The victim was a ghost debunker found dead in her own kitchen by the local knitting group in the town she recently moved to. So, of course, the knitters had to get into finding out more. I have read all the previous books, but still think that it could stand alone (followed by a binge read just for fun). The characters are so well done that I feel like I have met them in person and the investigation is well done with sneaky red herrings and a couple of interesting twists. Loved it!
I requested and received an EARC from Kensington Books/Kensington Cozies via NetGalley. Thanks!

Knitmare on Beech Street is the 10th book in the Knit & Nibble Mystery series by Peggy Ehrhart. I have read this series from the beginning and always enjoy returning to the friends of the Knit & Nibble group. This is the perfect Halloween cozy with a old victorian that is haunted, a mysterious death of a paranormal writer and a cast of charming fun supporting characters to add to the fun. The sleuth was well crafted to conclusion and this cozy reader was pleased to not figure out the conclusion. The author has a pleasing writiing style and the details are very well articulated within the story of small town friends, a love of knitting and solving murders. I cannot wait unitl the next in series. Well done to the author of 10th in series.

Another excellent book in the series! I just love the author's writing style, it’s so poetic - it flows so beautifully. The characters are lovely and you really get a sense of knowing them. The author is very descriptive, and I find reading the small details of her everyday life comforting. The mystery is interesting and believable. In addition, there aren't holes/errors in the story. This author/publisher clearly spends a lot of time error checking the story. I highly recommend this series/book, it is one of my favorites (if not favorite) of all the cozy series' I read (and I read a lot of them).

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books/Cozies for this wonderful ARC. I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion and I’ve posted this review to my blog, Goodreads, & Bookbub accounts. I will post it on my Amazon account as soon as Amazon allows (typically it’s the publication date, 11-28-23).

Just the cozy for getting into the spooky season. There's a new neighbor in the Knit & Nibble Mystery series. When Pamela, Bettina and friends go over to meet her, they find her deceased in the kitchen. The victim's job was debunking paranormal instances. The old Victorian home she had just inherited was rumored to be haunted. Strange things start happening from lights to noises at night. Pamela and friends are determined to find out just what happened and by whom.
Great cast of characters that are well developed. Good solid mystery. Definitely a cozy to cozy up with! Thanks #Netgalley and #KensingstonBooks for the eARC in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are totally mine.

Like visiting old friends. Pamela and Bettina felt like characters that could easily step right off the page and sit down around my kitchen table to enjoy chatting and laughing about life in general. I don't knit but I'm sure they could teach me. They could also teach me a thing or two about persistence and sleuthing out answers. Now, true, Pamela would probably rather Bettina wasn't so persistent in probing her romantic life but, well, that's what friends are for. They frequently know us almost better than we know ourselves. Bettina uses her reporter persona as an excuse to keep probing but it's obvious she's as invested in finding answers as Pamela, who frequently seemed just along for the ride. Both are caring and smart, however, and bring those qualities to the the solving of a murder. Even Pamela's daughter Penny shows some knack for sleuthing. Who killed new resident Tassie? That question and more kept me guessing until the big reveal. Oh, I was sure I had it figured out but, nope. I didn't see this one coming but should have.

Could Tassie have actually died of fright? Turns out, that's possible, albeit unlikely. She already knew the house was supposedly haunted and her career even revolved about debunking such stories. How about the mega-snoopy, apparently lonely neighbor, Win? Why was she so invested in the murder? How about the neighbor on the other side? Between his almost obsessive cleaning of the driveway and quick closing of the trunk of his car and garage door when Pamela and Bettina approach, not to mention he can't seem to account for the absence of his wife, he seems suspect. Could it have been someone from Tassie's past? Why are there eerie sounds and lights emerging from the house? Is it really haunted? What secrets might the old house be hiding? Who... oops, more than enough teasers.

