Look, I don’t care how over the top, crazy, or far-fetched the scenarios are that Finlay Donovan and Vero get into. If they’re getting into shenanigans, I will eat it up every time!!
Book 1 and 2 were GREAT! Book 3, was good, though fell a little shorter than 1&2, but I really think Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice was a win! The silliness, the crazy cast of characters, I love this series.
The story takes place in Atlantic City as Finlay and Vero go out in search of Javi and to finally wrap up their business with the mob and Vero’s loan sharks. And they take of….with the whole family in tow. Like their other adventures, this book is is a roller coaster as Vero and Finlay take on Atlantic City and try to settle everything once and for all.
I thought this book was really good! I loved it as a next installment to Finlay Donovan. I look forward to seeing the next book. And can’t wait to purchase this one when it comes out!
THANK YOU Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!! Can’t wait for the next Finlay Donovan adventure.

There are some book series that start strong and fizzle out as the series goes on, Finlay Donovan is NOT one of these. From book one this series has been the most entertaining I have read in a long time. There is not a character that I do not care for what they bring to the book, the dialog is superb, the plot is fantastic. The only thing I don't like about the series is the wait between books. I highly recommend the Finlay Donovan series! Thank you NetGalley for the advanced preview.
Okay this was my fave Finlay since the first one!! The storyline was easier to follow and I felt like it had a good amount of twists & things that kept me interested. I was very apprehensive to read it because I wasn’t a fan of #2 and #3 but I really did enjoy this! Will be reading #5!
A Finlay Donovan book is almost guaranteed to be a fun read and this one didn’t disappoint! I enjoyed following Finlay and Vero on a road trip but I felt like a few recurrent plot points didn’t get the attention I’d been hoping for. We’re still wondering what Steven’s up to and I didn’t feel like there was much growth in Nick and Finn’s relationship. Otherwise this was a quick and funny read.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s press for the ARC!
Another great installment in the Finlay Donovan series! Nice, quick, action packed reads! Thanks to St. Martin's Press and Minotaur Books for the advanced copy!
Finlay and vero are back at it again! This time with Finlay’s mom, ex-husband and her kids tagging along. The way these women manage to get themselves in, and out, of sticky situations is always amazing and funny. Pretty much everything came to a conclusion and was tied with a bow by the end…or was it? I thought for sure this was the last in the serious until the last page…
Oh boy are Finlay and Vero up to their eyeballs in trouble and dead bodies! Their chaos continues right after the Citizens Police Academy. And of course nothing goes right. Hilarious, messed up, and just wild, I had such a great time! The added background of Atlantic City and Money Bosses it’s even more fun! I love the ridiculousness of what they can get themselves into, and it’s a lot!
Thank you to St. Marin’s Press for my gifted copy
I read this book so fast because I really wanted to know what was going to happen. Once again we follow finlay and vero on their crazy adventures. This time they are in Atlantic city, trying to find Javi and of course new dead bodies show up.
This one was so much better than the last book. The action and suspense were back. The crazy antics of finlay and vero were way better.
FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE ⭐️⭐️💫/5. I felt like I rolled the dice with this series with reading this book. Finlay and her Nanny/partner in crime Vero head to Atlantic City, to strike a deal with a mob boss, hunt down a stolen car, and find a missing man. All with her mom/kids and ex-husband in tow. This book and series has come to an end in my mind. It’s just gotten so ridiculous that I am over it. I got halfway through the book and wanted to finish it to just move on than to see where it ends. I want Finlay to actually step it up and be a mob boss or want a story of her being a mother, this mix isn’t working in my opinion. Thank you NetGalley and St Martins Press for the ARC.
In “Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice.” Finlay and her nanny/partner in crime, Vero, are heading to Atlantic City to find Vero’s boyfriend and the stolen car. This is the fourth book on the series and picks up right after the fiasco at the Police Academy in Book 3.
For those new to the series, Finlay Donovan is a recently divorced suspense thriller author with two adorable kids, a sister who is a cop, and a nanny that is up for anything. She has found herself in some interesting situations, which is great for her writing career, but not so much for peace of mind. Elle Cosimano carefully intertwines dangerous crime bosses and illegal activities with mom worthy mini vans, cheerios for snacks, a struggling writing career and preschool potty talk to come up with a fast paced suspense thriller that is truly mom worthy.
This fourth installment is a continuation of the first three books that really need to be read in order to understand the plot through line. While some of the mom-ness, book writing, and relatable stumbling that I loved in the first two books was not as apparent, this is still a great fast paced read that kept me on the edge of my seat. It does look like there are more books in the future, however this one did provide some closure that book 3 did not, which I was thankful for. A fun suspenseful read with short chapters that are great for those that may be hiding from your kids or family duties for a little time alone 😜.
