Boom! Grant published a firecracker of a domestic thriller with this one. I was hooked from that start and yang my on for dear life through the wild twists and dramatic turns. I guessed most of how things would come to a close but was still surprised. Excellent read.
Thank you, NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the copy of Don’t Trust Her by Cathryn Grant. Can you rekindle a close friendship after 20 years? Dylan, Parker and Eden try when Eden comes home for the 20 year memorial for Dylan’s sister Celeste. Dylan and Parker are happily married with two kids, but is Eden still in love with Dylan? Are there undiscovered clues to Celeste's murder? The characters were all pretty obnoxious and Dylan, Parker, and Eden seem like they are still stuck in childhood/high school patterns. The main drawback is how predictable the story is, but it’s a fun ride getting there anyway because the writing propelled me through the book.
I liked this book but I just couldn't get into the story. I didn't like the writing style but overall the story was good.
It's not often I say a book is a must read but this..... is definitely one of those times!! This is so well written, it's multilayered and had multiple povs. It's got some amazing twists that I didn't see coming and I couldnt get through the pages fast enough. I absolutely loved it
Don't Trust Her, by Cathryn Grant, is one of the best psychological thriller I've read in a long time! What I love most is the way the author weaves together a storyline told from different perspectives at different times. If you love a shocking ending, this is the book to read!!
Don't Trust Her by Cathryn Grant is a twisty psychological thriller that will keep you on the very edge of your seat.
Twenty years ago, Dylan's sister Celeste was murdered, leaving behind a multitude of unanswered questions. Dylan has since married Parker, his childhood friend. But when their mutual friend Eden returns to town to attend a memorial service for Celeste, old feelings of jealousy and resentment begin to resurface, and Parker knows that she must hasten Eden's departure if she is to maintain a feeling of security within her marriage. When Eden starts to ask questions about Celeste's murder, the digging up of the past will threaten to damage and destroy even more lives.
This was a fast-paced read that I devoured. Cathryn Grant does not disappoint, and her latest will surely have readers flying through the pages.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for this ARC.
The book was a fast paced, twisty thriller. I definitely recommend it for anyone who likes a fast-paced read. Let’s see if you can guess the twist! I always tell my partner my theories and then come back to see if I was correct. I didn’t get this twist right so good on Grant for that twist.
Add this to your beach read list! Or your home for the holidays escape book.

Don't Trust Her takes readers on a suspenseful journey into the lives of the characters entangled in a web of secrets, mistrust, and a lingering unsolved murder. The story revolves around Dylan's efforts to memorialize his beloved sister, Celeste, who met a tragic end, but it quickly becomes clear that this memorial gathering will reawaken old tensions and hidden desires.
The book is undeniably fast-paced, making it an engaging and easy read. The author skillfully maintains a sense of tension and mystery throughout the narrative, which keeps the reader turning the pages. The central question of who murdered Celeste is an effective hook, drawing readers in and compelling them to uncover the truth alongside the characters.
However, as the review suggests, the plot's predictability can be a drawback. I found myself predicting the twists and developments, but that didn’t stop me from finishing this in one night.
Let’s also talk about Dylan's character. If the goal was to write a trashy husband - then honestly the author did a great job. Even though I know how this ends - Dylan not listening to his wife or taking her concerns seriously is such a red flag. I honestly wanted to punch him - he triggered my flight or fight.
In conclusion, this read was quick, entertaining yet predictable. The flawed characters and their interactions provide a thought-provoking exploration of trust, loyalty, and the dark secrets that can bind or unravel relationships.
I wholeheartedly endorse "Don't Trust Her" by Cathryn Grant for fans of psychological thrillers. The author skillfully weaves suspense throughout the narrative, using well-crafted characters and unexpected plot twists that will keep you in suspense until the very last page. This book is a true page-turner, delving into themes of trust and betrayal in a distinctive and captivating manner.
I extend my gratitude to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for granting me the opportunity to read and provide a review of this exceptional novel.
My favourite read by this author so far a powerful psychological thriller told in two timelines past and present. Plenty of twists and a strong storyline keep you engaged till the end.