Since the fun is in figuring it out on your own, I'll just say you will enjoy the relaxed, occasionally slow pace of this book. Initially that annoyed me but, as I fell into the story, much like the almost mesmerizing rhythm of knitting, I actually felt myself relaxing into the rhythm and pace. Just be sure you have a snack or two on hand as the goodies discussed will make you hungry. And, don't forget to check out the recipes at the end, not to mention the knitting patterns. Photos available on the author's website. There also seems to be a slow build of romance between Pamela and handyman Pete, formerly of Wall Street. I enjoyed his role in the story and hope to see him stick around. I mean, not only do Pamela and he share the same first initial, but their last name is already the same, Paterson. Somewhere inside of me the hidden teenage girl gushed that "it's meant to be". So, thanks #NetGalley and #KensingtonBooks - #KensingtonCozies for allowing me to visit Pamela and her wonderful circle of friends again, including the cats. I mean, can't leave out Ginger, Catrina, and Precious. Ha

Knitmare on Beech Street is the 10th book in the Knit & Nibble Mystery series by Peggy Ehrhart. I love this series and this story doesn't disappoint. There were plenty of twist and turns that keep you guessing on you the killer is and why. Sit down with your favorite cup of tea, coffee or even hot chocolate and enjoy this wonderful cozy read.

Voorhees House has a new resident…and when Pamela and Betting go to welcome their colleague to town, they find her dead. Is it the work of the spirits that are said to haunt the house? With no evidence to the contrary, Pamela and Bettina have their hands full figuring out who killed the author.

I love the Knit and Nibble gang and this book is just another hit in the series! It’s well written and the mysteries are well thought out and full of enough red herrings, or in this entry a lack of clue, to keep you guessing and wondering to the end.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of KNITMARE ON BEECH STREET (Book 10 of the Knit & Nibble mystery series) by Peggy Ehrhart in exchange for an honest review. Is Voorhees House haunted by bad luck or just haunted? Voorhees House was a rundown Victorian recently inherited by ghost debunking author Tassie Hunt. As fellow publishing colleagues, Pamela and Bettina are invited to accompany some of their friends who are officially welcoming the new author to town. However, their visit is too late; they find Ms. Hunt dead on her kitchen floor. While the estate is being worked out, strange lights and sounds continue to emit from Voorhees House during the night. Bettina, irritated by the sensationalist writings of another newswoman working for a more-frequently-published newspaper, takes a page from Ms. Hunt’s books and determines to debunk the haunting. Of course, Pamela is there to assist.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring knitting and food.

While going to welcome a newcomer to Arborville, Pamela and Bettina find themselves caught up in murder. The woman they went to visit is dead on the floor. This certainly wasn't the welcome they had anticipated!

I always enjoy these books-the mystery is well-written and the supporting characters can stand on their own. I'm not a knitter but I want to be one with each mystery. Also, I love the descriptions of the delicious food Pamela make a and buys from the Co-op grocery! The author creates characters that you feel could "step off the page" and the detail she gives the reader is wonderful.

Be sure to have a snack on reach when reading and knitter's, I know you'll love the knitting instructions at the end of the book.

The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Bettina and Pamela are part of a welcoming committee, there to welcome the new resident of a spooky old Victorian home. They find the new resident dead on her kitchen floor, and a freshly baked blueberry pie curiously on the counter. One nosy neighbor thinks the house is haunted because of strange lights and sounds she heard coming from the home. After another person is murdered in the home, Pamela and Bettina use their combined investigative skills to try and find a murderer. This was a relaxing and nicely paced cozy with plenty of red herrings and very likeable main characters. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next offering in this series.

"Knitmare on Beech Street (A Knit & Nibble Mystery #10)" by Peggy Ehrhart had some more realistic descriptions for people than most cozy mysteries I've read, and I've read a LOT of cozy mysteries. I appreciated that not every guy is handsome in one way or another. Plus, those guys aren't old or mean. They're perfect happy middle aged men with loving wives.

The mystery part felt purposely distracting. Like a big look over here so you don't look too closely at who did it. So, due to that, I really didn't suspect the murderer until nearly the reveal.

Despite the title and the haunting part of the plot, it is set in late spring/early summer. I feel like a Halloween theme opportunity was missed with this one.

#KnitmareonBeechStreet #NetGalley is a great addition to this fabulous series.
Pamela is preparing for her daughter's trip to Guatemala as she's also feeling her way around a possible relationship with her new friend, Pete.
Of course this story would never be the same without Bettina, Pamela's best friend.
Bettina and Pamela pay a visit the new resident in the Voorhees house, hoping to welcome her to their neighborhood, but things don't go as planned.

I have come to love this series by Peggy Ehrhart and I look forward to every new book!
I'm so happy to recommend this series to other readers!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of the book.
