Ahhhhhhh!!!! Finlay! My favorite book in the series by far. You are not going to want to miss this. I love this series and how dynamic and multifaceted it is. It’s funny, it’s thrilling, it’s twisty, I love it. 5/5 stars! Thank you for allowing me to read this advance copy!
Set to publish 3/5/24
Huge thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Finlay Donovan is one of my absolute favorite book characters and this was another great book added to the series
I love that theres always a mystery that Finlay & Vero are trying to solve while still incorporating suspense &providing comedic relief 😆
I enjoyed this story and liked the ending
too!!😇
I feel like this book helped conclude a chapter in Finlay's story while still leaving the door open for more storylines 🤞🏻 I have my fingers crossed there will be another book
This book gets all the stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 from reading my first finlay donovan book to the 4th book I've been on a wildly, funny, nerve racking, heart pounding ride! Thank you netgalley for graciously approving me to read this 4th installment of the Finlay saga. I laughed, gasped and could not stop thinking about this book and had to read it every chance I got. I highly and unequivocally recommend this book👌 Elle Cosimano knows how to engage her readers and keep them guessing and entertained!
Hello to the new Stephanie Plum. Once again Finley Donovan is in the mix of a murder and missing person all while “trying” to keep up her persona of how would I know? Plus, I really like her and the supporting characters in her stories.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC! Finlay Donovan is one of my favorite book character and this was another good one added to the series. I love that there is always mystery/suspense while also providing comedic relief. I feel like this helped close a chapter in Finlay’s story while also leaving the door open for more storylines.
Unbeknownst to them, Finlay and Vero go on a road trip to Atlantic City with Finlay's ex-husband, their two kids and her mother. Finlay and Vero are on a mission to rescue Javi, locate a stolen Aston Martin and negotiate a deal with a loan shark. Of course, things don't go as planned as the entire police force (or what feels like it) shows up unexpectedly and Finlay and Vero continue to find themselves in bigger messes. Finlay and Vero will now need to juggle spending time with everyone to appear normal, completing what they came to Atlantic City for, and everything in between.
Reading this series is always a fun time and the fourth installment was no different. It picks up right where book #3 ends so I do recommend reading this series in order. Finlay and Vero always got unbelievably lucky in the situations they found themselves in--making it sometimes hard to fully immerse myself in the story. I thought this was going to be the last book in this series with the way things were wrapping up in the last few chapters. But, I was surprised when it took a turn by the very end and it seems a 5th book is in the works! I hope for more Finlay x Nick moments in the next book and really see their relationship develop.
I enjoyed this more than the 3rd book but the first two novels remain my favourites.
Thanks to Minotaur Books for the eARC.
This is my 4th Finlay Donovan book in this series. I am emotionally tied to these characters now. I absolutely love Finlay as a woman and a mother and find myself relating to her more mundane daily mishaps. This story takes the dynamic duo to Atlantic City and taking on some mob / loan sharks. It was not as believable as the previous storylines, but entertaining nonetheless. I loved that this particular storyline comes to a close at the end of this book and opens us up for another in books to come.
This is a wild ride that barely gives the reader time to breathe. Finlay Donovan wants a quiet girls’ weekend in Atlantic City with her best friend and nanny Vero. That was the hope. But enter her ex-husband Steven, her children Zach and Delia, kidnapped friend Javi (Vero’s boyfriend), kidnapper Marco Toscano, her mother, her current love interest Detective Nick Anthony, Nick’s corrupt partner Charlie Cox, two dead bodies in a bathtub, and Kevin Bacon, Marco’s dog. The characters are rich and fun, the setting perfect, and just when you think you know what will happen next, you’re wrong. This story bangs off one wall and then the other, travels at break-neck speed, and is laugh-out-loud funny. You will love Finlay. Very highly recommended.

Thank you to everyone for this early gifted copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice!
All I gotta say is Finlay does it again. I’ve never been disappointed by her, by Elle or by this series. It’s fun, it’s entertaining, it keeps you on your toes and hooked the entire time.
Without any spoilers, I will say that I enjoyed this book more than book number 3, and I think that it’s a series that should have a refresher before reading each book (a year in between is a long time to remember things lol)
I really enjoyed Finlay and Vero in this book. I felt like they were a very cohesive team this time around, and the entire premise of the book was very entertaining. I’m curious if there will be another book….or maybe some spin off series? I wouldn’t be mad about either….
Spending a day off reading the most recent installment of Finlay Donovan was a joy. Though this was probably my least favorite book of the series thus far, I enjoyed this chaotic cozy mystery. Looking forward to the next book already!
Thank you St. Martin’s Press on NetGalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for a e-copy for an honest review.
Get the popcorn ready when you read this book!
I have been loving this series and this book did not disappoint. It had mobsters, Atlantic City, a little steam, a lot of action. Could not put it down!
I loved how we are following Finlay and Vero in each book get themselves into sticky situations and manage to “write the story” to save themselves. I also love that whatever happens in Finlays real life, she uses it as “inspiration” for the novel she is writing (if only everyone knew, lol)
I love Nick (Finlays current love interest)… and I love to hate Stephen (ex-husband).