Wow! This is a must read!! I could not put this book down! It kept me hooked from beginning to end! I finished this in one sitting! I could not recommend this enough! Thank you Grant for a great thrilling read!
DyLan's sister, Celeste was brutally murdered twenty years ago. Her anniversary memorial is the last one he will have for her.
His wife, Parker, and her friend, Eden were his childhood friends. Both girls were in love with him, but only one got to spend her life with him.
Eden has returned from Italy for the memorial and is staying with Dylan and Parker. Dylan feels comfortable, but Parker is resenting Eden's presence.
The man who has lived across the road all his life is found dead. It looks like an accidental death, but Eden is convinced he has been murdered. He revealed that he knew something about Celeste's death.
This is quite the page turner! The reader is drawn into the intricacies of a complicated relationship, where the women are in love with the same man, who is unaware that he is the centre of attention.
I unfortunately guessed quite early on who the murderer was in this novel, despite a few red herrings. Out of the characters, it wasn't hard to choose which one was the killer, it was only the motive of the killings. But all in all, the book is an entertaining read with a good build up of suspense.
Just chilling to know how normal a person can be for many years when they have committed a terrible crime like this.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Parker, Eden, and Dylan where childhood friends. Parker and Eden were best friends, until Parker and Dylan started to date. This caused a rift between her and Eden. But when Dylan's sister Celeste is murdered, things get even worse. Eden moves away, but now she is back. Why? Parker thinks Eden wants her husband, Dylan and her family. This story is told in the past and present times. I thought it went on too long with Parker wanting Eden to leave, but Dylan didn't want that to happen. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Do friendships really stand the test of time? For three friends, Parker, Eden and Dylan this question is put to the test. These friends since childhood drift apart after college, but was it the distance that separated them or something more? The memorial of Dylan’s sister Celeste brings Eden back to her home town. Now married with kids, Parker and Dylan open their home for their out of country guests as memories and questions arise. What actually happened to Celeste? Was everyone telling the truth? Was this friendship one that could last forever? The twists and turns in this book simply made this a great read. Although, I did predict the ending, the author added some interesting details that truly made me fall in love with the writing style. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a thriller with a multi narrative.
Thank you Cathryn Grant and Netgalley for the ARC of this book.
I love books where there is more than one narrator. And this one certainly did not disappoint.
Really kept me on the edge of my seat and the twists kept my attention, genuinely couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting.

The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me
What a fantastic book.
It had me gripped from the start going straight into the action, which kept going the whole way through.
It is well written with chapters of a good length and allows the reader to build a good picture of each character and their back stories by jumping between the present day and their younger years.
The twist towards the does become apparent before the big reveal, and the motive is also fairly obvious before the plot is complete.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend others to read.
At first appearance, Parker and Dylan have a perfect family. When their childhood friend Eden returns home, things start to change. Eden came back for the 20th anniversary of Dylan’s sister’s murder. Her comeback will open new questions about Celeste’s death and cause problems in Parker’s and Dylan’s marriage.
We follow three POVs in the past and present. I really liked this way of narrating, because it kept my attention throughout the whole novel. All in total, there are around 10 characters in the whole book, so the plot was easy to follow. I liked the dynamic between the characters and the way the author presented them to us. We can sense from the beginning some of them are trying to hide something. We learn a lot about the relationship between the three main characters. Why did they lose contact almost completely? How do each of them remember events from their past? And what are their plans for the future?
Here we have a mix of drama and light psychological thriller. Unfortunately, the plot was too predictable for me. I guessed how most of the things would resolve, so I missed having more tension and mystery. Maybe it is also connected to the fact that I read a lot of thrillers, so my expectations are quite high when it comes to this genre. Nevertheless, the story was interesting and I actually read it really fast. It was quite alluring to see how people (don’t) change from childhood to adult age and how some stories can never be forgotten.
I would recommend this book to readers who don't read thrillers so often, because I think the story can be more captivating to them than to those who are already big thriller lovers.
