I had a hard time staying interested in this book. It was a neat concept with the storylines converging, but i had a hard time finishing it
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this review copy
One of Us Is Gone is an atmospheric and fun read. Characters were well written and some were easier to connect with. Plot was slightly predictable once you got to the know characters, But overall an enjoyable read.
This ya mystery is to die for!! I loved it. I kept me on the edge of my couch for hours until the end! Probably one of the best in its genre to come out and that I have read! 5 stars!
I just reviewed One of Us Is Gone by Shauntel Anette. #OneofUsIsGone #NetGalley

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book. Unfortunately, I found it hard to get into this book, the storyline didn’t grab me like others have.
I didn't think this story was as developed as it could have been and it didn't hook me as much as I had hoped it would from its description. While it was certainly interesting, I felt it could have been a bit more flushed out and the characters actualized more.
This was a little hard to stick with in the beginning. Could not keep up with the characters. Then once you get it the pace is good the plot of the book is good and rings true to the synopsis. But I wasn’t a fan of the ending as much as I had hoped to be.
This was a good story, but deff young adult and more underdeveloped than it could be. We get to follow Sarah, Cleo & Milton’s life 10 days before Sarah’s disappearance & in the now. While Sarah’s chapters are nicely date stamped, the now chapters aren’t wich leads to confusion about the pace of the story. There were alot of storylines to follow and they were fleshed out nicely wich I enjoyed, altho sometimes becoming repetitive. The ending on the other hand was short and no surprise to me sadly enough, and I felt barely any connection to the characters. Deff an easy enjoyable read if you want a quick easy story!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was so excited to read this book because it seemed to be a really intetesting concept. And there are enjoyable parts but unfortunately its very repetitive and kind of feels like immature stereotypes are copy pasted. I really struggled to finish this one. Unfortunately it isnt one that i would recommend.
Thank you to net galley and the author for letting me read this arc.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
It took me a minute to get into One of Us is Gone, but once I did I finished it before the end of the day. I am normally not a fan of dual perspectives, but it worked for me this time.
All and all it was an OK YA book and a fun mystery.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc.
This book is classified as a YA Thriller. The genre fits as the characters are younger and almost entirely insufferable. While it was probably intended, the characters were just extremely frustrating and hard to like. It did make the book drag a bit, but the overall arching mystery did make the book a quicker read in the end.
I'd definitely recommend this book to the YA crowd, but if you're a bit older, it may be hard to enjoy it.
For a YA book I thought it was pretty decent. The characters were horrid but I'm assuming that was on purpose. I wasn't as hooked as I normally would be, but I'm also not a young adult so probably am invested in other things. It was a quick read with a few decent twists
I initially was drawn in by the cover and description as these are the books that grab my attention. When reading I felt immersed at points but it didn't feel enough to hold my attention. However did read it quickly but didn't feel compelled to read it all in one sitting like I usually do with books of this genre.
This book had a great premise but it just took too long and was too repetitive. Also none of the characters were redeeming in any way, they were all selfish jerks and it was hard to care about any of them. Maybe that was the authors point but it didn’t make me invested in any of their issues. There were some red herrings that were given too much time. I finished the book because I wanted to see it through but the end felt anticlimactic.
I was expecting this one to really grab my attention, but honestly it just didn’t do it for me and I found myself losing concentration often.
