wow this is the first danielle stewart book i have read and i stayed up reading this i just didnt want too put it down it was full of twists and turns and has you wondering who too trust at some point. Literally you think you know where the stories going then something else gets thrown in. I love elizabeth jules and brysons characters you cant help but feel a connection towards them.
cant wait for more from this author.
The blurb made this book sound interesting, and intriguing, making me want to know more. However, I had a hard time getting into this book. There were a bunch of twists and turns along the way but nothing that kept me wanting to keep reading more.
Amazing, a really good book and I donβt expect the ending, loved it and I hope I donβt have to wait too long for another book from the author
*****I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
This book took quite a while before it hooked me. I put it down quite a few times. Because I was te it I would pick it back up again. As it went on the story got better. It still wasnβt great, but readable.
I am not really sure if The Teacher is the best title for this. It was a very minor part in the overall story. Perhaps a different title would be a better fit.
Although a slow start to get to the main storyline this book had me gripped and i just wanted to keep reading to find out the next part of the story
I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I enjoyed some parts of this book but just not all of it. There were just too many secrets and twists that it actually made it confusing at times.
While I felt this book had great potential, unfortunately I just couldnt get into it. This one just wasnt for me.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read this book.

This book was one that intrigued me instantly. I have also never wanted to do anything but teach. This has been every bit as gripping and twisty as I had hoped.
I was transported by this one. This is unlike any book Iβve read previously, most definitely gripping and unpredictable.
Stewart has made me feel as though this is playing out ahead of me. I loved this book, I quickly became unwilling to put this down.
This is perfectly paced and definitely addictive. I devoured this book in just one sitting and have been left wanting more.
Stewart has made my pulse race, my heart pound and kept me on the edge of my seat. All signs of a brilliant author.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

From the description this sounded like it was going to be an excellent book but sadly I couldnt get into it. I see from all the other reviews that I am in the minority, but unfortunately this one wasnt for me.
In this heart-poundingly addictive & twisty #psychologicalthriller, Elizabeth is faced with a terrible situation. Sheβs had an idealistic adult life, but her world is turned up suave down and sheβs torn over what she should do. This one had my mind shocked with the twists.
Thank you, Danielle Stewart, Book, Bookouture, & netgalley for my copy! All opinions are my own.
The Teacher is the second book I've read by Stewart and it certainly didn't disappoint.
The author takes us on a fast paced ride full of twists and turns as we follow teacher Elizabeth whose son has been accused of rape by one of her pupils.
What a situation to find yourself in, which way do you turn in something like this, do you follow your maternal instinct or do you believe your pupil?
I really enjoyed the book and devoured it in twenty four hours. It's well plotted, has some realistic characters and an ending that will blow your mind...I certainly wasn't expecting it!
This was an amazing psychological thriller. Elizabeth has had a hard life growing up. She loves her career as a teacher and has a lot of compassion for her students. She is married to an attorney and has a teenage son who is a student at the high school where she teaches. Her teaching methods are a little bit unconventional, but it seems to work. She becomes invested in a new student who reminds her of herself at that age. I canβt go much further with the story because I donβt want to give anything away. There are so many twists and turns in this book. As soon as I thought I had things figured out there was an explosive surprise ending. It kept me riveted right to the end!
Wow this book had so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming, this is a book that I couldn't out down and I can't wait to read more by this author.
BLOG TOUR REVIEW
Review for 'The Teacher' by Danielle Stewart.
Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Danielle Stewart, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous
Publication date 20th October 2023.
This is the second book I have read by this author. I have also read 'The Girl At The Party' which I would also recommend.
This novel consists of a prologue, 47 chapters and an epilogue. The chapters are medium in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!
'The Girl At The Party' discusses some topics that may upset some readers or may not be suitable for others. I like to point this out ahead of time in my reviews so you can judge if this book is for you or not. In this book Danielle discusses mental illness, $3%u@1 @bu$3 and traumatic childhood.
This book is fast paced with one thing happening after another leaving me needing to know what was going to happen next.
It is ram packed with tension, drama, twists, lies, mystery, secrets, red herrings and much more! It is told through multiple narratives as well as multiple timelines which gives the reader a larger picture of what is going on. There were several twists throughout the book and every time I thought I had it worked out Danielle threw another twist in the book which made my theories go out the window. The ending was definitely unexpected and did leave me mind blown and considering how many crime books I have read that is definitely a huge bonus as it is getting harder and harder to surprise me. I am looking forward to seeing what Danielle comes up with next! It is set over multiple time lines. When books show what has happened in the past and what is happening in the present I find it really helps the reader (if it is well done) understand why things are happening and what has lead to the present activities and decisions. It also shows the bigger picture. There are three main protagonists that tell us the story and they are Elizabeth, Daisy and Rick. I must admit that I did struggle with them at times. Elizabeth was out of order with her actions and should not have done what she did, she should have gone straight to the authorities regardless. It is hard to say much really without giving anything away. Unfortunately this is one of those books where I enjoyed most of the storyline but the characters just drove me over the edge from love to hate to hate which is the reason I cannot give the full 5/5 stars. However, although I wasn't a fan of the characters don't let this put you off as just because I didn't like them it doesn't mean you won't and the storyline is definitely worth a read!!! The twists left me gobsmacked and definitely made up for the character dislike!!! Grab your copy today and let me know your thoughts!!!
Make sure you read to the very end of the book to read the prologue and first two chapters of Danielle's 'The Girl At The Party' which is actually one I have already read and if you enjoyed this book then I can guarantee you will enjoy that one too. I would recommend reading it!!!
Overall a fast paced and secret packed thriller filled with twists you won't see coming!

