Just WOW! This is my 5th book by Miranda Smith and I’m hooked! Definitely a big fan here. The characters were fabulous and kept me flipping pages long into the night. This book was non stop action. Packed with tons of twists and turns. Oh my word the reveals! Just fantastic.
Highly recommend

Oh, this is a good one! A destination thriller is my favorite kind of thriller. A group of friends gets together and it all goes wrong. Such a fun read.

It’s been almost one year since Siennas twin sister, Samantha, died in what was deemed to be a “drunken accident”. When this happened Sienna was away in Europe when she found out that her sister had died. She also had a voicemail from her sister but when she tried to call back, Samantha did not answer.
When she gets a phone call from her sisters friends, and also the people who happen to be working for Samantha’s company, inviting her to a weekend away in a cabin to do a remembrance for Sam. Hesitant at first but decided to go.

What a book! I got hooked the first few pages and didn’t even realize how fast I was reading it until I was done in a few hours! You are always trying to figure out who Sienna can truly trust on this weekend away and I, for one, couldn’t figure it out! I loved that! I am so grateful that I got chosen to read this book! If anyone has read her other books, I highly recommend this one!

This was my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last! Thank you so much to the author, net galley and the publisher for the ARC!

This captivating read had me hooked from start to finish! It delves into the intricate dynamics of a close-knit friend group, filled with drama and juicy gossip. Sienna, who lost her twin sibling a year ago, embarks on a weekend getaway with her twin's closest friends. The narrative takes a thrilling turn in the latter half of the book, unveiling a web of deceit and hidden truths. The final part of the story is an absolute rollercoaster, keeping you eagerly flipping through the pages!

The Weekend Away is a gripping, can't-put-down psychological thriller. Sienna's twin sister Samantha tragically died a year ago; her death, at the time, was ruled an accident. However, Sienna has always thought there was more to her sister's death than the police were willing to believe. Now, Samantha's closest friends are renting a cabin in the mountains for the weekend in order to memorialize her, and Sienna has been invited. While at first, she was hesitant to go, after finding Samantha's diary, Sienna is now determined to not only go but to blow up the whole weekend. She has proof that each and every "friend" of Samantha's was hiding something, and, now, more than ever, she believes Samantha's death was not an accident.

The Weekend Away is fast-paced and exciting. There are plenty of twists and surprising reveals. The characters are interesting and well-developed. Each character's actions, while not necessarily the most moral or ethical, have a reason behind them. This is a "read-in-one-night" type of book; I just didn't want to put it down. I found the end to be unpredictable (which, I really appreciate in a thriller) and satisfying. I will definitely be recommending The Weekend Away to anyone looking for a great thriller.

Fast-paced murder mystery perhaps or not...It's how you see it.
Great well built characters all around. So much mystery that keeps you turning the pages. Loved everything about this book.
Definitely kept me guessing..

Thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an early release of this book.

Sienna's twin sister Samantha died a year ago in what was deemed an accident. Sienna was away in Europe at the time and received a voicemail from her sister saying she really needed to talk to her. When Sienna called back it was too late. Now she's been invited on a memorial trip with the group of friends her sister was not only close to but in business with. Sienna has just found Sam's diary which reveals things she never knew about the group and even her sister. Was Sam’s death an accident and if not why?

Wow! A book I raced through without quite realising it if that makes sense. There is a fantastic tension between the pages and I was on the edge of my seat. There are a few well placed red herrings and it's a well thought out, brilliantly executed plot line that kept me engrossed right to the end. I liked Sienna and felt for her predicament, again to me clever writing. A book I found difficult to put down with some heart stopping moments along the way- that served to keep the pages turning. One you are not quite sure who to trust and who has the real secrets. Please sign me up for the next one now! ‘Nuff said!

A great read that I kept wanting to finish! I love a book about a friend group with drama gossip! Sienna's twin died a year ago and now she is on a weekend trip with her twin's best friends. Things start to get really interesting in the second half as lies and secrets are exposed. The last part of the book is super crazy and definitely page turners!

My Review:
Loved!!!!! This author is one of my favs and this book proves why. She knows how to give you a heart attack but in such a good way. She always has so many twists and turns in her books too. You never see any of them coming either. I also have to warn you that you will get nothing done until you finish this one. It’s so hard to put down. I read it in just a few sittings and it kept me wanting more as each chapter passed by. What more can you ask for in a great book. Now let’s talk about this book for a minute. The characters were awesome in this one. You didn’t know who or what to trust in any of them. They all had something to hide. Next up, the plot. It kept me on my toes the whole way through. It was just that interesting. I couldn’t wait to finish this one to find out what happened. Last by not least that shocker of all shockers of an ending. I was like what!!!!! I can’t wait to read this authors next book.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
