Finding Mr. Purrfect by Codi Gary is a super cute, feel-good romance that had me hooked from the start. The story follows a woman named Holly who’s definitely not looking for love, she’s more focused on her career and her adorable cat. But, of course, she ends up crossing paths with a guy named Noah, who’s definitely her type.
What I loved about this book is how relatable Holly is. She’s independent, a little awkward at times, and just trying to make it on her own. Noah is swoon-worthy in the best way, sweet, funny, and totally not the kind of guy Holly expected to fall for. Their chemistry is so good, and watching them navigate their feelings while dealing with their own personal struggles was really refreshing.
The pacing is perfect for a romance, fast enough to keep you engaged but slow enough to let their relationship build naturally. There’s also a ton of heart, with funny moments and a few emotional ones that really made me connect with the characters.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
This was my first time reading something by this author and I found it to be a quite enjoyable read. I'm always a sucker for a fake relationship trope (because you know it always turns into something more!), so this was right up my alley. Charity hasn't had much luck with relationships recently so she decided to steer clear of men and put all her focus and energy into her business. But her plan takes a detour when she ends up alone on a trip with her BFF's boyfriend's best friend, Will. Charity sees Will as nothing more than a womanizer, but when her parents keep nagging her about being single, she gets desperate and enlists his help by asking him to fake date her. Will is not one for relationships, but he likes spending time with Charity, so he agrees. As they spend more time together, both of them begin to change their views, and what starts out as pretend, begins to blossom into something very real.
A fun and sweet story to be sure! The chemistry between Charity and Will was great and both were very likable characters. The storyline flowed nicely and the plot was fun to follow. I had a good time reading this and hope to read more of this author's work.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
3.5 ⭐ rounded to 4
this was a cute and cozy closed door romance with forced proximity, forbidden lovers, and fake dating
the characters were interesting, the angst was low, and the read was quick. this is a great palate cleanser book without major content warnings but having plenty of sweet moments
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
A perfect cat friendly read with lots of giggles and swooning moments. Fake dating is a favorite trope of mine and this book delivers a great story. Both MCs were dealing with personal and work related challenges and found themselves in love while fake dating.
Thanks to Forever Publishing for the ARC giveaway win! I used one of my Libro.fm credits to purchase the audiobook.
Finding Mr. Purrfect
By Codi Gary
Narrated by Henriette Zoutomou
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5)
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 (0-5) I need to look up what else she narrates.
Overall: 4/5
Steam: 🔥 (0-5) Kissing only and barely. It’s closed door in the sense that they say they are doing more than kissing.
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 The narrator is a great storyteller and excellent at dialogue. I especially love how she did the drama between Charity’s parents.
🤩 I enjoyed reading book 1 in the Meow and Furever Cat Café series called A Cat Café Christmas.
🤩 While book 1 will make you want to buy all the cats from their cute descriptions, caution with this book—it will make you crave all the cookies, pastries, and coffee drinks.
🤩 Cute illustrated couple cover.
🤩 Fun beginning with a holiday vacation including a New Year’s Eve resort party.
🤩 Cute plot with all the feels (except lust, see below): I laughed, oh no-ed, cried, smiled, longed, and loved.
🤩 Fake is one of my favorite tropes, and it works great here with two people who otherwise are unsure of feelings and commitment.
🤩 Families can be complicated and difficult. This book gives beautiful light to this fact.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 It takes quite a long time to get to know Charity and Will and to feel a connection between them.
💫 Now, let’s talk kissing only/closed door books. I really like kissing scenes in books. Even in spicy reads, many of the first hug and kiss scenes are my favorite. In kissing only and closed door romance books, I want to be left melting from every touch, caress, hug, and kiss. I love a good foot rub or neck massage. In this book, it seems like we barely get to experience the kisses, like it’s even closed door on the kissing.
I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity
I love the first book of the series this one was even better.
I adore Codi Gary's writing and Find Mr Purrfect is another wonderful novel! She finds a fantastic balance between sweet and spicy, and need I remind you, she adds in cats??!!
First, thank you to the publisher for a chance to read an early copy. Second, sorry this isn't super timely. I enjoyed this read. It was a fun follow up and it was nice to read about favorite characters in a cat cafe setting.
I read Codi Gary’s first book and needed to get my hands on this one. I love the fake dating along with mix of humor and serious. Charity’s relationship with her dad hit home for me and made me love this book even more than the first.
This was a great book. I connected with the characters. I felt engrossed with the plot. I would read another book by this author.
This book was a bit long for me and kind drugged out. Very much YA not adult fiction. #whereisthesmut
This was a cute book, with cute cat play on words. Also had interesting family dynamics that helped build characters backgrounds and why the way they were.
This book was so cute! As a cat lover and a romantic this book was everything I wanted!! It was so soft, heartwarming, and just warm!
A sweet love story about people coming into love with the typical family baggage of people in their 30s, but working through it because their feeling motivate them to do so.
Bonus points for lots of cute cats and delicious food that made me want to snuggle with my own rescue kittens while eating a cupcake or two.
Off-page intimacy but on-page attraction, and lots of twists and turns to keep me reading.
Recommend!
I absolutely was over the moon to get this ARC because I loved the first book so much!! This book was even better than the first and I read this in one sitting. I was totally obsessed with Charity and Wills story!!! Chef's kiss!! Perfect!!

I was really excited about this book. Unfortunately, the characters fell flat and weren't enough to capture my interest for the whole book.
I tried so hard with this book I dnf'd it to begin with and then decided to revisit, hoping that I had just not given it enough of a chance. I completed the book the second time around, but unfortunately, I just did not enjoy it. I didn't really feel the Chemistry Between the main characters, there were miscommunication elements that I found irritating, and honestly, I just felt very bored.
I’ll start by saying I don’t love cats but that didn’t stop me from reading this!
Finding Mr. Purrfect was a super cute fake-dating story about Charity and Will. They both are in Mexico for a wedding and Charity convinces Will to fake-date to keep her parents off her back.
Super cute story and lots of laughs.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book.
