A comprehensive primer to social media. I would suggest it to those new to the business and those needing a refresher. The crisis management section is reason enough to purchase this book. While it’s something you hope you’ll need, it’s a quick and easy resource to have on your shelf.
This is a very comprehensive book on social media strategy, taking you from the start to more advanced uses of social media. It covers pretty much everything you might need to know but is very much aimed at businesses. However, there is still a lot of information to help the individual that wants to build their social media presence. It may be in depth but it is easy to read and does not feel like a chore. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to up their social media game.
The perfect practical guide to social media! It's the most in-depth guide and a new, updated 2nd edition. Though I never read the 1st edition, this one is comprehensive and covers why social media is now mandatory for businesses and what to expect from social media outreach and strategy. It covers how to align social media to your brand and how to introduce social listening to general insights that can boost a businesses bottom line. Case studies are helpful throughout. The most helpful to me was the coverage around organic vs paid social media to reach business objectives and how to measure the results of each. I hope to never have to use the crisis management section but, if you need it, it's there! What a wonderful, comprehensive primer on social media that should be on every social media manager's shelf.
