Absolutely hooked from start to finish! This book's non-stop plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, blending action, romance, and humor. While it falls just shy of a perfect score, the 3.75 stars reflect a thrilling ride with engaging characters and a plot that never lets up. A must-read for those who crave a rollercoaster of emotions and genres!"

Finlay and Vero are at it again, and this time their shenanigans lead them to a weekend in Atlantic City. What starts out as a girls' weekend ends up including Finlay's ex, Finlay's mom, and several police officers, including Nick and Finlay's sister.

And then of course, would it even be a Finlay Donovan book if there wasn't another dead body she stumbles upon?

I love these books and this was another solid addition to the series, even if some things feel like they're repeating themselves. The love triangle is thankfully done with (sorry if that's a spoiler, but I'd be annoyed if it was dragged across four books), but Finlay's life still gets more and more complicated. I did think the ending felt like things were starting to wrap up some, but apparently there's going to be seven books in the series. No matter how many books there end up being, I'll still be here for the ride.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Minotaur Books for my eARC!

This isn't my favorite Finlay but, another fun ride! This is a lot more action packed than book 3 and was a lot of fun. There was so much action and so much going on you missed some character and story development. However, if you have read the first 3...keep going. You won't regret it!

Exactly what I expected from Elle which I find usually hard to find in the third book of a series. Fit right into the series and kept me hooked throughout. The characters and storyline kept me hooked. Couldn’t recommend enough.

"Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" by Elle Cosimano is another entertaining installment in the Finlay Donovan series. Finlay and her partner-in-crime, Vero, embark on what is supposed to be a girls' weekend in Atlantic City but quickly turns into a high-stakes adventure involving a dangerous loan shark, a missing childhood crush, and a stolen car.

The plot is filled with humor, suspense, and a touch of romance as Finlay and Vero find themselves entangled in a complex web of schemes and deceit. The inclusion of Finlay's ex-husband Steven and her mother adds an extra layer of chaos to the mix, making the girls' weekend anything but relaxing.

As they attempt to negotiate with the loan shark and locate their missing targets, the story takes unexpected turns, leading to the discovery of a murder that puts Finlay and Vero in a precarious position. The addition of police officers searching for a missing person adds another layer of tension, especially considering Finlay's history with one of the officers.

The narrative is fast-paced, and the witty banter between characters keeps the reader engaged. While the storyline may be far-fetched, it delivers on the promise of humor and excitement. The resolution of the various plot threads brings a satisfying conclusion to the novel, leaving readers entertained and eager for more Finlay Donovan adventures.

Overall, "Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" is a delightful addition to the series, offering a mix of humor, suspense, and romance in the unique style that fans of the series have come to enjoy.

Finlay and Vero need a weekend away, but their trip to Atlantic City is just a cover story to negotiate a deal in order to save Vero’s old flame, Javi. They end up being joined on the trip by Finlay’s mom, kids, and Steven, her ex-husband. It’s really a party when her sister, her sisters FBI fiancée and Nick, Finlay’s detective boyfriend show up. Turns out that this rescue mission is going to be a lot more complicated than they bargained for. Will they be able to pull this off?

Ah Finlay, what will you get up to now? This book! Ah! It picked up right where we left off in the last book. This is a series that you most definitely need to read in order to get it to make sense, and I’m proud to say I’ve done just that (it doesn’t happen often!). I love all the hijinks that Finaly and Vero get up to and in this one there is no shortage of them. Are these books realistic? Absolutely not. Nothing about them is realistic and I think for me that is why they work so well. They are fun, light-hearted, get lost in pretending, type books and I just love them.

I loved how this book incorporated all my favorite characters despite taking place in Atlantic city, so much fun. We got to see all the recurring characters, just in Atlantic Series. I enjoyed getting to see a softer more relatable side to Steven in this one. Yes, I still hate him, but I appreciated that he was actually trying to have a relationship with his kids in this one. Also, the romance between Finaly and Nicki is amazing, but I love that it isn’t the focal point of the books. I’m all for romance, but it isn’t something I need in this series, though I wouldn’t mind seeing Nick and Finlay go a little further in the future.

The pacing on this one was perfect, which was nice because I didn’t want to put it down. I was so engrossed in the story I just needed to know how it all played out. The writing was very entertaining. I loved how humor was entwined into the pages so that it felt natural and realistic, despite being utterly unrealistic situations.

This series is an auto-read series for me and based on how this one ended, I cannot wait for the next one! This book is the perfect addition to the series and if you’ve loved the first three books, you’ll love this one.

Thank you so much to St. Martins Press, Minotaur Books, @minotaur_books the author @ElleCosimano and Netgalley @netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Finlay and Vero are at it again - causing excessive stress from their stupid decisions while also making me laugh through the ongoing sexual tension. While the storyline is obviously far-fetched, I enjoyed this book more than the last couple Finlay adventures due to the much cleaner and final endings. I would have assumed this was going to be the end of the series if not for the last couple paragraphs. I’m looking forward to what Mrs. Haggerty’s been up to 👀 Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

I must hand it to Elle Cosimano…she keeps her Finley Donovan series going, with lots of action and intrigue and consistent characterization. Unfortunately, a lot of the antics between Finley and her best gal pal Vero seem tried and true and portions of the plot seem redundant. I understand how difficult it must be to create a series such as this and keep everything fresh and unique, so I applaud Ms. Cosimano for remaining true to her characters. However, even though I do enjoy the Finley Donovan series, I think it may be time for this talented author to move on to something different. Just my opinion.

The Finlay Donovan series never disappoints! I was so excited to receive an advanced copy of the newest installment of this series, especially after being left on the previous cliffhanger.