MY REVIEW
Told from the perspectives of different characters, with the main character Elizabethβs occasional flashbacks to what happened in her past, this slick, fast paced, twisty thriller was just what I needed to lift me up on βone of those daysβ. Okay, so once or twice my suspension of disbelief was stretched a little, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Elizabeth has a lot on her plate, trying to find out the truth about the allegation against her own son, but also with the messages alluding to her troubled past. It shows strength of character while also demonstrating what desperation can make you do.
Overall, I enjoyed the read, and recommend this to any readers of quality thrillers. Itβs also a great introduction to the authorβs other books. I gave The Teacher, by Danielle Stewart, four stars and look forward to what she creates next.
Elizabeth is a teacher at a school and while at the school, a girl named Daisy approaches towards her telling her that she was sexually assaulted at a party. Thinking that maybe her son Bryson might also be a part of it as he was also present at the party, Elizabeth tries to help Daisy but then things get a little too far when Daisy files a complaint against Elizabeth.
This was a fast paced thriller and the story divides into Elizabeth, Daisy, Rick (Elizabeth's husband) and Jules (Elizabeth's sister) POV. In Elizabeth's POV the story divides between past and present as the incident of Daisy is eerily similar to what Elizabeth experienced long time ago. There were some twists and turns along the way and many of the characters in this story are all unreliable narrators which makes the story more intriguing and interesting. The ending was unexpected and did not really expected the twist towards the end. This is also an unputdownable thriller that will keep you on the edge. Overall, if you are looking for a thriller that will keep you up all night, then try this one--worth 4.5 stars!
Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only.
"The Teacher" was an enjoyable read! From start to finish I was immersed in this storyline, it kept me flipping pages eager to try and solve the mystery.
The author crafted an intriguing plot with twists and turns that leave you wondering if any of the main characters are truly trustworthy. The FMC experienced many heartbreaking events in her life that may be triggering for some but I thought the author did a good job writing them into the story with sensitivity.
I would definitely recommend reading this Thriller.
Thank you Danielle Stewart, Net Galley and Bookouture for providing me with an ARC of this book!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. I couldn't get into this one and ended up DNFing at 20%. From the reviews i've read it sounds like a great premise so others might enjoy it!
I have very mixed feelings about this book.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy reading The Teacher and think that it handled some delicate subjects quite well, but perhaps the twists went a little too far.
Teaching is one of the most vital careers, and yet chronically underpaid, under appreciated and understaffed. They're practically an extra parent to our children, mandated reporters for their wellbeing, but where is the line in the sand?
There's so many rules and guidelines about teaching put in place to protect both the teacher and the student, but it doesn't always account for humanity, the grey area. The Teacher explores this really well and showcases a few complications of how things could go incredibly wrong even if it was started with the best of intentions.
Personally, for me there's one too many twists and reveals and the story folding back on itself for me to really enjoy it. Over egging the pudding so to speak.
However they were very clever with few contradictions so I can't be too harsh.
The Teacher drew me in from the first page. While some aspects were predictable to me, there were many twists that I did not see coming at all. The amount of twists this book had made my thriller loving heart happy. The dual timelines made this a fast read. Packed with drama and untrustworthy characters this one kept me from knowing who to believe. Read this if you're looking for a book with great twists.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
