more of a bad ass to me and allowed me to appreciate her even more as a character. There will also be some women who surprise you who stand up to the men in this book & there's a lot of really powerful messages in it.

I know I know I know this isn't technically a romance novel, but as a romance girly I do always love to highlight the romantic parts of the series: At the end of "knocks em dead", Finlay ended the love triangle by making her choice between the two potential love interests, but even so, there is no lack of tension between her and the sexy cop- and there's still an overarching question of what is going to ultimately happen between them.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice picks up right where FD Jumps the Gun leaves off, which is a treat for readers and fans to be able to jump directly back into the story.

Finlay and Vero are heading to Atlantic City to locate Javi, when it turns into a Donovan family trip. Everyone ends up onboard for this adventure and needless to say, the shenanigans start to occur. Especially when sexy Detective Nick shows up!

Yes, there are a LOT of coincidences. However, this was a FUN read, there are dead bodies piling up, missing people to find, steamy love scenes, and great friendships and family dynamics. That's a lot for readers to enjoy.

I've enjoyed all the booked in the Finlay Donovan series, I would recommend these and this one included to mystery fans who enjoy a fun twist.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for providing an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Elle Cosimano hits it again with another installment in the Finlay Donovan series! As a native Jersey resident, this book hit different. Also, it hit even more because I have been to Atlantic City in the dead of winter, and it was so easy to picture everything that Cosimano painted for us. I was so happy to be reconnected with Finlay and Vero on yet another crazy adventure. All of their antics continue to crack me up, and I love how the kids are incorporated into each story. Somehow, someway Finlay always solves the case and ties it up in a nice little bow for us readers. I'm rating this a 4, but more like a 4.5.
