All the chaos you would expect from a Finlay Donovan book!

Book #4 picks up right where book #3 leaves off in this series and I'll be honest - it took me a bit to remember who everyone was and what was going on. (🗒: you do need to read earlier books in this series in order to pick up this one). While this book totally isn't believable and full of coincidences, it was funny. If you enjoyed the first 3 books, you'll enjoy this one.

Thanks, Netgalley for the ARC of this book!

Finlay and Vero are on their way to Atlantic City to hopefully rescue Vero's boyfriend. Everything is going according to plan...except they have to take Steven, Finlay's ex, and Finlay's mom invites herself along. In true Finlay fashion, everything goes wrong from page one, resulting in hijinks and high stakes in New Jersey.

I really loved book 1. Then Finlay got involved with the mob and I didn't like books 2 and 3 so much. I ended up liking this one a lot better than 2 and 3, which is good because I absolutely adore Finlay and her bumbling ways making things so much harder (and funnier!) than they should be. I've really not like the whole Russian mob aspect to the books and really like that this book did not seem to rely on that as heavily. The hot cop drama is always fun, but I do really kind of miss the law student. Vero is a ton of fun, and I love that we are slowly getting more and more information about her life before she hooked up with Finlay and became her nanny.

There were some plot holes that bothered me a bit in this one--Finlay kept disappearing a lot from the hotel room, and mom didn't seem to care at all, or even wonder where she was off to, and with Nick, the overprotective cop and her overprotective sister cop right across the hall....she sure got away with leaving without notice and being gone for HOURS with no one really seeming to notice she was gone?

I still really enjoyed the book--much more than I did the previous two. Finlay is getting her groove back and I am actually excited to read the next book in the series!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book in return for an honest review.

Finlay and Vero are at it again getting swept up into a sticky situation. Well written, funny, and great pacing. I love this series so much and characters are great. You even may start to like some of the characters you didn’t before. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a comedic mystery. Can’t wait for the next book!

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/sidekick/best friend Vera are back in their newest adventure in Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice. It takes place immediately following the events of the previous novel. Now Finlay, Donovan, and the rest of the gang are heading to Atlantic City to find Vera's former boyfriend. As with the previous novels, things are easier said than done when you've got Vera and Finlay involved.

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend reading them in order starting with Finlay Donovan is Killing It. This is my second favorite novel in the series after Killing It. This is a fun cozy-ish mystery series that I love diving into each year.

Thank you to Minotaur Books and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for review consideration.

I bought the first book in this series based entirely on the description and the series has just continued to get more fun as it goes. In the first book, someone mistakenly identifies Finlay as a hitwoman and hilarity ensues, with Finlay and her babysitter Vero committing all kinds of insane acts to deal with the unforeseen results.
Finlay's husband left her before the first story starts, and she is now dating Nick, a police officer. In this story, Finlay, her ex, and the rest of her family head to Atlantic City. Of course, Finlay and Vero have their own agenda, and the body count piles up. Of course, there are secrets, the mob, and a dog named Kevin Bacon to keep the action going.
I am excited to see where this series goes next and also excited because I just found out there is a short story explaining how Finlay and Vero met!
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I cannot get enough of this series! This is book four in the series and I recommend reading the others first for background. I love Finley, Vero, Javi, and Nick! Finley and Vera are going to Atlantic City to rescue Javi from the loan shark. They weren’t anticipating Finley’s ex-husband, their two children, and her mother coming along to complicate things! This fast paced, mystery read will keep you laughing from beginning to end. I highly recommend this series if you like the Stephanie Plum series! You will love Finley Donovan! Thank you to St. Martins Press, Minotaur Books, and NetGalley for the chance to read and give my honest opinion!

Ugh, this was one that I wanted to LOVE but I just liked. It was a little more grusome than the other Finlay books. I love Finlay and she makes me laugh but it sort of felt like a little fizzle out.

I love Finlay Donovan. Although I do think the first in the series will forever be my favorite this one is a lot of fun. It is chaos in the best way. This one seemed to close a lot of doors but left some others open for the series to continue. Overall if you are looking for a light (but also dark?) ridiculous adventure and you happen to love foul mouthed moms you should pick this one up.

Honestly, I really enjoyed the first few in Finlay’s series but this one wasn’t a winner for me. I think it’s ran its course and it should have stopped after 2 books. I just couldn’t connect with the characters and I still dislike Steven!

This book follows Finlay, Vero, and literally all of their family and friends to Atlantic City and picks up right where the last book ended. Where the third book felt slower and less intriguing to me, this book felt engaging and more plot driven. It reminded me the most of the first book and I had a fun time seeing where this bananas series is going! I appreciated that some story threads were wrapped up but there’s quite a few mysteries still to be solved.

