The Fall Back Plan….
I read this sweet story in 4 hours! I couldn’t put it down and just kept reading.
I loved Jolie. She has suffered so much. No mom and her father an alcoholic. She left her small town of Harvest Hallow. She comes back after making something of herself and buys a bar.
Lucas Cole is the sheriff in town. He was a troubled kid growing up. He also didn’t have a good home life. Jolie used to tutor Lucas and let’s just say it didn’t go well.
Once lucas finds out Jolie is the owner, she most definitely catches his eye. He is the guardian of his niece Brooklyn. Jolie steps in to help mentor Brooklyn.
Well working together to solve a town mystery, Jolie and Lucas, they understand each other more.
Will Jolie be able to forgive, let go of her past, and find happiness with Lucas?
Enjoy this heart warming, sweet story. You won’t regret it.
when she moves back to town after 10 years away, so does it as a big screw you to all the people who made fun of her in high school.
but what she doesn’t expect to happen is to fall In love with one of those high school bullies.
————————————————
Jolie McGraw moves back to town and buys the place she hates most - Sullivans Bar to start it over and erase the bad memories she has there.
She quickly starts running into old classmates who made her life a living hell back in the day including Lucas Cole. Former bad boy she tutored who now happens to be…. The sheriff?
She comes to find that Lucas is now the guardian of his niece, and Jolie immediately sees so much of herself in her that she need to step in as her mentor, spending more time with Lucas along the way.
Lucas helps to solve a case where Jolie was wrongly accused (by the high school mean girl of course) and they have to work together to clear her name, so she and her bar have a future in Harvest Hollow.

Y’all this book!! Lucas is my new favorite book boyfriend. I loved the back stories of both MC. The patience that Lucas had for Jolie and his softness towards her was beautiful. It was almost a reverse grumpy sunshine but Jolie wasn’t necessarily grumpy just hardened. This was such a cozy perfect fall read! 🧡
this was such a sweet book! while it did have its cringe worthy moments, i still enjoyed it. i loved the small town, tight knit, gilmore girls feel. i enjoyed the added mystery aspect, but i wish we got more time with the couple together. it was a slow burn, but without the burn. i wish there was more tension between the characters. this definitely felt like a fall hallmark movie, which i know some people will love! while it wasn't my favorite i would recommend it if that's what you're looking for. just go into it knowing you're not going to read anything profound.
This was adorable!
The second book in the Sweater Weather series where each book takes place in the same small town but is written by a different author. All are closed door and if they're as cute as this one, my book budget is going to take a hit this month.
I loved the chemistry between Jolie and Lucas. And while it's clear he falls pretty fast, it doesn't feel instalove. Also gotta love a man who respects boundaries and is willing to (literally) put on the friendship hat.
This is a fun, lighthearted, laugh out loud, swoony, kissing only rom-com. But it does touch on some heavier topics like alcoholism, child neglect, and bullying. As always, take care of yourself.

The Fall Back Plan is the second book in the Sweater Weather RomCom series. This series is written by various closed-door romance authors with the stories all taking place in the same small town of Harvest Hollow. All stories can be read in any order or as standalones.
Oh my goodness, what a great book this was! When Jolie moved back to her hometown with a bit of a grudge, the last thing she expected was one of the school bad boys and her personal bully Lucas to be the new sheriff. When circumstances force them together, they discover they have both changed from the teenagers they used to be and learned from their difficult childhoods... and of course, sparks fly! And boy... do they fly! I absolutely adored the chemistry between these two. It may have been a slow burn, but the chemistry was definitely there throughout. While there were many great laugh out loud moments, I also really appreciated the depth of the story and how it approached some difficult topics like alcoholism and the lasting effects of bullying. It was a really great blend that had me rooting for these characters even more. Throw in a hint of mystery thanks to some creepy dolls? I'm sold! I really couldn't get enough of it.
And while I won't give away any spoilers... I'll just say this... trivia night? The absolute best! Trust me, you're going to want to read this one!
