A brilliant, well plotted and well executed crime thriller.
Beginning in 1975 where a gruesome murder takes place, then changing to the present day, where a retired detective (Bill) is a resident in a retirement home, where a post mortem reveals a murder has taken place.
Excellent writing style and character development, especially the main character, Bill. The story is immersive and captivating throughout. This is a clever thriller with a huge twist towards the end. Highly recommended.

I loved this author's Patterson and Clocks series and I devoured each book with relish. Jack Knife is a stand alone which I devoured in one sitting. Set in a care home, don't let that put you off. Full of tension and suspense, heart stopping moments. Great story telling, wonderful characters and an ending that left me speechless You need to read this book I promise that you will not be disappointed.
Loved it and highly recommended.

This was the first iv read by this author and I really enjoyed it. The ending was amazing I didn't see it coming at all.

JACK KNIFE by Steve Parker is a pulse-pounding British crime thriller with an interesting twist. The ending was done very well and had my eyes popping open.

The story had great scene descriptions that made you feel right in the middle of the action. I enjoyed reading the book and getting to know this author's writing style.

Jack Knife is an enjoyable crime thriller and one I would recommend.

Another great book by Steve Parker. I love story’s that have two different time lines or at least a back story. I also love twists nd turns nd this one had both. Very much highly recommend.

An excellent standalone read, which I found extremely thought provoking regarding end of life care. You might think twice about leaving your close relatives in a care home after reading this! Twists and turns galore you don't want to miss out on this one!

I thought this book was OK, it wasn't as great as the others I had read but I was willing to give it a try and finish it. It was very suspenseful and full of twists and turns which were ok.

I don't even know what to say about this book?! I had it all ready, it was going to be like, well this book was interesting but really no suspense or killings or gore etc but then!! Omg that ending or near ending came out of nowhere!! I thought this book was about and old copper hung up on a serial killer?! And in a way I guess it was but geez that ending made this whole book! Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! I'm still sitting here with my jaw on the floor! I just didn't expect ant of that! Great book! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
