First of all, I liked the message of this book. The book reaffirmed the keys to health with a great summary of tips around sleep, eating, water and exercise. I particularly liked the chapter on gut health with a list of resistant starches and fermented foods. I definitely noted foods I would more regularly incorporate into my diet. Overall I liked the push towards using food (as opposed to just relying on supplements and diets) as "medicine" to help our bodies perform at their best. While I did get some additional tips, overall, I don't feel I learned much new in this book. Instead it reinforced some of what I have already read.

Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for an ARC and I left this review voluntarily.

Very informative, was looking for more ideas in application with examples or recipients. But still very interesting and important especially in America’s diet culture.

Thanks to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for access to this book in exchange for my honest review..

This book felt like a slap on my hand. So many things we know are good for us as common sense but we don't do. Eating healthy shouldn't be such a struggle. This book goes in depth of why we need to be careful of what we eat. I really appreciate the amount of research this doctor did to compile all this in his book and how he shares his experience with his readers. If you've always procrastinated eating healthily and exercising, this book might be the push you need !

A humorous and educational book that deals with the obvious point that our diet affects our health and that ultra processed food and processed food is bad for your health. Dr Kringold takes us right back to the stone age, when mankind was a hunter gatherer and discusses the impact of agriculture on humans. The book is filled with information about diet.
I like the fact that he references his sources as well, because I was able to access them online, or the two of them that I chose to reference. I might get more later and at least I know that I can.
His recommendation that we need to exercise is also useful.
A really comprehensive guide to diet, written by a man well qualified as a medical practitioner. This book is highly recommended.