If you didn’t click with books two and three, then I recommend giving this one a shot! It’s another hilarious cozy mystery, and a great palate cleanser between heavier reads. Pub date 3/5/2024!

Thank you to @minotaur_books and @netgalley for this e-ARC!

I was nervous to jump back into Finlay's world after the disappointment of the last book but I'm glad I did. Finlay and Vero are back for more truly outlandish hijinks and we finally got some closure on everything they have been juggling. If you are already invested in the series and enjoy setting aside reality and embracing the outlandish coincidences and adventures that Finlay deals with on a daily basis, you'll love this book!

Finlay books do not disappoint. Vero and Finlay are off to Atlantic City to save Javi. However, the whole fam is in tow - her mom, kids, and ex-husband. Her cop BF Nick, her sister, her sister’s gf, and Nick’s friend, Charlie, all show up too. As usual, Finlay and Vero run around causing trouble and trying to fix problems (some of which they created). Overall fun story and I love their chaos. I also appreciate the fact that Finlay doesn’t let Steven push her around about the kids, knowing she deserves time to herself too, considering she is the full time caregiver.

Ultimately, I am so glad Vero and Javi finally acknowledged they are in love with each other after all these years. Nick and Finlay seem cute, but can he survive all her secrets? Some are rough, so we shall see in future books!

Finlay and Vero are back! Well, them, plus the kids, and Vero’s mom, oh and Steven. When everyone jumps on their “girls trip” to Atlantic City, including the FBI and Nick and friends, Vero and Finlay have to find ways to sneak out to take care of their issue. AKA getting Javi and the Aston Martin back from the loan shark Marco they owe money too…

Oh man these ladies are always getting themselves into more and more trouble! This book follows the typical Finlay/Vero disasters. Mobsters, loan sharks, dead bodies, dirty cops, and a hot detective all make their appearance during this “girls trip” to Atlantic City. This was a fun and quick read that was so enjoyable as I have come to expect from Cosimano and the Finlay series!

It was slow at first, but as usual, it started to pick up closer to the middle of the story. Something about how Finlay and Vero always seem to get themselves into trouble really tickles me, lol. Also, I don't know if I'm completely oblivious, but I can NEVER guess how it will all end! And that's why I keep coming back to this series. Soo good, and I can't wait to read about what kind of trouble Finlay and Vero will get into next!

Finlay Vero, and the whole fam are back right where we left them in the last book. There’s a new setting in this one with the gang heading to Atlantic City. I love the shenanigans that Finlay and Vero find themselves in but it almost felt like too much with this book. I’m glad that a few of the loose ends are tied up by the end of this book and I will definitely be back for the next. 3.5⭐️
Thanks to Netgalley for an advanced copy.

After the cliffhanger from book three, I NEEDED to know what was going to happen. Turns out, it’s a road trip rescue that brings back the entire cast we have come to love. The story was ridiculous in the best ways and was a fun, easy read. Kevin Bacon gets allllll the stars 😍 This book mostly wraps up the series arc, although there is a loose thread from book three we don’t see resolved. That, and the last sentence of the epilogue, means we will get more Finlay and crew and I can’t wait.

As always, Finlay is a delight. I know when I open a Finlay book, I'm going to laugh. Not only do I laugh but I get a really solid mystery. Finlay always has too much on her plate and she always handles it with humor and competence. As a series, Cosimano does an excellent job of keeping up updated on our favorite characters while still introducing us to new ones. I love this series.

It's another fun installment of the Finlay Donovan series. I love all the characters in this series and the banter between them all is hilarious. You definitely need to go into these books knowing that although it's a mystery/thriller novel, they are also supposed to be funny. They always manage to make me laugh.

In "Rolls the Dice", Finlay and Vero take a road trip to Atlantic City, and (un)fortunately all the sub-players in the series tag along.... Finaly's ex-husband Steven and their 2 rambunctious kids, plus Finlay's mother. Then more show up in this whirlwind adventure and of course chaos ensues. Dead bodies, mob bosses, and more.

An entertaining book for sure. Grab the popcorn and enjoy the ride!

I am sure I have said this before about the Finlay Donovan books by Elle Cosimano, but why oh why are they not made into films! They would be so good and they have it all, action, romance, mystery, murder and of course the books are hilarious with wonderful relatable characters.
This book is quick paced but also with a great plot and the way the characters intertwine works so well and it is all tied up at the end (almost).
I can’t wait for the next one!

Finlay and Vero are at it again- these two best friends find themselves in the worst situations. The first half was a tad slower than the other 3 books, but Cosimano is sure to have you laughing out loud! I’m usually not one to love endings like this one had, but I am happy to know we will get more of Finaly and Vero soon!

For future reference though, the kids should have been taken for a walk or something rather than literally stuck in a hotel room for days!

Thank you Netgalley, Elle Cosimano, and Minotaur Books for an eARC of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice in exchange for my honest review!