This novel has the same essence that it's readers have enjoyed thus far: moments for belly laughing, kidnapping and murder, and relatable main characters. Picking up right where the story left off, Finlay and Vero find themselves on a road trip to Atlantic City to "take care of business" and maybe have a little fun at the same time. There's so many twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and attempting to piece together the ending.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice brings back all of our favorite characters, presents new challenges, and poses new threats to our favorite FMC, Finlay. If you've enjoyed the other installments in this series, then picking this book up should be a no brainer!

Travel to: Atlantic City

I've said it before and I'll say it again: these books are just pure ridiculous, over the top, FUN. The hijinks that Vero and Finlay get into are just too unhinged, and I love it. Add more scenes with Hot Cop (thank goodness the love triangle is over), and you've got yourself another winner from Elle Cosimano. I definitely think Finlay should do a bit less chasing bad guys and a bit more parenting because her children are absolute monsters, but I suppose she can't help it that dead bodies keep falling into her lap. The arc from the previous couple of books gets wrapped up in this one, and it seems that a new mystery arc begins. There are also some lingering questions about Steven that I would like to see answered in the next book, but it might be fun to speculate in the meantime.

If you've read this, what do you think is Steven's deal?

I’m a little over this series at this point. I was very confused at a lot of the choices Finlay and Vera made throughout and I’m not sure I’ll continue reading the series. Fun enough shenanigans to keep reading and wanting to know how everything would turn out. For someone invested in the series I’d say to read it, but someone just starting the series I’d say the first three are great and this one didn’t do it for me.

Thank you netgalley and St. Martin's press for sending me the ARC of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice in place of a review.

Finlay Donovan is back for another brilliant and entertaining adventure. I have read all 4 books and not one has disappointed me. These are a fun and light hearted read that you can fly through and laugh with.

I feel you must start at the beginning of this series as all these book connect wonderfully.

Finlay and Vero end up on a road trip to Atlantic City because Javi is kidnapped. They go with Finkay's ex husband, two kids, and her mother. Can she solve the murders and keep boyfriend Nick out of the loop of the dead bodies she has came across?

This book has far more adventure and crime stopping and trouble. Buckle up for this one cause Elle Cosimano is taking you for a wild ride.

Also something worth mentioning is I love The Plum Series by Janet Evonovich and I feel if you like those you will like this series as well. Fun, comedy, hot person of interest, and shenanigans.

I binge read this series so fast and was super happy to be able to read the fourth book as a review copy from NetGalley. Finlay and her comrades are full of hilarious hijinks and I enjoyed every word.

Elle Cosimano can really do no wrong. Every story of Finaly and Vero keeps me hooked from the very first page.
Cosimano has a way of writing that makes you laugh but also has the ability to keep you on the edge of the page (or your seat) for its entirety.
I look so forward to reading all the books from this series and cannot wait for the next!!!!

Another great read in this series. This book is about needing a girls trip to Atlantic City. Finley has her mother and ex husband dragging along on this journey. The loan shark is trying to give problems and lots of other issues. A really good and interesting read in this series.

Finlay, a mother and writer, and Vero, the babysitter, are back to take on the mob, corrupt cops, and get into more crazy shenanigans along the way! Another funny and engaging cozy mystery by Elle Cosimano. This is the fourth in the series and finally I felt like it lived up to the first book which was my favorite. Quick paced and fun read. Thank you to Netgalley and Minotaur Books for an ARC in exchanged for my honest feedback.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley, Minotaur Books and Elle Cosimano for the advanced reader copy.
Finlay & Vero are back for the 4th installment of the series and I loved it just as much as the first 3. This time around, my favorite duo are roadtripping to Atlantic City for another wild adventure! Once again, the characters were so fun & I was pulled into the story immediately. Great book & great series!

Elle does it again! This book was fantastic and I couldn’t put it down! I enjoyed this book a little more than the third but the Finlay books will always be an auto read for me because the characters are always so delightful

I truly enjoy this series and "...Rolls the Dice" does not disappoint! This is a continuation of the last book, "jumps the Gun" and picks up right where the last one left off. Finlay, Vera and crew find themselves in Atlantic City while still pursued by, well, everyone. If you were frustrated that the last book didn't really wrap up the plot line, you'll find satisfaction here. The character development is strong as we learn more about Vera's past and Finlay is growing into her assumed role as the heroine, and all the while Ellie Cosimano keeps the witty banter flowing. It's not a stand-alone, and if you're jumping in I do recommend starting from the start, but it's a fun ride and the books are quick reads, so it's worth the journey.

I cannot get enough of this series! Finlay and Vero’s adventures are so ridiculous (and ridiculously fun to read) that I can’t resist finishing the whole book in a day or two every time I get my hands on one of them. This latest installment picks up right where the last book left off and has the friends road tripping to Atlantic City under the guide of a girls’ trip. With Finlay’s mom and Steven in tow and the rest of the usual suspects around, of course hijinks ensue. Finlay and Vero have to solve another mystery to save themselves while on their mission to rescue Javi, all while keeping their hijinks a secret from their friends and Finlay’s family. As usual, this is not a realistic or gritty mystery or action story and it doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it just as a fun ride as the other books have been. If you’ve enjoyed the other Finlay Donovan books, make sure to continue the fun with this one. If you haven’t read them before, I highly suggest starting at the beginning of the series so you can enjoy the whole story. This one had a lot going on, and there seemed to be an almost overwhelming number of characters to keep track of, but I appreciated that none of the loose ends from the past books were dropped or forgotten, so it was sort of necessary to bring all of those elements in. These books are always fun and the characters are witty and likable (yet flawed) so they are fun to root for even as they stumble through the bizarre events that always seem to follow them. These books are always a fun read that I can’t seem to put down, and I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!
