The fourth book in such a great series takes a trip to Atlantic City, as it picks right up where things left off in #3. The amount of anxiety I felt reading this 😅 as Finlay, a mom and romance author, and Vero, Finlay’s kids’ nanny, continue to get caught up in all the shenanigans. I liked that this one let us see a softer side of Vero, while still showcasing her badass, tough as nails personality. And I can’t decide if Finlay is the ultimate super sneak, or if Nick, Finlay’s cop love interest, is in denial - or both? Either way, I’m so excited to see what mess they get into next!

PS for those wondering, I would definitely recommend reading this series in order - you don’t want to miss a single adventure!

Oh my goodness what a wild and crazy fun ride! I have enjoyed this series so much and it seems like it may be set up for a 5th book!

Finlay and Vero just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. This book picks up directly after the last book. They are running and hiding from bad guys and trying to find Vero’s childhood friend who was kidnapped.

The hilarity of the situations these two find themselves in will leave you laughing out loud.

This is the fourth Findlay book. It’s fun, BUT, it’s not a stand alone book. Like Stephanie Plum, the reader has to know the characters or get lost. Honestly, I feel this should probably end this series since there should be limits on the number of bodies and subplots.

This is a great way to end, with a visit to Atlantic City. The characters are likable and the writing crisp, but time to move on.

Thank you Netgalley for another romp.

Finlay and Vero take a trip to Atlantic City (and for some reason bring their whole family and Finlay's cop boyfriend and his crew tag along?) More madcap murder comedy ensues. Loan sharks, stolen cars, fancy hotel rooms, dead bodies, and secrets- all the things you'd expect from Finlay and her crew.

This wasn't necessarily my favorite Finlay Donovan book, but I continue to think how brilliant Cosimano is at her books sticking to somewhat of a formula, but with different dilemmas and creative settings that actually make sense for her story. This series gets an endorsement from me, and I love seeing what zany things will happen when Finlay is around.

Thank you to Netgalley for the advance copy for review.

This book was so fun! I really enjoyed this installment in the series. Finlay was as entertaining as ever. I like how her character seems to have matured along with the books. There were many funny scenes, and I love the friendship between Finn and Vero. I'm glad to have learned more about Vero in this book. The plot was fast moving and kept me interested. I look forward to the next one!
Thanks to Net Galley for the book to review.

Thanks to NetGalley for my gifted copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the fourth installment in this series.
In this adventure, we find Vero and Findley heading out on the road for a girls trip! Destination: Atlantic City! This book doesn’t miss a beat and is seamless in its continuation of the story of book 3. Hijinks ensue and the girls embark on a thrilling ride of kidnapping, stolen money, the mob, a hotel wedding, and Kevin Bacon! So fun! 4.5 stars rounded up!

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but odds are―seeing as it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen car―it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along too, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.

These books just keep getting better and better. Finlay and Vera are my heroes!

I really enjoyed this book! This is probably my second favorite book after the first Finlay Donavan book.

The writing is quirky, clever, and it sucks you in. I will say there was a lull after the third book, but this one brought the action and energy back. It did leave on a cliffhanger, so I am interested to see where it's going. Each book is essentially on a rinse and repeat cycle and has the same formula. Some parts were just ridiculous and unrealistic, but that would be my only complaint. All in all, this brought the energy back!

The dynamic duo is back! I had so much fun joining Finlay and Vero on their next excursion. This installment takes them to Atlantic City which was such a fun setting. Having visited AC several times, it was such a treat to really get a sense of the setting from this perspective. There were several laugh out loud moments and of course situations that you just cannot believe these two have gotten themselves into. I enjoyed this book a lot and I love Finlay and Vero more and more each time.

Another wonderful adventure for single-mom extraordinaire Finlay Donovan. This time, Finlay's adventures take her to Atlantic City along with her trusty nanny/accountant/partner-in-crime Vero, but this time they're also joined by Finlay's mother, her two young children, and her ex-husband, none of whom are aware of the real reasons that Finlay and Vero need to go to New Jersey. Finlay and Vero continue to find themselves in both hilarious and harrowing situations, all in an effort to stop mob boss Feliks and rescue a loved one that's been kidnapped.

I picked up the first Finlay Donovan book on a whim and immediately fell in love with this character and have enjoyed every adventure. All I can say is that I hope that a 5th book is in the works!

I’ve read every Finlay book and each one is just as fun as the next. If you need something to change up your reading moods, these books will always do the trick!

One does have to wonder, how many times Finlay can be around dead bodies while dating a police officer and being related to one. 🤪 will she ever confess, I don’t know!

This story had a bit of cursing in it, a little bit of closed door discussion, but never descriptions.
They are in Atlantic City, so you will find things like strippers and gambling, drinking and mention of drugs.

One thing I haven’t loved about these books are how children are mentioned. They are just left to wait around for their mom to “save the world”. I feel like the children’s and ex- husband characters are written a little poorly and Inconvenient almost.