Okay- I didn’t think Finlay Donovan could get any better….and then I read this book. While I was absolutely expecting to love whatever Elle had written already, it far exceeded my expectations. It also left us with the promise of another book along the line???? FINGERS CROSSED. The only thing I would wish for is more of Nick and Finlay. I know the storyline is primarily based on Finlay and Vero’s antics…but a little spice doesn’t hurt. THE best friendship of Vero and Finlay is something I truly admire, I love laughing out loud to them and imagining what they’ll get into next. Thank you to NetGalley and Elle Cosimano for letting me read this a little early in exchange for honest feedback.
With every Finlay Donovan book I fall more and more in love with the Finlay and the cast of characters that surrounds her. In this one the setting of Atlantic City, the gambling, mayhem and sneaking around behind the backs of her cop sister and boyfriend was so fun and I could not put it down!
I am so glad I got to review this one early and cannot wait to see what happens next! Also I’m still convinced that Stephen is sketchy and that eventually he will be caught up in all this mess!
This was a rollicking rollercoaster of a read that had me hooked from the very beginning. This thrilling adventure takes Finlay Donovan and her trusty partner-in-crime, Vero, on a girls' weekend getaway to Atlantic City, which turns out to be anything but ordinary.
The story is a delightful blend of humor, suspense, and unexpected twists that kept me eagerly turning the pages. I loved the unique premise of using a girls' trip as a cover story for a daring mission to negotiate with a dangerous loan shark, save a childhood crush, and hunt down a stolen car. The way that the plot weaves together these seemingly unrelated elements is both clever and entertaining.
The characters in this book are a real treat. Finlay Donovan, with her wit and resourcefulness, is a relatable and endearing protagonist. Her dynamic with Vero adds a layer of humor and camaraderie that I thoroughly enjoyed. And the addition of Finlay's ex-husband and mother as unexpected passengers on their adventure only adds to the chaos and hilarity.
As the story unfolds, the stakes get higher, and the mystery deepens. I was on the edge of my seat as Finlay and Vero faced one obstacle after another, from a stubborn loan shark to a decomposing body. The plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns, and I was kept guessing until the very end.
One of the standout elements of the book is the witty and engaging writing style of Elle Cosimano. The dialogue is sharp, the humor is on point, and the pacing is spot-on. I found myself laughing out loud at several moments and couldn't help but admire the author's skill in crafting such an entertaining narrative.
The four star rating is there was a few moments when the plot felt a tad convoluted, and I had to suspend my disbelief a bit more than usual. However, this didn't diminish my overall enjoyment of the book.
In conclusion, this was a thrilling and humorous ride that will keep you entertained from start to finish. If you're looking for a fun and fast-paced read with a cast of lovable and quirky characters, I highly recommend picking up this book. Elle Cosimano has created a delightful world of chaos and adventure that you don't want to miss.
This series never disappoints! It’s full of suspense, action, and humor. It picks up right where we were left off in book three. This may be my favorite one yet! Looking forward to seeing what else Finlay can get into.
SHES DONE IT AGain. i’m glad that a lot of the unnecessarily long plot points are finally dead. i need easyclean to do her fucking job and can’t wait for the 5th one.
Finlay and Vero are planning a girls weekend to Atlantic City. This seems like a great idea but it turns out this isn’t your typical girls weekend. You see Javi is missing after being taken from Ramon’s garage, the Aston Martin is stil missing and Feliks is on the loose. Before the trip even begins Finlay and Verona’s job gets even more complicated when Finlay whole family decides to join them and Nick is also on his way to protect them.
Upon arriving, Finlay and Vero are once again confronted by dead bodies. They must now juggle hiding their past, finding Javi, spending time with their family and acting like everything is normal.
This was another fun read following the adventures of Finlay and Vero. I also think it’s either my favourite or second favourite book of the series. There were so many twists and turns that kept things fresh and entertaining. It was also great to continue to see the progression of the various characters that appear throughout the series. Some of the other books I found to be far fetched at times but this one was the opposite for the most part. The book wrapped up in a perfect way and everything unraveled at a nice pace throughout the story. I’m not sure where the series goes from here but I am excited to see what the author has up her sleeve next for Finlay.
I sped read this series in a span of a week. Books 1-3 were a reread because i was already a fan. I was so excited to receive this ARC. The ending was perfect and left me so nervous but the final sentence was jaw dropping. I loved this entire series so much and have such a book hangover now that it’s over.
OMG, this book had me in stitches! Elle Cosimano's characters and plot are pure gold. A girls' weekend in Atlantic City turns into a wild adventure involving a loan shark, a missing crush, and a stolen car. Add in an ex-husband and a meddling mom, and you've got a recipe for perfect book. But when a murder complicates things, the story becomes a rollercoaster of humor and suspense.
The fourth book in the Finlay Donovan series was so much fun! It felt a lot like the first to me, a blast from start to finish. Finlay and Vero are back getting into messes trying to save Javi, clear Vero’s debt, and get the Aston back. But this time, the whole family is joining the trip to Atlantic City. I loved the time we got to spend with Finlay’s mom too! And that cliffhanger!! I’m already eagerly awaiting the next book!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and Elle Cosimano for the ARC of this book!