Wow! Elle Cosimano knocks it out of the park again with the fourth book of her Finlay Donovan series! Book four finds Finlay and Vero in Atlantic City in search of the Astin and the shenanigans that ensue while they try to hide what they are doing are typical Finn and Vero! Fun to the last page! My first five star read of the year!
Thank you,Netgalley, for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Yet another Finlay mystery to keep me satisfied until the inevitable next one comes out! I thought that this one was a bit slower paced than her other ones, and it took me a bit to get into the story. It's also been a long time since I read the last one in this series so I had definitely forgotten some major plot points. However, I did NOT forget our hot cop Nick. He is one of the best and most "pure" characters in this series and I can't help but love him. I thought the scenery change to Atlantic City was refreshing and added some much needed depth to our storyline. I did love how the ending all came together but still was messy enough to leave you wondering. Overall, another wonderful Finlay Donovan book!
This was interesting, definitely not my style of regular book but i enjoyed it a lot. Im intrigue by this character and definitely will love more books on this series .
Much like Vero, I'm way too invested in Finlay Donovan's life now! We are a team. That's how it feels as you read this series and Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is just as fun as the other books in this series. This time we are in Atlantic City which makes this book feel fresh in a new setting! Vero and Finlay have the best dynamic and it was so funny to see all the characters somehow end up all in one place. The epilogue gives us promise for a fifth book and I'll definitely be along for the ride. You can't go wrong when it comes to Finlay Donovan!
Finlay and friends are back in the fourth installment of this incredibly silly and chaotic series. I’ll admit, we’ve reached the point in this story where everything is ridiculous, but I love Finlay, Vero, and the whole gang too much to give up on finding out how this crazy ride is going to end!
It’s hard to say too much about this book without spoiling the first three, but I feel confident assuring long-time readers that there are a few loose ends tied up by the time you flip the last page. Don’t be fooled, there are still plenty of questions left to answer in the next installment, and I will definitely be along for the ride!
If you haven’t started this series yet and you are looking for a fun story to get lost in, you MUST read Finlay Donovan Is Killing It (the first in the series)! It’s pure escapism and will have you giggling, gasping, and rolling your eyes (in a good way!) until the very end!
Another funny, action packed cozy mystery featuring Finlay and Vero and a cast of wacky side characters. This book mainly takes place in Atlantic city and has a lot going on. I enjoyed the greater focus on Vero and her second chance romance with a childhood friend/flame. Overall this wasn't my fav in the series but it was still an entertaining read and good on audio. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
Thank you so so so so much to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for giving me this precious book in advance!
All opinions expressed are my own.
Let's talk about this book!
This book was a roller-coaster.
We got Atlantic City, we got Casinos, guns, a cute but mean dog, we have it all.
We left Finlay still threatened by Felix and and there seems to be no solution, without dirtying the criminal record.
Vero, has also another threat ruining her file, his name is Marco Toscano.
Obviously, the only solution that makes sense for our heroines is to go on a girl trip. And by girl trip i mean going to Atlantic City and get in trouble.
The only thing and this is not a normal girl trip, the all gang is going: kids, Steven, Finlay's mother,Nick, Sam, Georgia, Charlie.
Goodbye to a peaceful trip.
This is absolutely the craziest book of the series.
With this story, Felix comes full circle, but the problem are not over.
I liked this book more than the previous one.
If you don't know who is Finlay donovan, please go buy the first book immediately. 'Cause Finlay Donovan is still killing it.
I love love loved the first couple books in this series. Book one is a favorite for me! This one wasn't quite the same on the feels level but still fun.
Finlay and Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but odds are—seeing as it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen car—it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along too, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.
This cozy mystery is book 4 in the Finlay Donovan series, and even though I really enjoyed the first book in the series, I'm still waiting to get this feeling back, and I'm thinking this will be the last I read. It picks up right after the third book's cliffhanger and ends on another cliffhanger, and everything in between is as unbelievable and OTT as the other books. It's getting redundant at this point. This series reminds me of the Stephanie Plum series. The books are quick and entertaining reads.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Missing cars, kidnappings, a cute dog, romance, and a male strip club....Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice has it all!
It picks up where the last novel left off, with Finlay and Vero in hot pursuit of a very expensive car and a very important man. They go to Atlantic City and begin their hunt, immediately finding more than they are bargaining for.
The book has the same humorous, irreverent banter as in the previous books, and is filled with all the characters we know and love, plus a few new ones. I loved the unexpected twists as I read the book, and can't wait to see what happens next! The novel ends on a cliffhanger, as we should expect by now....
Thank you to the publisher and #NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