Team Finlay forever. 🎲 These books are just so much fun and I can’t get enough of them. Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice picks up right where the third book left off (so you might want to give yourself a quick refresher before picking this one up in March). I will say this book was all over the place at times but I do feel that Elle Cosimano does a great job tying it all together. The ending (this one especially) always leaves me wanting more. And I guess that is the goal, right? The characters are so fun to read about and learn more about. These books are ones that I could absolutely see myself picking up and reading a few times.

Do I need to know more about certain characters in this book? Absolutely.

Will I read the next book? No doubt about that one.

Will I buy the fourth book even though I just read an early copy? Duh.

Do I need Elle Cosimano to sign a copy of the fourth book for me since all my others are signed by her? I think so.

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press on NetGalley for the advanced reader copy in return for an honest review. Keep me in mind for book 5! 😉

I’ve read other Finlay books and this may be my favorite, excellent writing. Character development, storyline and cover are great. This book didn’t disappoint.

Another zany and outrageous adventure of Finlay and Vero! I’ll say that this is my favorite sequel yet, this installment keeps you on your toes and always guessing without giving too much away.

Finlay and Vero have ventured off to Atlantic City and while they intended to be alone just about everyone they know ends up there, making things exceedingly difficult in regards to tracking down a missing man and missing car. As usual the antics they get into are unpredictable and nail-biting (and I loved every minute of it).

5/5 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Minotaur for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. Oh how excited I was to get approved yet again for this ARC! Since I read the last installment as an ARC, if I had to wait until March, it would be TORTURE! What I love about this series is it legit picks up from the last one. I did have to reference the previous to remember who some of the characters were. This is mostly because of the sheer volume of books I read! I love Joe this one took the entire gang to Atlantic City, and we got see more of Finlay’s mom! @ellecosimano does such a great job at writing this series that is filled with humor and crazy antics, yet is full of mystery and keeps me on the edge of my seat! Without giving too many spoilers to the Finlay fans out there, but I enjoyed how this one, similarly to the last, continued to tie up some story lines while opening up a whole new can of worms for the next! Now to wait a year (or more if I can’t get an ARC!) for the next one! I cannot recommend this series enough! Check out book 4 on March 5, 2024!

The latest installment in the series follows a pretty much similar template where we see Finlay and Vero getting involved in mob and various killings along with having to take care of getting rid of bodies and what not. This time the action takes place in Atlantic city. I felt the first half to be more on the slower side but it picked up very nicely and came together in the last quarter. The plot is eccentric and over the top as usual and it was fun to read this one. The author leaves us with some clues about where the story is headed in the next one and I am more excited for that one already! For fans of Finlay, you will enjoy this fun ride again!

Finlay Donovan is the unexpected hero and I am living for it. Finlay and her "nanny" or friend you could say get involved in the Russian gangs in an unexpected twist. Initially the two decide to escape to Atlanta City to fix their "problem" and rescue someone but when Finlay arrives to pick up the kids from Stephen her ex husband things get a little twisted. What should be just the two turns into a whole family affair and then later into a family, boyfriend, dirty cop, and gang affair. Knowing Finlay things aren't always what they seem!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. The continuation of the story from the perfect book was fantastic but I do think it would be worth doing a small backstory in the beginning for context. With the time difference of the last book to the this book there are people who would probably forget certain things. With that being said, before you go to read this one I would highly suggest reading the other books or at least a synopsis of them to make sure you know the story line. Other than that this book was exactly what I expected from Elle and was perfect! I am interested to see if this Finlay story keeps going because I truly believe this is the most fun I have had reading in a long time!

OBESESED THE FINLAY DONOVAN BOOKS ARE ONE OF A KIND !! i THOUGHT IT WAS OVER WITH THE LAST ONE BUT ONCE AGAIN FINLAY AND VERO ARE UP TO ALOT OF FUN!

Finlay Donovan is at it again! Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is book #4 in the series and it picks up right were #3 leaves off. There is plenty of action and humor (and feminism) infused in the book which I am labeling a mystery although it doesn't entirely fit in the mystery/thriller genre. This book is a shape-shifter and feels a bit like a quirky romance with murder and suspense, yet it's humorous. Perhaps it could be described as a cross between a Sally Hepworth and Emily Henry novel. It is neither one or the other entirely, but a bit of both.

Reader beware! Do NOT pick up this book without reading the first three. This series is very plot driven and must be read in order. There is A LOT of plot, so a recap isn't really helpful and easy to spoil; therefore, I will skip it.

I thought the first book was pretty fun, but books 2-4 were a little less so for me. I wasn't sure if I would pick up book 3 or 4, yet I did because I really enjoy Finlay and Vero's friendship and mishaps they get into and out of together. If you are a reader who enjoys a touch of romance and humor infused with your hard-to-believe mystery books, look no further than the Finlay Donovan series!

Thanks for Netgalley and Minotaur Books for this incredibly fun ARC.
